Unsolicited outreach followed by very unprofessional conduct
I was contacted on my personal cell phone about business services after making a Facebook post specifically stating that I was looking for personal connections or trusted referrals and would NOT respond to random cold pitches.
A representative from this company called Kevin at @digitora.us texted me on my personal cell phone without permission. When I asked how my personal number was obtained they told me he had found my information on Facebook, conducted a “deep search,” and located my phone number. He then provided a Digitora email address and linked me to Digitora’s Trustpilot profile.
I raised concerns about the unsolicited texting and asked that my number be removed. Instead of handling the concern professionally, Kevin called me an “assh*le” and later made a comment that I was “too old to understand this.”
I eventually told him not to contact me further and replied STOP, after which I received an unsubscribe confirmation.
I have screenshots documenting the full exchange and have reached out to the company directly.

Jake Smith was not a customer of Digitora. No services were purchased, no work was performed, no agreement was entered into, and no financial transaction took place between Jake Smith and Digitora.
The initial contact occurred because our team saw a public Facebook post in which Jake was seeking assistance with website development and inviting people who could provide the relevant service to contact him. Our representative contacted him in response to that public request. Jake initially engaged with the conversation and requested our company information, which was provided.
The conversation later became contentious. We have retained the complete message history and screenshots of the exchange, including the context surrounding the initial contact, the subsequent communications, and the request to discontinue contact. These records are available for Trustpilot to review.
Once Jake requested that communication stop and replied “STOP,” an unsubscribe confirmation was issued and the request to discontinue further communication was honored.
We respect anyone's decision not to pursue a service, and we take concerns about communication seriously. At the same time, we believe it is important that the circumstances of an interaction are represented accurately and in their proper context.
Because this review contains specific factual claims about what was said and how the interaction occurred, we have provided the relevant correspondence to Trustpilot and respectfully ask that the review be assessed against the actual documented conversation and Trustpilot's applicable guidelines.
