I missed the last class due to work. Tried to reschedule and I was told it was to late and they dropped me after paying them $900. Then, called the next week and said we tried to take a payment and it wouldn’t go thru. Clearly, they are some scammer. Because after going up there to get clarity on rather on not they are gonna stop me or I can reschedule the last class. I was told it will be another $600! SCAMMERS SCAMMERS SCAMMERS!!! Debtstoppers worked well for me but the service is terrible. It’s hard to get anyone on the phone and I have left messages that no one returned. One time my card was stolen and I needed to update my new card and a Mr. King called me and was very rude! I was driving hone and could not give him the information he needed and said I’d call back. I didn’t call back in a time good enough for him called and left a rude message demanding I speak with him that day. When I told him I didn’t appreciate his rudeness he tried to over talk me and would not let me talk at all then hung up on me. I had to call another location to update my information because I refused to deal with him after that. He kept calling me afterwards as well but I refused to answer. I still have the rude voicemail he left me. Unacceptable.

My wife & I had an incredible experience with Dept stoppers. Before then we were dealing with all the calls from bill collectors . We weren’t able to establish any new credit nor in a position to think of owning a home. Thank you debt stoppers for getting us on the right path.

I've used debt stoppers in the past and the customer service rep they have are unprofessional and RUDE. When you have a customer that is paying there money for service they should not be talked to like there kids and belittled. CAUSE I"M not the ONE...now I need to understand how i was in a chapter 13 for 2 and a half years and some of my old debt is still unpaid? where is my money going and why customer don't get a monthly updated of what was paid and what wasn't ? How are customers still getting collection calls and letters stated they wasn't inform of the BK? why the attorney on the case never able to call you back when needed? i need ALL my money back if this is not taking care of in a timely matter. Also office hours needs to accommodate the CUSTOMER, without us how will this company run .

I went in to the office to file Chapter 7 and the young attorney took my information and it was all put in the system wrong. Then I was told by another attorney that I made too much money so I would need to provide Chapter 13. In the middle of completing my credit counseling, I was told that they had put my information in wrong and I made too much money. Well, they added child support which should not be included, so he told me according to what I make I should be able to pay the debt. A week later I had every creditor on my credit report calling me to collect money. I believe they are stealing information and selling it to the highest bid or partnering with other offices in order to collect money on the people who have sought them for help. Please protect your information. Then no one returns your calls or emails...
I was able to file a Chapter 13 with an attorney without any problems and I have an affordable payment... I would not recommend Debtstopper because I believe they prey on people who file Chapter 13

My husband and I went to Debtstopper to get out of debt. We were pleased with the attorney and paralegal at first. We filed a Chapter 13 and our payment plan kept changing. They didn't update our payment plan and they dismissed our case after a year. They apologized and had us come back in a re-file for free. We thought the problem was rectified but in January 2018 our payment plan changed again but of course they didn't send any info to our workplace to have it changed. We called, emailed and told them on the phone that it was not changed. After 4 months, my husband lost his job and they stated that they will ask for an adjustment of the payment, which never happened. Instead, they told us we were delinquent in our payments and dismissed our case!!! I told Kyle Mcgee that this was the second time this has happened to us and she told us that it was because we didn't pay on our delinquent balance. Mind you, they garnish our wages and take the amount out. they have to let our payroll department know when there's a change, but this never happened. I don't know if they are short staff, too lazy to update or submit paperwork but it has caused me more stress!!! When I got the breakdown of what they have paid, it was just their 4000 fee. What a rip off, and I am so disappointed!!! My husband wanted to go to King and King and I should have listened to him. Do not go to them!!
