David Luke grew out of a small company that supplied childrenswear in the North West of England. A spark for inventiveness saw our founding partners David Burgess and Adrian Luke expand into the school uniform market where they have innovated some of the most iconic products our children now count as uniform essentials. Over the years, our business has demonstrated a progressive and highly respected reputation for innovation in sustainability. We were the first to develop recycled polyester yarn from plastic bottles which we used to make blazers. Making this switch has enabled us to prevent 34 million plastic bottles from going into landfill which we can verify through our SCS Accreditation and love to tell all our friends about. Our mission is not just to succeed in the school uniform market, we aim to lead it towards a more ethical future. One where materials are responsibly sourced, communities fairly treated and people care enough to make conscious decisions about how they purchase school uniform. We’re part of the Ethical Trading Initiative to make sure we do just that. Today we are one of the biggest school uniform brands in the UK. We are a champion of independent retail.

Easy website to explore, everything is explained really well, delivery was fast. Item was as it said but unfortunately I ordered the wrong size, doh! so I'm returning it.

I’m in Northern Ireland, my son is tall , a man’s size, I just wouldn’t have got what was needed from the suppliers here. I measured and ordered, well pleased that all fitted with no returns and no reordering to do.
Happy enough with the quality too, fair price.

Don’t expect a full refund back
Ordered size trousers I usually buy but they came waaaay too big and waaaay too long. Returned them only to find that they don’t refund the full amount back! Expensive enough as they are but not to get full refund ! Then when I complained no sorry no excuses it’s just there policy! Then to have an email saying the wrong amount had been refunded so they corrected it but still not full amount! It’s annoying that a school shop in my town has closed and nearest is 20 mile round trip! Will never order direct again NEVER
