It is our policy not to engage with paid for Review Services and we do not therefore monitor this page on Trustpilot. We do however check in from time to time to ensure no customers had issues and if they have we do reach out to them and we expect this to continue under Ares. CUSTOMPC.IE ceased selling components and accessories on the 30th of September 2024. All custom desktop pcs , laptops , servers and workstations with warranty have been transfered and all customers have received new contact information to ensure they have even better support than we have been able to provide over the last 15 years. Custom Computers and Technologie Limited is no longer involved with CUSTOMPC.IE We would like to thank our loyal customers in Ireland and everywhere else and we would like to ensure all of our customers are aware that they have support from A.C.T. who have sent emails to all customers providing new support information and details. Our decision to cease selling components and accessories came from this being a service we started in 2021 to assist customers impacted by the rules change with regards Brexit in January of 2021. This service was never intended to be in place for 4 years. Unfortunately we had to cease providing this service after consultation with our core customers and we provided 120 days notice of the end of component sales. The transfer of CUSTOMPC.IE was never intended to take place in the same year however we felt this change would ensure continuity and better support across Europe and in ireland for our customers who had purchased custom pcs , laptops , servers and workstations. Component and accessory sales were reasponsible for less than 20% of or sales however 80% of our support tickets were from this 20% and this had impacted the level of support we could provide to the many customers who relied on us for support for their workstations , servers , gaming pcs and laptops which is why we took the decision to cease selling components and accessories. The opportunity to ensure a better level of support from our core customers came about as an added bonus and we could not refuse the opportunity given what this meant for our loyal customers. Support is still available direct at CUSTOMPC.IE and through the normal emails and we do not believe this will change given there was an undertaking to ensure the same email addresses were to be live for at least 12 months. The CUSTOMPC.IE brand is not part of the ARES Group and we expect the brand be taken to new heights by ARES.

Website desperately slow

Website desperately slow. Layout terrible. Ordered over a week ago and still "stock allocated" status. Both items were allegedly in stock so why the delay? No communication received from them regarding my order whatsoever. For a company only a few miles up the road from where i live, i could have walked up to collect them, it would have been faster. And as of today, 12th august, i still have not received my order from 3rd and 4th august. Absolutely terrible service.

As the service was ending on the last day of September any orders not processed or available were cancelled and refunded and an email sent to the customer or when possible a phone call was made..

Terrible customer communications/Long delays

I ordered some computer components for my partner's computer as a birthday gift. I was not informed of any delays or possible set-backs with my order. After ten days my order showed that it was in the "processing stage" but when I filed a support ticket, it went completely unanswered until I filed another ticket (which was promptly merged with the first and closed).
I chose this business because it was an irish owned company and I didn't want to deal with imports, but this has left a sour taste in my mouth regarding small computer stores.
I have recieved no communication from the company and would recommend shopping elsewhere for computer components if you want to avoid hassle.

Terrible

Terrible, it's over one week and I still didn't receive my order.
And it's nothing to do with brexit !
The seller just talking nonsense, seller located in EU and buyer located in EU.
Seller using dropshipping services so buying from him is the same as order from AliExpress :)

Ignored requests for refund after item that was noted in stock, needed to be ordered form Poland , no customer service

We do not ship products from Poland and we never have. We carry over €500,000 of stock in Ireland and a considerable amount more in our warehouse in Germany. Our websites states the delivery term for each component which varies from 5 to 10 business days depending on whether the item is in stock here in Ireland or comes from our facility in Germany. Our support staff answer all tickets , contact messages and even Whatsapp messages usually within a very short period during business hours. We however do not answer in the evenings or on weekends. Please also note that if you created an account when placing your order you can use direct messaging from within your account. Please contact support for information on your order.

In reply to your reply, I received no emails or texts until I sent in a support ticket (twice) and got tge same stock answer - we expect delivery in 1 to 3 days. Nothing about stock or travel problems. Not good enough.

Unfortunately over the last 2 weeks some orders have been delayed due to industrial action which has affected goods coming from Europe by Road primarily. When possible we have switched inward shipping to air however for some items this is just not possible We have sent emails to all affected customers and our staff have made many calls to ensure customers were updated with us offering alternative options when any ordered item was delayed.

Simon , This is an issue between you and your card issuer. It is impossible for us to take payment from a card unless the card passes security with the issuing bank by means of verification coming from the card holder. We do not receive payment card details with our payments processed by a merchant processor who protect both our security and the card holders security. What you are describing is Fraud and therefore you need to contact your card issuer who will investigate the transaction. New 3DS security in place for the last 3 years ensures only the card holder can authorise an online transaction with for example verification through the banks app which is installed on your phone. It is the online equivalent of chip and pin which had been in place for many years. These changes have reduced card fraud to almost zero. It should also be noted we employ Radar Security to ensure the integrity of all card payments.

Responsive and transparent

Purchased a top tier gaming PC and I have to say I was very happy with my experience. Each time I had a question they responded within a reasonable timeframe max reply took 48hrs due to a weekend. Once dispatched I was giving tracking number and received my PC within 24hrs. I do recommend them given my positive experience knowing some bad reviews however I assume those bad reviews are due to lack of patience. From time of purchase to dispatch it took 10 working days which I was following up with them daily and getting replies to my questions.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately negative reviews generally relate to component sales and unrealistic expectations which is one of the main reasons we are considering ending component sales. We provide this as a service given our business is building PCs however negative reviews from home pc builders can confuse our main customers who know us as the best pc builders in Ireland.

Competitively priced products from an Irish company

Product arrived in original packaging and in perfect condition. The product was competitively priced and delivery was fast; the fact that they are Irish is an extra bonus.

I bought a computer with these scammers…

I bought a computer with these scammers and a month later they robbed money from my account, I quickly let my bank know that I didn't purchase the computer part, but I knew it was them taking my money without authorization. Avoid these cowboys.

i have not recieved any update…

i have not recieved any update regarding my order which was ordered on the 20/04/24.regarding delivery date or it is being processed,Order #ORD-24-04-20-01152217
i have logged a ticket on the customer service portal but received no updates.ticket no LLA-410-80092 this is very poor customer service
i will be looking for my money back and could not recommend

gaming PC

My son got a gaming PC from here for Christmas. Was so quick and easy to set up. They had everything ready to go. They are always here to respond to any queries I have relating to it.

No Updates

The stated delivery timeframe for custom pcs is an estimate only and can changed based for example on the complexity of the build. We do our best to build , test and ship custom pcs as quickly as possible however we will never compromise the testing process which affects quality to ship faster. I do apologise for the delay but please understand that we must adhere to our quality control procedures even if this delays an order. We do however always send email updates and you can also view updates and notes from our technician and support staff by logging into your account
