Our week long honeymoon vacation in Belize was beyond expectations! The folks at Detour helped plan our itinerary with great recommendations and thorough research to meet both our interests and budget. Spending our time first in the jungle, experiencing Mayan sites, culture, and caves, and then moving onto an island for snorkeling and relaxation was definitely the right order as suggested. We would highly recommend staying at the Black Rock Lodge in the Cayo District and the Pelican Beach Resort on South Water Caye - the food, service, and views were unbelievable. Also, the tour guides and staff were very friendly and very open to sharing their life stories with us which was great - very personable and genuine. Lastly, before and during our stay we did have some questions regarding our itinerary and mosquito threats, and Detour was very responsive to answer them immediately or find the answers. I suppose our one complaint was that we weren't there for a couple more days to experience more activities but that's nobody's fault but our own...we'll just have to plan to go back some day with the stellar help of Detour Destinations!

A few years ago we booked our first adventure tour to the Galapagos Islands; then Machu Picchu. Unbelievable. Extremely well organized. Since then we have booked Easter Island, Amazon, Uganda, Costa Rica, etc. to name a few. Our last several trips have been totally customized to meet our needs, desires, budget. Awesome group of people to work with. Because we have been working with them so long, I feel like they really have a good idea of the kind of vacations we desire. They have never disappointed us!

Our trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos went off without a hitch! The guides spoke excellent English and were very informative and fun to be with. They always met us on time and never left us wondering what we should do next in a country where we do not speak the language. Our cruise on the Eclipse was delightful and we made many friends among the passengers. We highly recommend Detour Destinations and hope to use them again on our next adventure tourism experience.

We spent 23 days in Peru from Lima to Tambopata. We hiked and camped on the Salkantay and Lares Valley, visited Machu Picchu (of course) and enjoyed days on Lake Titicaca, in Puno, Cusco, Arequipa, Colca Canyon and the Tambopata National Reserve. This was our DREAM vacation. Every detail, connection, domestic flight, guide (and expert climbers) were perfect, professional and friendly (we stay in contact).
