I would strongly not visiting this office

I would strongly recommend reviewing your billing statements very carefully if you choose to visit this office.

I am an in-network patient with United Healthcare and had multiple services performed in early 2026. I have been dealing with ongoing billing issues with this office since January 21, 2026, and as of today, this matter is still not resolved. While the clinical care itself was acceptable, the billing practices and lack of communication have been extremely concerning.

Despite receiving insurance payments, my account does not reflect any contractual (EOB) adjustments that are required for in-network providers. Charges appear to be based on full billed amounts rather than the allowed amounts under my insurance plan.

Additionally, several claims were submitted using incorrect procedure codes, which resulted in denials. These issues were not corrected or resubmitted by the office.

I prepaid for services and have paid over $5,000 out of pocket. I have also confirmed the office received and cashed insurance payments, yet they continue to state I have a balance. Based on the payments made and proper application of insurance adjustments, my account should reflect an overpayment. Instead, they have not reconciled the account and have not issued a refund.

At this point, it appears they are attempting to collect payment from both me and my insurance for the same services, which raises serious concerns about double billing.

I was also told that billing my insurance was being done as a “courtesy” and that I would need to handle denials myself, which does not align with expectations for an in-network provider.

I have made multiple attempts via email and phone to resolve this directly, including requesting a call with the doctor. Dr. Jennifer Muir has refused to communicate with me despite repeated requests, making it extremely difficult to resolve these issues.

I encourage anyone considering this office to ensure full transparency regarding billing, insurance processing, and treatment estimates before proceeding with services.

WORST DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

Please make sure u do a thorough background check before acquiring Dr. Eric Schuetz service, which I should have done! This would not be the first time of him doing bad implants and unfortunately I fell victim his work. It started with him deciding to go against my treatment plan by filing ALL of my upper teeth on my first visit when my treatment plan was devised into 2 stages of having 2 implants done first, then later followed by bridges on both sides completing my upper mouth. Then him placing 2 implants in front, one which was improperly placed where you could feel the implant inside my right nose causing severe pain around my upper lip and sinus area and massive headaches. He was very frustrated with me after questioning his work and several complaints to him and management. That implant improperly placed would soon after get infected and failed. He then wanted to remove and replaced the implant while it was infected, which I refused! While having the right implant removed, I could feel him scraping deep in my gums after being shot over 20x’s. The dental assistant had to give me pain medication during my procedure and I would later leave the office with swollen face and bruised gums that lasted for 2 weeks. With now having dense gums since he started working on my mouth, he then rushed the healing process for my gums to completely heal. When he said it was time for the healing caps right before the crowns, he cut my gums so much that it left my gums noticeably exposing the healing caps. An hour after leaving that same visit my full top bridge would completely come off because he had not secure it with dental cement. When I called to come have it fixed, I was advised that I had to wait until Monday. I was livid and demanded to have it fix immediately! I never returned to his services and after having all of my complaints ignored by management through a certified letter that was sent on 7/19/21! I finally received a call by regional manager Karen Herrara on 9/29/21 ONLY because Brush Dental requested all of my dental records. After sending her every all documentation to support my complaints/claims, it was apparent I was owed me a refund of $5796 for paid crowns that they still have yet to give back to me. Karen spent days of telling me to come pick up check to only make up some kind of excuse every time I got ready to do so, KNOWINGLY she NEVER had any intentions of honoring my refund. Even writing me a partial check for $3600 from a closed account. Then on another day telling me to come pick up a new check for the full balance after I threaten legal assistance. She then promised to get it all resolved and to come pick up new a new check on Tuesday 10/19/21 and to give her my ETA after letting her know on that day that I was on my way. Literally, MINUTES after giving her my ETA and being in route she called stating because Dr. Eric was complaining my refund amount would be deducted from his pay and because I refuse to let another Dr. at this establishment to finish the botched job Dr. Eric started, she was advised by her lawyer that I was not entitled to my refund. Guess their lawyer is just as unethical considering he did not advised her that issuing a check from a closed account is illegal and grounds for criminal prosecution, which I'm in the process of pursuing with the Hollywood Police Department and State Attorney. As of 10/21/21 I was still having problem with Karen sending ALL of my dental records over to Brush Dental after advising me that she personally sent them over herself on 9/29/21. She went to great length NOT to send records of my implants. There is not enough space for me to describe the horrific experience I have had as a patient of Dr. Eric and Affordable Dentistry of South Florida. There is no accountability whatsoever and I never experience an establishment with such unethical business practices and lacking professional integrity. It's a disgrace to this profession and unethical how greed is priority over anything else. The owner should be ashamed of their business practices by her staff!

Compliments to Dr

Compliments to Dr. Eric Schuetz of Affordable Dentistry of South Florida!

After two previous dentists in a row who were negligent and uncaring, Dr Eric takes care.

He was not only caring, but reassuring, thorough and professional. He explained everything that he was doing as the visit progressed, and he and his assistant Shaira made me feel comfortable and at easy during what I feared would be yet another bad dental experience.

Dr.E is a participant in my Humana dental insurance, and did not let the low rates for service effect her demeanour and character. I can’t compliment enough the outstanding experience I had in his office at 4000 Sheridan street, Hollywood.

I’m confident that my recommended follow up care is necessary and will be done with the same professionalism that I expected on my intake exam.

Thank you Dr.Eric for making me confident once again with my dental care and hopeful about future visits with you at Sheridan office. Five starts!
