If I could give a zero I would. As a victim of harrassment all one sided and evidenced to then be told it’s not harrassment is just mind boggling. No wonder no,one respects or likes the Police anymore they are only interested in generating revenue they are an embarrassment to society and nothing but a government extension now I know many people who have the same opinion I wonder why. Live up to their reputation.

D&C police traffic division seem to love any excuse to close a road for as long as possible with no regard to the plight of vehicle passengers stuck in resulting delays. People miss vital appointments and treatment. If the RTC is a fatal, fair enough, but even minor collisions the first response seems to be "close the road". If you're close enough to the front you see them laughing and joking with their hands tucked into protective vests with little happening to clear the scene. Travelling the whole UK, D&C are by far the worst at RTC management.

Shocking & despicable behaviour from this organisation.
Last year I was violently assaulted, broad daylight in Wadebridge centre after I tried to stop 2 drunk & belligerent men from shouting obscenities & sexual abuse at passing women, some with their children.

Police took 4 hours to respond from 1st 999 call made about them shouting abuse & throwing golf balls at cars & shop windows. I was assaulted one hour before police turned up & arrested the 2 men.

They have since dropped the charges (according to housing association) against the 2 men who assaulted me & when I enquired in January 2024 as to why D & C police have dropped the charges even though I provided 3 witnesses who they DID NOT interview, there was no reply.

I have since January 2024 made 4 enquiries to D & C police to ask if they have indeed dropped the charges & why & I have made 3 complaints to the IOPC & STILL no reply at all. IOPC are useless & toothless.

So if all this is not bad enough, last few weeks we've got a new neighbour in the building who is screaming threats at female carers who work in the building, threatened to kill me, smash my face in & smash my car up & shouting racial slurs about white people out in the street for all to hear.

All of this has been recorded on CCTV & police called 3 or 4 times & viewed CCTV. Each time, the police mollycoddle him because he pulls the race card. He has not been arrested even though it is an offense to threaten to kill someone or violently threaten them in the street.

I rang D & C police on 9/11/24 to say I want to press charges against this individual & was told that I can't because it's an "open case" & "mediation" is being brought in.

If I was to do the same to ethnic minorities, you can guarantee that I would be arrested & facing up to 5 years in prison.

I needed a copy of my drivers licence and council tax verified to apply for a job.

Refused to sign without payment of a fee. I explained I needed for job interview. Refused to budge.

Disgraceful. Council tax pays for police

Corruption . I had an issue where a local mentally ill woman was causing criminal damage at my property , stealing garden knomes, breaking windows, kicking and banging doors and shouting threats to kill the local children. I contacted the police 999 who dispatched officers from plymouth who then forwarded it on to Bodmin neighbourhood police team in Cornwall who did absolutley nothing about any of it, dispite the threats the woman was shouting to kill neighbourhood children and the obvious criminal damage being
caused , and dispite it being recorded and shown to Bodmin police. This is when it started, I was in return stalked and sexually harrassed by an officer of bodmin neighbourhood police team (which is part of Deveon and Cornwall police) for just over 2 years! Very frigtening , very inappropriate behaviour
towards me and upon submitting a complaint the officer in question turned
up at my house and threatened me & my
family and even my dog unless i was to take back the complaint. I was a female
living alone in an isolated area , a former
model by occupation and i felt that i was
targeted by him and other
officers within that team. I was subjected to abuse and threats for 2 years,
harrassed as were my friends and family
by this officer. I was subjected to illigal
searches and my friends & family were
questioned by the officers as to if i was
dating anyone?, how long etc...and who my boyfriend was ,who in return was also
Unofficially questioned with how long had he been dating me etc...and he was harrassed as
was his family to how long we had been
dating and it was hurrendous and very bizarre. my boyfriend being a military
man and never having any prior dealings with the police (nor did i or my family)
instantly knew there was something
corrupt & strange at the core of this very unprofessional behaviour and my friends
& family grew increasingly concerned for
our saftey especially mine in regards to these bodmin police officers. I protected myself by setting up cameras and
recording everything i could,
conversations , cctv, as did my friends
and family . When they learnt i had
recorded the inccidents my house was
subsequently subjected to an illigal
search , there was no search warrent or valid reason aquired and no police record of the search dispite it being recorded by a family member. My life was made Hell
and i feel lucky to of escaped whatever
this officer/officers were attempting to do
with me . However not long after this a family member went missing, the police did nothing , there was incorrect infomation being filtered to devon and cornwall police by bodmin police (Devon and cornwall police appologised and took disipliniary action against bodmin neighbourhood team we were informed) and she was subsequently discovered dead in a hospitial under vauge and uncertain circumstances and causes , I
am not the only one to expierence this
type of thing with this police team or
officer, the officer concerened was
previously on the cover of the daily mail
for misconduct in another southwest of
England constabulary not long before
these occurances. Upon research there are other Victims who have written statements publicly avilable and signed
avadavits regarding simular occurances
and activities , mainly women. If you are
a woman on your own i suggest to please never ever be alone with an
officer under ANY circumstances. Never
let them in your home and never be alone with male officers in particular even at a police station . Always make certain there is other people with you or near by , do not allow an officer or officers to corner you or try to take you out if sight! Always record everything and watch out for each other, friends, family members, daughters/children. Not all Devon and
Cornwall police officers are like this ,
there are good people & officers i believe
within the police dispite my expierence but there is something vile going on also i believe and i believe i was a target for whatever it may of been.

I feel one star is too many.Have been the target of anti social behaviour and intimidation and sexual assault for 4 years from two disgusting female neighbours. I have reported this to Plymouth Community Homes and Plymouth police who have done nothing. I have never had interaction with these two awful female neighbors and yet I get arrested for reporting the abuse and locked in a cell all night at Charles cross Plymouth and forcibly have my dna and fingerprints taken. When released, I got more abuse from the neighbors when I got home. I have been threatened by the police at worst, will happen to me if I report the abuse from the two female neighbors again, who are friends with the police women, namely, pc Sarah millet, and Natasha Whigfield. The noise from the neighbors and intimidation is absolutely terrible. I, and my friends and family are in shock at how badly the police and Plymouth have acted, or rather haven’t acted on the level of injustice is off the scale towards me. There is prejudice and biassed against me. These two bullies seem to get away with everything because they are female and lie and act innocent to the police. They are very dangerous females and continue to bully other people. the police have been reported to anti corruption societies,police misconduct,professional standards and so has the useless Lorraine Oliver of Plymouth community homes, Who has done nothing as a so called housing officer. The physical and emotional impact it had on me, and my family still continues not to mention the financial impact and possible impending homelessness. The two female neighbors continue to bully and laugh at what they are getting away with fueling them to bully even more people doing the police are on their side. The police are even worse police to allow it with absolutely no evidence they have taken the two female neighbor sides, Because they flirt and lie and the police are biased towards protecting the criminals. A story I have a hard time and time again of other victims, including myself.

Torquay, teignmouth, Newton abbot , totnes police are all Corrupt to the core , they aid and abet social workers in child trafficking from devon, they use 101 staff as a sheik to prevent people making reports
Sargent dogde is hostile bully who threatens you with violence , they bring false charges and are political operatives for the Liberal Democrats

People be warned they’ll take your kids and sell them abroad if you’ve not got your wits about you , police in Devon are complicit in child trafficking along with social services

This started 2019 and I’m still trying to protect my family and now myself from these viscous criminals police social workers and councillors who think the police etc are there to take peoples kids then drive you from ur home

Had a week in Cornwall, whilst out and about we were verbally assaulted and our car damaged when the individual decided to kick it because we wouldn't get out of the car. We drove away from the situation and called 999 and was told because the individual was no longer a threat we should call 101.
Once answered told an officer would call later with a crime number which she did but was also told by her it was our word against his, even though we had his number plate and picture of the individual and a dent in our car.
Disgusting treatment by police and now see why people take the law into their own hands. Its no wonder this type of crime is on the increase when the police cant be bothered even to go and warn the individual.

Racist against Caucasians. I saw, in a local corner shop, a Devon and Cornwall Police poster inviting job applications from 'ethnically diverse' individuals.

What about job applications from ALL individuals?! That was a mere observation I thought deserves a mention, even though I have no intention of applying.

Non emergency line waiting without an answer for 2.5 hours, screen print available at request- truly shocking service; special measures needed- horrendous 🙃

Don't even want to give one star! I have fought to get justice for my daughter who was killed in 2021, I've tried to show them evidence, have made umpteen complaints to the IOPC..who actually said after a review, to take my evidence to the police, I did and got told her inquest has already happened, they ain't going to reopen it!! Finally went to a PI who told me, after viewing all my evidence, that it's the worst investigation into a traffic accident that led to a death he's ever seen!!

Waste of time when reporting welfare concerns, told to contact social services when social services told me to inform police. Some rude contact centre advisors too. Appalling service all round

Report crimes and they do nothing. I was attracted with a knife and threaten to be killed and the police said I was lieing when I had evidence . Tryed reporting drug dealers and they said tell the Council, they are a total disgrace to what Is suppose to be the law and now I understand why nobody respects them. I'm ashamed to call myself English as this country is a joke with no values.

My wife had cash stolen from her handbag at a local dental practice I reported to the police (complete waste of time ) .The only investigation done by the officer was to make two phone calls to the practice ,he could not tell from this the layout of the building or anything else . He made the incorrect assumption that my wife had mislaid the money , we both knew how much cash she had , I saw her count it out before going to the appointment . He said the staff are well paid it would not be worth their while to steal (how does he know what people finances are ) so well off people don't commit crime ! I said to him about fingerprinting my wife handbag as only her prints would be on it his reply was that it would cost thousands of pounds to do that ,really !
This police force is not interested in investigating anything ( all my friends said it's a waste of time reporting anything ,how right they are ) .From the suspended Chief Constable down through the ranks these people are getting paid for an abysmal performance . The bumbling Inspector Clouseau would be so proud .

About half an hour ago I phoned Devon and Cornwall Police to report an aggressive, untethered and unsupervised pitbull-type dog in a front garden with only a 3 foot fence on Beacons Park Road opposite the Premier. I told the jobsworth I spoke to that my first thought when I looked to my left and saw what kind of dog was barking and running at me was that I was a dead man if it chose to bound over the fence. I further added was that those testosterone fuelled monsters are not trainable so just because it did not jump the fence on this occasion, did not mean it wouldn't do so next time, especially if the target was a 'softer' one than a muscular adult male. Nevertheless, to my astonishment - WITHOUT TAKING ANY DETAILS - she cut me off, saying that, as no one was actually physically attacked, it was nothing to do with the police so I would need to contact the local dog warden instead. I informed her that I would get onto Plymouth Council tomorrow but reminded her that if said dog did happen to cause harm to a passerby in the interim, things would get very interesting when I reported that I had previously alerted the police to the situation. Immediately after hanging up in disgust, I went onto the Plymouth City Council website for a heads up as to where to ring tomorrow. To add insult to injury, what do I find there under the section 'WHAT POLICE DEAL WITH', at the very top of the list? DOGS ACTING IN A DANGEROUS OR AGGRESSIVE MANNER (GIVING PEOPLE REASONABLE FEAR OF ATTACK).
What can I say? I would just shake my head and laugh at yet another example of 'Broken Britain' being administered by people who have lost the will for public service (if they even had it in the first place!), except for the memory of those small children who regularly get killed by these untrainable, irremediably predatory creatures which the government still allows morons with young kids to keep as 'pets' instead of restricting them to just having a DOG.

Treating the public like mushrooms (kept in the dark and fed on s**t) is starting to look like and an aggressive policy in the business model of public services in the South West:- unable to find ANY contact information of any description for 'Dog Warden' on the Plymouth City Council website or the internet in general I was forced to resort to the main switchboard number at 9 this morning. After 10 minutes of going through automated menus which all ended up referring back to the website before cutting off my call I almost randomly chose an option just to get to speak to a person and ask them for an email address or phone number for this increasingly mythical 'Dog Warden'. Turns out the option I'd gone for - Pest Control - is also the Dog Warden office. Attrition mode was, however, soon resumed as, despite listening sympathetically, the woman actually tried to fob me off back to the police! Eventually, (possibly after I mentioned the existence of this review!) she grudgingly and gracelessly conceded that she would take responsibility for alerting the so called "dog legislation" person in the police by email. It should not be this hard to pass information of a clear and present danger to public safety to the authorities.

UPDATE #2, 10.50, 14 JUNE
At lunchtime on Monday, I had second thoughts on further action against the call handler and submitted a detailed complaint on Devon Cornwall Police's website. At this point - 46 hours later - I have still had no contact or acknowledgement beyond the automatically generated complaint reference number. The obvious mediocrity of that level of customer service would be no issue except for two pieces of information I have since acquired which indicated that - purely on the facts - the information I gave in that phone call, unbeknownst to me, raised not just one by TWO possible breaches of the criminal law in relation to the Dangerous Dogs act of 1991. The first relates to the animal itself: I explicitly described it as a "pitbull-type". Youtube research yesterday on how they go for you and defences confirmed this: all the animals in the horrifying videos had the exact same shape of head, build, and demeanour. There was even one with the identical soft gun-metal grey colour with a white stripe from neck down to chest. This was seemed like confirmation of the suspicion I have had for years that the DDA 1991 had been quietly repealed. Further research this morning, however, disclosed that pitbull-types remain banned in the UK without a certificate of exemption. This brings me to the second breach: one of the four conditions of such exemption is 'KEPT IN A SECURE PLACE SO IT CANNOT ESCAPE'. The world record leap for a pitbull is 13ft(!). HOW IS A 3FT FENCE SECURITY. WHY WAS IT NOT APPROPRIATE FOR POLICE TO (A) GO AND CONFIRM EXEMPTION AND (B) ADDRESS THE SECURE PLACE BREACH IF NOTHING ELSE?

Me and my gf had a one night stay at Newquay police station and I have to say it was brilliant they were very polite and because of my chlaisraphobia they left the hatch down so I could see out and they gave me a football I. My state of the art criminal suite the adhere to all my needs and we’re top notch I would highly recommend a visit they let me spend 3hours on the phone to my mum and it was great the only downsides were I wasn’t allowed to leave when I wanted and the food isn’t great also they are really fit girls working in there would totally recommend getting arrested in Newquay beats Charles cross anyday

There is a known problem of speeding drivers on Dartmoor, responsible for the deaths of ponies and cattle. Yesterday a nutcase driver was speeding all over the moor sounding his horn. You would think Devon and Cornwall police would want to know this quickly and act on it? Oh no.
Call Dartmoor Authority - no answer at all.
Call 101 - all callers are forced to listen to neverending drivel, spoken ever so s l o w l y, 4 options here, 6 options there. Reporting "hate crimes" is a quicker option than reporting real and current danger to life. Then, after valuable wasted time listening to this rubbish, you eventually get through to a human being. She had to put me through to yet another person. By this time the offending driver is miles away. After even more valuable time was wasted as this agent wouldn't just pass on the description of my location, all she said was she would "circulate the details to officers". What does that mean? Officers on the moor? Officers sitting behind a desk? Circulate as in a report at the end of the day when it's all too late? Are officers going to actually get it now and keep a look out NOW? I asked her this twice but she just kept repeating the same meaningless sentence. I never got a clear answer from her.

When I told her how awful the 101 system was and how long it took me to get through to her, there was no sense of "oh no, that's not right, let me escalate your complaint so we can improve this", she just said "that's the way the system is set up". For crying out loud...

Is Devon and Cornwall Police's strategy to make it as hard as possible for people to report crime, so their crime numbers are lower, is that it?

I reported a theft by Hermes couriers to IRC Devon and Cornwall Police. The initial officer conducting triage on online reports was a human being: empathic and with her heart in the right place concerning the pursuit of justice. Once the complaint reached the IRC team it was stopped. D and C police decided to settle for Hermes' 'it's lost' explanation, even though the item (value the best part of £1000) was in the possession of the Hermes driver and listed as 'not delivered, damaged' and thus viable lines of enquiry were possible.

If you check Hermes reviews it becomes obvious that there is widespread theft of property entrusted to that courier across the UK and Europe. Property doesn't fall down a big hole somewhere. It is stolen by Hermes staff. Sadly, Devon and Cornwall Police (and presumably the Chief Constable of that force) are content to turn a blind eye to widespread theft and, by extension, massive, annual insurance fraud.

When the Police become administrators more interested in statistics and clearing their desks than the pursuit of justice then we are well on our way to a society founded on profit and self-interest, not one founded on care for fellow citizens.
