Terrible

Terrible, unethical company. They contacted me last week about a debt that is apparently in my name but it isn’t my debt. Someone has obviously used my ID without my knowledge. There was an electricity bill in a state i’ve never lived in. I explained it wasn’t my debt. The woman, Kayla, said it sounded like it was fraudulent and that I needed to send documents proving I lived in a different state at the time which I can do with things like payslips showing I was working in the only state I’ve lived in. But then she changed to saying “it MIGHT be” still saying I was lying about it not being my debt. So told me several times she had sent me an email requesting certain documents, so we ended the call because she had sent the email and now I needed to respond to it with documents. She assured me she had sent the email. But then I checked my email account and it wasn’t there. So I called back, then she claimed she had told me she had sent the email to her manager not me. Which is not what she said at all. I was recording the conversation the entire time and I had told her I was recording it so I don’t know why she tried to say she said her manager. Then she tried to claim I was calling from a different phone number which I wasn’t as I inly have this one phone and i’ve had this phone number since 2007. It was all an act to try to make out that I was lying about the debt being mine. Really psychotic games they play. She told
Me to stay on the line, I said I would stay on the line until I receive the email. Then she hung up on me. So I called again, spoke to someone else, and they hung up on me also despite telling me to stay in the line. So I called again for a forth time. Spoke to a man named Michael. When I said it wasn’t my debt he said “then whose debt is it?” Which is an accusation, he’s saying it is my debt or I know who the debt belongs to. According to him identity theft isn’t possible. A little bit of intelligence would tell you if someone’s passport is used fraudulently and obtained online that they won’t know who the person is that’s using it. At this point he email arrived, so I try to check the documents required to make sure i’m sending the right things. I only have a passport for photo ID, I don’t drive or anything which makes getting 100 points of ID difficult. Then he said I needed to show a tenancy agreement for dates october 2024 to March 2025. My tenancy agreement starts in 2018 and i am still in the same house but he said specifically for those dates. Then he said he never said that. He must have forgot I was recording so I said to him I am recording it so I can play it back to prove he said it. Then he started to argue and more accusatory.

And while it’s fair enough that people lie about debts and claim it’s not theirs, and no point did any of these people treat me with respect, they didn’t treat me like a human being at all. I was garbage to them the entire time when i’m actually a victim of identity theft. There was no compassion or anything. michael was the worst of them.

The disgusting the way they treated me for a debt that isn’t mine. I can only image for people that actually do have debts, they’re probably not have a great times in life and these lousy debt collectors treat people like trash making things worse.

Too many fraud within this company

This company Don't have a good fraud prevention system. They have been accusing many of our customers that they need to pay bills they never got a service for!
In fact when you call them up to ask for more info about the bills and why it's coming under your name they send you an email asking for information and paperwork you should never give. Be careful and stay safe
