Great platform, for features and ease of use
An easy to use platform, allowing me to post the details of my short notice and short term caring need for my daughter, and against all expectations to find a carer who was a great fit and looked after my daughter well. Also appreciated the ability to interact with the carer, and approve and pay for work, all online via the platform

The Perfect Carer from Curam
Earlier this year, I was happily surprised by a lovely young lady named Kasia M, who came into my life which was not as easy as I could have wished for now that I have reached my mid seventies when one deserves good health and a peaceful frame of mind. Kasia gives her everything ..she is a wonderful companion, being the greatest cure if one is not in the best of health and keeps a clean and tidy kitchen and ensures a generally ship-shape house.
I can recommend her whole-heartedly to anyone who needs a friend and a helping hand.

Excellent on the care side, but one aspect of admin needs improving.
My initial experience was to find a carer to help me when I was leaving a care home. The main thing that drew me to Curam was the flexibility of work schedules and not having to have care 5 or 7 days each week. I contacted two of the carers suggested and after speaking with one, I invited her to be my carer and have not looked back. On the down side, I don't understand the necessity of having to approve each payment with my bankers. It doesn't happen with other suppliers. But yes, I accept the need to approve each invoice with Curam.

Angeline, the angel.
We needed temporary care for my mum after a hip replacement and Angeline arrived. Words cannot convey how caring, compassionate, professional and incredibly kind Angeline was. My mum was reluctant to have help but as soon as they met, they became firm friends and Mum was sad to see Angeline move on to her next client. We would thoroughly recommend Angeline and found Curamcare very easy to navigate.

Fantastic professional care by Herjit…
Fantastic professional care by Herjit S. in Birmingham. First time away from home for my wife for over night stay, since leaving hospital six years ago. Being away without the ‘normal home safety blanket equipment’ & home care staff, Herjit made a very stressful experience, very comfortable & easy & has increased my confidence, to make this the first of many more trips away. I thoroughly recommend Curam for the supply of personal care staff. All the Carers are a credit to the company & their dedication to the care industry.

A friend recommended Curam Care
A friend recommended Curam Care, having had a very positive experience with her own mum.
My mum is 96 and until very recently has been very independent, and just receiving care from her family.
We have been very lucky to find a perfect match for our mum and to feel confident that a kind and competent carer is now able to look after her on a regular basis.
Knowing that this vital work is valued and that carers are also valued by being paid above the minimum wage is very important.
I would recommend Curam Care to anyone who has a loved one who needs help and support as they provide a directory of high quality and carers who have undergone appropriate safeguarding and professional checks.

What a great idea
What a great idea, to charge a nominal fee and have access to so many high calibre care workers.
I have found a wonderful person, Shayla, to help me care for my mum who has Dementia in Altzheimers.
Finding the right person is crucial to a happy life for my mum and being able to try out care workers to see if they are the right fit is vital.

Avoid this company at all costs
Avoid this company at all costs. I’ve been paying annually for my DBS check since 2015. Every employer I’ve worked with has been able to verify my certificate online using my certificate number and date of birth. However, Curam Care refuses to accept online checks, which is incredibly frustrating.
I contacted the official DBS service, and they confirmed that while I can’t log into my account to request a hard copy—because the account has expired due to inactivity—my DBS certificate remains active and accessible online 24/7, as I’ve continued to pay for it every year. In fact, I’ve been employed by two companies over the past two years who had no issues accessing my DBS.
Curam Care, on the other hand, has been extremely difficult to deal with. Their communication is rude and unprofessional, and their onboarding process is unnecessarily complicated. For context, I’ve been working in the medical and health sector since 2008, and I’ve never encountered such a problematic agency.

We are sorry you have found the onboarding process complicated; our aim is to make the process as easy as possible and have onboarded 10,000 professional carers to date.
Carer and client safety is very important to us at Curam, and we vet carers to a very high standard as they are lone workers. As part of this process, we need to see a photo of your enhanced DBS certificate so we can identify the type of role the check was carried out for, unfortunately, this is not displayed on the online update service check.
We have reviewed our messaging and can see no way in which our communication has been rude or unprofessional, and as you have deleted your account, the last message you sent is not visible to our team.
Safeguarding both our clients and care professionals is a priority for us, and these processes are put it place to keep everyone safe. If you ever have any questions or issues, please do get in contact with our support team at carer@curamcare.com.

Lucinda Norrys was exceptionally helpful, responsive and supportive when having to navigate the new process of finding care for a parent who has declined quickly. The on line app process is very efficient and i found the perfect carer Nicky B very wuickly.

My experience with Curum is amazing
My experience with Curum is amazing. The Curam support team is always there to help , guide and to support me in areas that I at times do not understand. There informative system is very good , they are very quick to inform carers about Clients who interested in hiring them. Curumcare looks after carers, they always want carers to be safe by making sure that carers gather enough information about the client before they accept accept the contract.

Finding the right carer for a loved one…
Finding the right carer for a loved one can be a minefield. A friend recommended Curam Care as my mum needed some help and support at short notice. The service provided is speedy and efficient and responsive and the focus on Safeguarding and security checks (DBS etc) is very reassuring. My mum has been connected with a wonderful carer who is now going to visit on a weekly basis. I am also so pleased to see that carers are paid a fair wage which acknowledges the hard work and skill involved in caring for vulnerable adults and the charging policy is clear and transparent. Efficient, professional and friendly
This was the first time I've used a company to find a live in carer for my mother. I contacted 5 companies and found our carer through Coram. They were by far the most professional and efficient. They were quick to return my calls and emails and kept me updated on my search, asking for feedback, changing their selections and making suggestions. At first I found their App difficult to navigate, but soon got the hang of it. And they would ring and email me regularly to make sure I knew my way around. We are delighted to have found a great carer who met all our criteria and my mother is extremely happy. Huge thanks to Lucinda for all her help. Payment was easy too. I expected to pay them a weekly fee, 12%, on top of the carers wages, but I did not expect them to take an additional 15% from the carer, which I think is unfair since other agencies, for nannies and creative staff only charge the client. That said, I would use them again, without hesitation. They genuinely seem to care and take the time to find you the right person.
