Appalling service
Such a bad service. I sent documents from NZ and I filled the shipment details online. I provided a branch address for the receiver address as I want the shipment to be collected from the branch. They put the item on hold. I called them asking why. They advised me that they need the receiver's physical address for security purposes. I provided that and they reassured me that the information has been forwarded to the team and I should not expect delays. The following day, the shipment was still on hold. I called again asking why. They advised me they need the receiver photo ID. I sent that to them and they informed me that it's been forwarded to the team. The shipment today is still on hold. I called again asking again why. This time, they don't know why it's on hold and I should wait the whole weekend to get a reply at the beginning of next week. I paid almost 300NZD only to get this appalling service!
This reflects the work culture/environment in the company - no one cares!
Appalling service - ruined the shipment items
Have to give a 1 star. I mean they did manage to deliver the suitcase to the right place in the time frame quoted.
Shame that the suitcase was saturated. As a consequence the contents were soaked in stagnant bog smelling water.
All books were ruined, clothing soaking and foul smelling and some ruined too.
Suitcase received some heavy damage enough to shatter the external wheel and the section of the wheel inside the suitcase too.
Delivered like this by the UK driver ...... and just left for us to discover.
First time worst experience
First time i have had the worst experience with DHL. We tracked the parcel and it was stopped by MPI 20th Sept 2022. But we didn't get a reply from DHL till 27th Sept 2022.
So i rang up on the 27th and gave my email address. - No correspondence come the 29th. I rang again at 0830 on the 29th and was told the operator i spoke with prior on the 27th never put my email address on the requested note they had.
The fact there's a letter showing Medsafe allowing the parcel through should indicate that we need the parcel but DHL just take their time to communicate.
Let's see what happens next...

lack of custom and MPI clearance experiences, over 15 days for a parcel from FIJI, I have to deal with custom and MPI by myself, then why you got a clearance service? should I become A broker, and tell you how to work?
and also, even if you wrote dozens of emails to ask for processing, the operator only say the same stuff every time, and did not respond fast, sometimes you sent 5 emails, got NONE reply. and even MPI emailed said, oh your parcel can be released now, but DHL still says, we will arrange another resubmit entry, you have to queue and wait. how does this non-logical service happen in this kind of BIG company?
FIJI only allowed export by the 31st of October this year, for now, DHL might take a month to get things delivered. OH MYYYYYY GOD.

Such a bad service when they said they do something and not doing it. I had to wait for 3 days and 6 calls to their support then found out my Customs clearance docs was still not processed and each time I called, they said they got it and it was processing. Such a bad experience.

I bought a kangen water machine worth a lot of money , and it was requesting signature to be delivered also I had left a note for them to put it inside as we have a glass entrance in front of the house and normally we get mails always delivered there as I usually leave a note asking for it
Anyway DHL left my water machine sitting in the rain and didn’t even get my signature to leave it as they should .
After that I have ordered two more expensive things that asks for signature and again they left it outside half pack hanging in my letter box and no signature at all .
It has been happening in Queenstown NZ.

DHL express courier asked me to confirm pick up. I did confirm pick-up and date and time. They confirmed me on email. Nobody picked up the courier. Was waiting for pick-up long day. Customer service said , we don't know about pick-up as the DHL company given a sub contract to another party.

D.h.l nz is horrible, they give you an estimated arrival date deliver it a week early and then give you some excuse as to why it can't be delivered and then you wait a week and a half over original delivery date before you see your parcel, good luck ringing them because there customer service is sub par and half the time they don't even know where your parcel even is
DHL never again
My package has been in the country for two weeks and recieved no update from DHL..so I rang them. The man on the other end proceeded to tell me it was released from customs and they gave it to NZ post to deliver and if it didn’t come for me to contact the company I brought the package off to open a dispute.
Long story short, not long after this conversation I received an email saying that dhl was going to deliver my package next week and to give them authority to leave. The man on the other end blatantly LIED to me on the phone about it being given to NZ post. I will NEVER use DHL as long as I’m given the choice, -5/10
Dishonnest company
Hi, I had a package coming from China . They authorized from China to send the package with out the authorizations of the quotation to me first..
They charged me very high ammount with emergency surcharge cost of petrol.
If I can help someone there is more honest company you can rely on.
They will charge you big ammount with out your conscent make sure the ammount you have been charged before use their services.
Very dishonnest company.
I agreed with many reviews on them on this platform.
The package damage
The driver was delivered to the wrong address. The picture taken by the courier is not my property, not was it given as an alternative. Furthermore the courier didn't ring/knock to let somebody know it was there. Yesterday I got my courier and it’s whole damage now .I did complain about it but they are not answering .I will not recommend to anyone use this DHL.
DHL lacking accountability
I was sent a package from China. I was notified that the package was on the way, so I arranged for it to be delivered to a different address (my office).
The next thing I hear about the delivery is the shipper telling me that I have to urgently contact DHL because they have been unable to deliver the package and the package will be sent back to China.
I contact DHL and they tell me that they have unsuccessfully attempted to deliver the package on two separate occasions and left me a voice message. I explain that I never received a "missed delivery" card nor a voice mail. The person in customer service informs me that they don't leave missed delivery cards. He informs me that the goods have now been returned to the shipper and I will have to pay for it to be redelivered from China.
I call DHL again and ask if a driver misses a delivery do they leave a "missed delivery" card. The person on the other end of the line confirms that a driver should leave a card.
I then email DHL explaining what has happened and request that they should be responsible for delivering the goods back to me. DHL New Zealand says it is not their issue and that I should contact DHL in China. I try to explain that it is their issue because how can I know if there has been a missed delivery, if no one from DHL informs me. Unfortunately, DHL New Zealand continue to insist that it is not their problem.
I am now faced with the choice of having DHL in China destroy the goods or paying them to re-ship them. Given trying to have DHL take responsibility for failing to follow their own processes will take time and the goods will be destroyed in the interim, I have no choice but to pay.
Thank you DHL for your absolute lack of accountability!

Fast delivery however, i didn't authorise delivery without signature and yet my parcel was still delivered. Luckily my partner was at home to receive the parcel. It was left in the letterbox and noone had even attempted to knock on the door. This isn't the first time this has happened either :/ I'm just lucky that my parcel wasn't stolen 🙃

I peggiori. Spesso non consegnano con la scusa che non trovano l'indirizzo e mettono "in attesa" a tempo indefinito il pacco (non provano nemmeno a chiamarti al cellulare). Per email non rispondono, l'unico modo per sbloccare la consegna è chiamarli al servizio clienti a pagamento (3-4 euro di chiamata). Una vergogna

Terrible and dishonest service. Paul from the contact centre lied that customer has requested to deliver the parcel on xx/xx/xx date. Stop the business and join NZ post instead.

Similar story to others here. It's Wednesday. I am at home waiting for a delivery (pretty straightforward, the numbers are written on the letterboxes I believe). Two days in a row the tracking info says "delivery attempted", although they must have a fairly low bar definition of "attempt" as nobody knocks on the front door. In any case, scheduled for delivery on Monday next week, I call them and they take my phone number, and tell me the earliest they can deliver now is Wednesday.
Highly, enthusiastically NOT recommended.

Third international shipment in recent weeks and more PROBLEMS. DHL NZ confirmed they have operation issues but nothing has been done. I am spending more time tracking down my own shipments then any of the DHL NZ would care. Complains and enquires got thing done. Incompetent and unsatisfactory services.
