Not a happy experience

I used the company to send a afternoon tea hamper to my Aunty earlier this year, also recommended for my Sister to send her friend for a Birthday both arrived as expected and we’re gratefully received so wanting a little thank you gift for my Daughter recently I had no hesitation in ordering again, however this hamper arrived during the recent hot weather and was such a let down, the butter, cream and jam were all completely liquids and dripping from the package as it was opened, I could not believe that it was sent out in just a cardboard box, I did contact the company by e mail and have not even had the courtesy of a reply, very bad customer service just in case Daffodil foods read this here is my order number

Disappointed

Having used this company a few times, both by myself and my husband, as gifts it was my go to choice for a family members 50th birthday. We live in wales and it was a little piece of wales from me to her. I ordered very close to the cut off date for next day delivery, so I wasn’t totally surprised when the gift didn’t arrive. I just assumed it would go out on the next delivery date, but it didn’t. I contacted the company by email several times, having failed to be able to contact them by phone. I was told they had no record of my order. I ordered and paid on the 14th May, and today 22nd I received a refund, without any apology. I will not be using this company again.

Wonderful authentic Welsh Afternoon Tea Gift Box

We were kindly gifted a Welsh Afternoon Tea Gift Box from Daffodil Foods for Christmas & we were so impressed by the quality & the freshness of the goods that we decided to send one to a good friend of ours. She absolutely loved it & she really enjoyed the Welsh cakes & the scones with the Welsh clotted cream & raspberry compote. We would highly recommend Daffodil Foods, thank you Lynne & Aled

I tried to give this company constructive feedback on the hamper I received from my sister as a birthday gift. My original email to Lynne was dismissed. It involved some rather stale scones and a totally uncuttable bara brith (too crumbling). So next I submitted a review to their website. This has been declined with the reason "not a real customer". Beggars belief. I will be advising my sister not to use them again.

First class service

I have used this company several times now and I have just received my latest one for my sister’s birthday.
I cannot fault their service I was kept informed and it an arrived on time as always thank you for your first class service . Will definitely use you again.

Surprise Anniversary Gift

I purchased this as a gift for my relatives wedding anniversary. I was very impressed with the website and the ease and clarity of ordering. The speed of delivery and especially "the day you want the gift to arrive" diary was amazing.
On the day, the gift box arrived as promised, the food (as I'm reliably told) was superb, faultless.

Well done all at Daffodil for delivering delightful food as promised, on time, no fuss, no dramas. Wow!

Welsh cakes arrived with best before…

Welsh cakes arrived with best before date the same day as delivery. When i raised this point with the company they asked for a photcopy of the packaging!!!
I then raised a complaint to the company by E mail - this was over 2 weeks ago and i have yet to receive the courtesy of a response. Very unprofessional at this stage.

Appalling customer service

Ordered afternoon tea on 6th July for my sister s 90th birthday and delivery on 22nd July (Monday) was confirmed by email.
When did not arrive was told that they do not deliver on Mondays. Did not arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday so I asked why?
Response was that since I was unhappy they had cancelled my order!

I suggested 22nd (monday) or 23rd and Daffodil chose 22nd the Monday!
I contacted them several times because they were not responding to phone calls or emails. They did not apologise but gave a refund

Thank you for your review. I’m sorry that you were not happy with our service. You did phone up to change the delivery date. Unfortunately we cannot deliver on Monday’s. I’m also sorry that you were not happy and that I was not able to respond to all your messages and that rather than kept annoying you further I provided you with a full refund and apology.

Ordered two hampers as gifts for…

Ordered two hampers as gifts for neighbours delivered to our address. Only one received one day later than indicated. Butter melted and cream warm, not sure what has happened to the second hamper. Packaging isn’t suitable for cream and butter, both items thrown out. Hide behind their delivery disclaimer. Awaiting response. Have been advised that I have a refund but not sure if it covers both boxes ordered as not shown in my account . The weather isn’t exceptional for this time of year, appreciate that delays can occur with royal mail 24 hour tracked but packaging is insufficient to protect items from deteriorating during transit in these circumstances.
Have now received a full refund for the two boxes ordered, the second one didn’t arrive but appreciate that the company sorted out the refund

Great hamper

This was the fourth hamper that I have sent to friends and relatives and they have been very pleased with them . Ordering is easy and you can track your order.

Received the goods which were very good…

Received the goods which were very good but no indication about who they were from. Emailed them, texted and phoned three times leaving a voice message but no response. So a friend has sent me a lovely gift but I haven’t a clue who it was.

This 1 star review seems a little unfair and is brand damaging since you have requested an answer to who sent it over a bank holiday weekend when my daughter is getting married. We run a small business and needed our 3 days off to arrange this family event. GDPR prevents me from giving out any further information.

Terrible customer service

I agree with the other one star reviews on here. Terrible customer service. I ordered four afternoon teas for different people. Three were successfully delivered with no issues but one was hidden in the garden with no note left by the postman. Long story short the parcel was found a week later but had been outside in the rain! The lady at daffodil blamed us for the parcel not being found sooner and refused to offer a refund or new afternoon tea to be sent out. Really disappointing customer service as the afternoon teas are great and I’ve been a loyal customer for several years. For the sake of a single afternoon tea, she’s lost out on a customer and received negative review.
I’m updating my review to inform anyone reading that the information was sent to my email address while I was aboard with no internet access and the gift had been sent to someone else. There is no option on the website to provide the recipients email address or telephone number which is what most companies do on their websites when an item is being sent as a gift. Please just accept that having an argument with a customer is seen as poor customer service and that good customer service is accepting you have done something wrong and going above and beyond to rectify the situation. A company with great customer service would simply have apologised and sent out a new item without question. If you want your business to succeed then look after your customer base.

Thank you for your comments. We provided you with the afternoon tea that was ordered on the day that it was requested. We provided you with the tracking information
and the photo of when and where the afternoon tea was left- which was out of the rain under a table on the patio - clearly visible on the photo. Unfortunately you did not use that tracking information and a week later wanted us to send it again free of charge, whilst you also kept the original one too. I explained that since we had already provided the goods we could not do that but as a gesture of goodwill if it was ordered for the same address again I would refund £10 on that next order. I am sorry you feel this is poor customer service.

I ordered 2 Hampers one for a birthday…

I ordered 2 Hampers one for a birthday treat and the another one for an anniversary, The people said who had the hampers was very pleased with them. And also said the items inside had a long date on them.
I would order again in the future.

Let down on valentines day..

I ordered a box for delivery on valentines day as a gift for my husband. As the day went on, and no delivery appeared, I telephoned the company who, after a search found my order, and said it hadn't been processed. Blamed "the system". The system managed to take my money though. No offer of an alternative day, voucher etc. Said they were too busy for a next day delivery and could only offer a refund. She sounded frazzled and over subscribed. So if you're considering this company to deliver a suprise gift I would avoid it as you can not guarantee it will be delivered.

Thank you for your review. Due to an update in the website provider’s platform, the order placed did not record the requested delivery date. This is very annoying for all concerned and I apologised for this, whilst also paying for software developers to fix the intermittent issue and providing a refund. We are a small business doing our best to provide affordable gifts, so it’s very disappointing we were let down by a supplier who is a global giant and who we can’t contact to complain about.

I have used this service several times and each time the recipient's have been delighted with the gift and the quality of the contents. On two occasions there was some external problems with delivery which were swiftly dealt with and resolved by Lynne. Top notch service all round.

Perfect treat, delivered on time

My first order off this company and I’m really pleased, ordered a Welsh cream tea for a relative, arrived on time, tracked right to the door, i am pleased to say my relative is happy with her gift and is looking forward to tucking into her treat, beautifully wrapped and presented ,I will be ordering again

Terrible service

The company offers specific delivery days so ordered for a birthday gift. Didn’t bother to deliver and didn’t bother to contact me either. Blamed it on their contractors and said it was ‘very annoying’ to get an email requesting a refund! So sorry that was annoying for you but so was the fact that you didn’t deliver…ever.
