The whole family loved Diggerland
The whole family loved Diggerland. The activities were age appropriate and encouraged adults to interact with young children on the rides. The food in the food hall was nice and reasonable. The only disappointment was that the ice cream van was closed. The family are talking about getting season tickets. Good fun for everyone.

Hi Sam,
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're delighted to hear that the whole family enjoyed their day at Diggerland, and it’s great to know that the activities allowed adults and children to have fun together on the rides. We’re also pleased to hear that you found the food in the Dig Inn café both tasty and reasonably priced.
We are sorry that the ice cream van was closed on the day of your visit. Although the catering establishment is franchised and not directly related to Diggerland, we fully understand and appreciate that this impacts the overall experience, and we’ll ensure your feedback is passed along.
We look forward to welcoming you all back in the future.
Best wishes,

An amazing day out for the whole family
We brought out 2 year old boy to Diggerland Durham at the beginning of the month and we all had a fantastic day out. It was not overcrowded, we didn't have to queue for long and although our son was just over 90cm there were only a couple of rides he wasn't able to do. His favourites were the Giant Diggers, SkyShuttle and the Safari (the driver of the Safari was absolutely hilarious).
A great family day out!

Avoid if your child is under a metre…
Avoid if your child is under a metre don't be sucked in by them going in for free. Unless there is an older taller sibling and both parents are attending it's not worth it. Most rides are for over a metre, it falsely advertises kids over 80cm have 8 options. We counted 6, one of which was closed the other needed someone to ride with them but couldn't be an adult as they are too old.
We basically paid £30 each for our kids to play with little tykes houses and in soft play. I'm sure it's great for older kids but worth waiting until they're over a metre and just sucking up paying full price for your kid so they actually get to go on some rides. Huge shame

Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your visit to Diggerland on this occasion.
In regards to your comments on our pricing structure, we charge a full admission fee for a child who measures over 100cm in height, as they are able to enjoy 18 of the 20 rides & drives available. Anyone over 90cm, will still be able to enjoy 15 of these rides, whether they are accompanied by an adult or by themselves. Children over 80cm can also enjoy 9 of these rides. All of our ride height information is clearly stated on our website, for guests to view and plan their day ahead of their visit: https://www.diggerland.com/ride-height-chart/
We apologise once again that your visit did not live up to the expectations. All of your feedback will be passed onto the relevant managers for their consideration and review.

We took our 3 year old son for his birthday and were pleasantly surprised to find he could go on almost all of the attractions with some help from one of us and that you could actually drive the diggers yourself. His favourite was the ball pit digger in the soft play area. The staff were friendly and there was little queuing to access the diggers. Our son enjoyed himself and we will definitely bring him back when he is a bit older.

When we visited we had a couple of…
When we visited we had a couple of issues, the jcb driving I wasn't allowed to drive had the staff driving you round, the sky lift only went up about 10ft not to the 50ft . Battery powered car ran out half way round and the 2 tyre stacking tractor only one working so couldn't race .
I did ask the questions at the time and was told the the sky lift needed realigning and the lady driving the jcb couldn't understand why we couldn't drive the jcb . The battery powered cars there were 3 others sat doing nothing and only one person supervising the stack tractor so couldn't watch both at the same time .
I have emailed Diggerland, to be told it was down to the weather, and the issue for rides not working to their full potential is in the disclaimer. So covers them for anything really as it an outdoor activity
As I've said, staff on the day didn't put the issue with the skylift down to the weather, just that they didn't want to realign it.

Great family day out
We went on Saturday 8/6/24
My little boy absolutely loved it. Staff were friendly and good with the kids. Even my 11 year old girl enjoyed the day. She was really chuffed to drive a car. Didn’t think the queues were too bad either. Not too packed and plenty of picnic tables to stop and eat. Would highly recommend for a fun family day out. 👷🏼🚜🚧👷♀️
