This company is the worst of the worst. I hired them in 2020 to build a website for me and paid for lifetime web hosting. Fast forward to 2023 I can not access the backend of my website because they stated it is not DMCA Compliant and wanted to charge me $1700 and basically held my website hostage, feels like extortion. I asked for proof of this and they sent me a manufactured screenshot of the Google Search Console but when I logged in myself there were no security issues. Beware, very unethical company.

I started with the company named "WebCoders", in 2020. We agreed on $400 that I paid in full to build my website. But nothing was done. At the end of 2020, after multiple stressful communications with them, they told me that the staff I was dealing with is no longer with them, and the company's name has been changed to "Design Proficient". In order for them "to finish" my website, I will have "to pay extra $250". Which I did not knowing that I'm dealing with criminals. Then it was excuse after excuses until Nov 2021 they sent me an email saying that my website is live. In less than a month, at the end of Dec 2021, for unknown reason(s) to me, my website was suspended. Once again, a stupid guy named "James" asked me to pay $250 to recover my website. At this moment, I'm doing everything I can to have these criminals locked up for life.

They stole $1,900 from me. Sold me a custom website on a shared server, plus a trademark and all the graphics for my business cards and stationary. I never got the stationary or business cards. They never built anything custom at all but slammed together a copied site they reuse again and again for everyone. They refused to refund my money and then demanded an increased monthly amount because suddenly they did not have shared servers anymore and wanted to manage my SEO, which I don't want or need. I approached them again about building any website at all and they never contacted me back and refuse to take my calls. Still no refund. I don't think they are an American company (or British) because once my site builder called me without his British accent and another time called me from a number from China.

BEWARE of DESIGN PROFICIENT!!!!!! They are a Scam....I paid $10k for a website & Hosting. It was pulled down, when I called them, I was told I was no longer dealing with Design Proficient but WebDistrict and if I wanted my website back I would need to pay!!!!! The Manager (supposedly) Joe, told me that Webdistrict purchased Design Proficient at auction because DP was scamming Consumers. The # I called at Design Proficient went right to WebDistrict!!!(or that is how the Agent answered and represented) eventhough DP website is still up. Now WebDistrict claims they did not purchase DP. I am reporting Design Proficient to the Attorney General's Office and get to the bottom of this but they are a SCAM - Does WebDistrict Really own Design Proficient? Is Design Proficient defaming another company? Whatever the case - BEWARE

I paid $500 for this company to build me a new website last September 2020. As of July 11th I've been contacted by another individual that design proficient is
out of business due to some bankruptcy and I still don't have a website! They first steered me away from my desire and need for a WordPress site and instead give me the impression they were building a custom PHP website (which would render my website useless since I require WordPress plugins that power some of my most important content). It looks like the program managers direct the client very sternly and despite what you ask and require, never was transmogrified into the desired result. No website and just a new character stringing me along. I'll just build my own website but don't forget everyone this company stole $500 from me and there is no remorse.

I lost thousands of dollars to these Crooks.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I was looking at creative ways to make income and I thought about starting up a business online. In the early stages, it all felt pretty normal for the most part, as this was my first experience working with a design team on a website. Paid for the package, and after that, they kept on asking for more money for "x" reason. None of it made sense. Call after call, with people that clearly sounded like they're at a call center in India or some other country, all of them with accents and have fake cookie-cutter names on their email addresses. After multiple emails back and forth, I started to quickly realize this was a scam. Well, it's been about a year since we first started working together, and have not corresponded with any of them since Fall 2020. I've come to terms that I've lost money to these guys but the fight isn't over. I'm looking forward to suing these guys for damages and money lost.

They stole our money! Had a website being created since 2019! They claimed people died from COVID and blah blah blah. Went ghost for about a month. Now they don't want to refund. Wasted time, money, and tears. Daniel Smith, Alex, Brad, Ethan, and Shawn...all Indian scammers with American sounding names. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

Bought a domain for these jokers for a certain price which they said included the design of the website. They then said I needed to pay more for the design once I paid for the domain and the got me looped into their system. Then comes the additional price of hosting... You can see where this is going. After it's all said and done, I gave them alot of money, and built my own website. 1 year later they hack my website and say I need to pay more to recover and secure the domain. I got an IT guy that fixed it for me. They found out and called the next day saying I needed to pay them money or they were taking my website offline.

Do not fall for these jokers!!!! Slimy little tards that need to rot!!

Horrible company to hire. They offer one thing then have tons of hidden fees. Has held our domain hostage. We have no control nor is the domain in our name even after paying over $25,000. DO NOT HIRE!!!!

Design proficient is the worst company that I have been dealing with for 2 long years now, and they did not deliver my project yet, and no one is answering my calls and replying to my emails.

I almost worked with 10 managers, and every time they changed the team and started over the project from scratch. I live in NJ. I was working in PST timing because of them. The company is a big cheat. Salespeople are well trained to offer discount first and ask you to pay more by the actual price.

The Total Cost of Designing and Development price was $4999.99, and as I opted to go with a one-time payment, they offered $2497.00.After signing the contract the second day, they asked me to pay more amount of $2000.When I asked them to cancel the deal and provide my 100% refund as they promised, they convinced me to work on the same offered price.
Before to covid -19 situation, it was already 1 year that they did not deliver the project. Now taking advantage of the covid -19 situation, it took I more year and no response from anyone.

During these 2 years, I worked with Reza martin, Bob Taylor, Ethan, Matt Damion, Mia Gayle, Daniel Smith, Dennis, Jim, Jay Anderson, and Danny.

Ethan and Danny were the people who were pressured to pay extra. All employees are trained to make sales. All employees of this organization are prepared to cheat, leaving their ethics.

Be careful with the employees of this organization. The organization hires worthless designers and developers. I provided an existing website to make their work more comfortable; even they could not do this. Either they were giving me the same design or worst development.

They wasted my time, and company ripped me.

I wish I could have checked BBQ complaints.

Buyer beware! We have been dealing with this company since 2019 and still do not have a working website. we have paid thousands of dollars, some without our permission (do not give them your credit card information) they will keep tapping it without notice. We have been trying to contact them for three weeks now using emails and phone calls without success. Our site is still not completed after a full year and now they are no ware to be found. Incredibly sad situation and thousands of dollars gone down the drain. Calling the proper authorities to log a complaint. Credit card company also sending in their investigation team and flagging them so they can no longer accept credit cards.

Hired them a month back for the website, still struggling to get response from them!

During our initial communication, they were responsive and quick but once I have paid the money I haven't heard back from them.

Scam!
I have worked or try to work with them in 2019 and I paid extra to have my logo in 24hrs. Of course that wasn't delivered. It took 2 full weeks for me to have my logo, it was not what I had requested at all. They were trying to push other products on me and in order to have the logo that I paid for ready in time.
After I left a bad review on FB they called me yelling at me and harassing me for leaving a bad review.
A year later they still call me, even though I have blocked their numbers, they try to be all nice on the phone and when I tell them "No, I won't ever work with you again or refer you to no one", they yell at me saying that they don't need my business.
If you want real reviews, go look on FB. The 5star reviews you see anywhere else are all fake.
This company doesn't deserve not even a 1 star.

This company is fraudulent. Paid in full, and became another victim. Their technique is to actually begin to work with you and gain your trust. Then when you ask for what you paid for - your website, they disappear. Don't believe anything they say, don't give them any money, probably a good idea to call the police as soon as possible to get anything back that you can. STAY AWAY

I started out very poorly with my original contact David Jones. He never returned calls. I then was told he resigned and I was assigned Dennis Morgan who actually was great and moved my project along.

During this time I was called by a employee named Jason who said I need to add the following:

Norton- to my site- $3,000
PCI Compliance to my site- $1,000
Secure backend coding- $1,000

Within the 60 day time frame when I knew I could chargeback the credit card- I authorized my bank to charge back the PCI compliance charge as well as the Norton. Unfortunately, Dennis talked me out of it and I cancelled the chargeback as the website was progressing nicely.

Well my website has none of these upgrades and now I have been assigned Rafael James who will not return my calls or emails.

Last week we had a call scheduled for a meeting to discuss why my PCI scans are failing and he was a no show-

Please don't make the same mistake that I did. They promised to finish designing my website in 3 weeks. We went back and forth because they made so many critical mistakes and errors. The project is at the mark of almost 4 months but they decided to take off and never refund me the money. BE CAREFUL and DONT BELIEVE the good reviews.
