Boomerang carnets® is the exclusive issuing authority for Carnet de Passages en Douane, the “Vehicle Passport” in the U.S. and Canada. The CPD is an international customs document for the temporary admission of motor vehicles (private and commercial road motor vehicles) in countries where required. It serves as a customs declaration identifying the vehicle to be imported and constitutes an international guarantee for Customs of the payment of import duties and taxes chargeable should the vehicles not be re-exported. Appointed by Federation Internationale de L'Automobile in 2015.

No other choice than to do business…
No other choice than to do business with boomerang carnet if North American. They complicate things and ask for exorbitant prices to be paid. Takes the fun out of traveling with your own vehicle. Would not recommend.

Overall good experience
Overall good experience, but unlike their ATA Carnets, the process is done via antiquated printed forms and back-and-forth communication instead of via an online tool/form. They always did respond quickly quickly to any questions that I had and provided documentation on time.

Too bad there's no alternative.
...in fact, why is a regulatory monopoly even looking for ratings? Do people rate the DMV too? I would give my local DMV 3 stars.
