Reading through some of the vintage series published by Cupples & Leon is like taking a direct step back in time. The fast paced plots and retro illustrations bring a fantastic sense of historical charm that my kids actually enjoyed during our bedtime reading. My only small complaint is that the original typesetting and smaller print density used in their historical press runs can be a little tough on the eyes during long reading sessions. Still a classic publisher that defined early American youth fiction.
