If it weren’t for him who knows what might have happened over time if we had tried to do our own taxes. I contacted Dimov Tax several years ago via the Internet because local CPAs assume you are a Gazillionaire by living in San Francisco and price accordingly
Dimov Tax took me on as a client although I'm not a wealthy person. My fees were very fair but the service was fit for a King!

Gone are the days of dreading April 15th, since I started working with Dimov Tax. They're incredibly responsive, clear and organized. The process is seamless, quick and 100% virtual. My only regret is not having found them sooner.

Great service all-around

I have been using George for my taxes since 2017. Since then, I have referred two of my friends and been super happy with the service. Timeline is as follows:

⁃ Was referred to George by my roommate at the time. My taxes were a bit more complex than I wanted to deal with
⁃ After getting my tax mess cleaned up (long story) they helped my mother get her taxes caught up, as well
⁃ I changed jobs twice & worked with George each time
⁃ I took a work hiatus that required some financial planning - George’s team made my comfortable with my finances during that time

In summary, Jurgen on George’s team has been available pretty much anytime I text or call him. The rates are reasonable for the amount of time he spends with me.

I have been using this company for the last two years. My friend recommended them to me when I needed somebody to help with my taxes. I was pretty last-minute and was grateful to find somebody to take me on.

In previous years, I used TurboTax, but this year was different. I had multiple W-2s as well as several 1099s. Apparently I’m supposed to be a business for tax purposes and I really did not even know where to start.

Jurgen from George’s company pulled up my taxes, helped me go through various deductions, and patiently went through each possible tax strategy and deduction that may apply to me.

I am currently using them again this year, and wanted to take the time out to write this review - it is really overdue from last year.

Unprofessional, showed up late to meeting, and didn’t answer any of my tax questions I prepared. Beware of these overwhelmingly positive reviews as they ask you (beg) for 5 stars before services have been completed (let alone started).

I received two different services from Dimov Tax Specialists and they provided those services adequately. George, whom I believe is the owner, was incredibly prompt with any emails I sent that the other CPAs couldn’t get to right away. The prices were competitive and the folks were very polite.

The reason I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of some miscommunications or misunderstandings.

After paying for an estimation of what I might owe, I sent in the required documents. About a week or two later someone (not George) emailed me asking me to send in the documents so they could get started on the estimation. Not a big deal. But then when it came time to send in my documents to file my taxes I was asked to make a payment, which I had already paid for in advance. Again, not a big deal. Then a week or so before they finished filing my taxes I was asked to provide a document that didn’t apply to me, twice, by two different people, within the span of a few days. Also not a big deal.

I have to give them a big shoutout, however, for catching a very small detail that had some possibly huge ramifications. I thought I had sent two separate documents but I actually sent the same document twice, but with different names. When I reviewed the draft they created I noticed something was off, something they wouldn’t have been able to see. I asked them about this issue and they immediately caught the problem and asked me to send in the missing document. I wouldn’t have been able to figure out the issue if not for that level of care.

All in all my experience was great and I will definitely be using them again next year!

Dimov tax is an excellent tax & accounting service!
I have used George & his staff mainly Jurgen for the last 7 years and they do my Hawaii SCorp taxes as well as my Hawaii Real Estate taxes!

They are easy to work with & get everything done in a timely manner! You can ask questions & they respond even on weekends & later at night which is good with the time difference!
They are professional, trustworthy & very knowledgeable!

George and his team have been doing my accounting, bookkeeping, strategy, and taxes for 6 years. In that timeframe, my company grew from 15 to over 200 people and with millions in profit. They have proactively identified strategies to save us considerably in tax (over 100k per year). I have recommended them to friends of mine in my inner circle that are far more successful and they also have vouched for him. I have mostly been working directly with Xintian on his team but the others have been excellent, as well. They coached me through 1) biz ownership 2) rental property ownership 3) section 8 ownership 4) creating new companies for my side projects 5) payroll and ITINs for staff members 6) personal property tax 7) business profitability. This is night and day from my prior accountant which basically just did the returns. I also need to give myself credit, as well, since I do take them up on mid-year strategy consultations to ensure I am planning ahead of time. They are very big on that & if you follow their timelines, you will get the benefits and clarity. I book my monthly calls with them & they understand my business in detail. Highly recommend!

Something doesn't add up between their glowing reviews and my own personal experience. I contacted them about doing our taxes based on the good things people said about them.

However, what I have experienced has not been a good experience. Communications has been downright awful, with emails going unanswered altogether and them not even showing up for meetings. Their portal to upload documents doesn't seem secure. I also find it strange rather than scheduling meetings via Zoom where you can see each other, they seem to prefer phone calls. On the one occasion I asked for Zoom, the guy never turned on his camera. What are they hiding?

In the end, I couldn't ignore the uneasiness in my gut and sought another accountant.

Super excited to write this review of my accountant - normally this would be a really weird thing to rant & rave about, but they have been excellent. George and his team has completed my taxes for 5 years now. During that time, I had an inheritance, two job changes, two address changes, and quite a few ups & downs. I use them not only for my returns but also for planning mid-year. They are patient with my questions and seem to work around the clock. I have been using Tuan as my senior accountant on the team for years now & cannot be happier. They are super respectful. We had our filings done for 2023 in record time. I will continue to use next year.

Do not trust this firm!

I am a small business owner and had Dimov Tax handle my tax filings last year. This tax firm doesn't know their deductions, and outsources their work to offshore remote employees, while charging a premium for services.

In my case, they missed the scheduled payment dates that they themselves set (twice), and then asked me to submit the tax payments myself. I begrudgingly did so, and informed them that the payments were made. Two weeks later, they submitted my tax payment again, resulting in an overpayment for both state and federal taxes. I had to wait 2 months to get that money refunded.

For a small business owner, an unexpected withdrawal of that size, and a 2 month wait to reclaim those funds, could mean bankruptcy, or worse. Ask yourself, is that really a risk you want to take with your business?

Hi! I have been using George Dimov CPA and his team for 6 years now for my business bookkeeping, payroll setup and maintenance, SEP IRA calculations, and annual taxes for Federal tax, PA state, and Philly City Taxes. They have been ultra responsive, super helpful, and willing to chat basically any day or night. I realize I have complex financials and pretty voluminous needs but they take my work with no issues. I met them through a mutual work acquaintance many years ago & have had zero reason to change. I also created two new businesses through his company and use him for those, as well. They also completed by s-corp conversion from my primary business. I have been with them through sate moves, marriage, home ownership, etc. Big thank you to the team, especially Yeni the office manager for keeping my account organized.

I never leave reviews but Dimov and especially Irine on the team deserve it. We needed a last-minute audit of our organization for a grant application & they stepped up to the project when no other firm would take us on quickly enough. I emailed them on a Fri at 4 in a panic, got a response same-day, had a quote by Sat, and already were working on the audit by Sunday. They were quick to reply to our messages, notably from our CEO, which is not always a basket of rainbows to work with. The fees quoted were completely reasonable considering the deadline we needed and considering it was a holiday weekend. Irine really saved the day. I will use them again next time without hesitation & have also added them as a referral to our network. Keep it up!

Hi! Dimov Tax have been instrumental in getting my back taxes cleaned up. Between my husband’s small business, our two toddlers, and my job, we let taxes slip by. Rude awakening was when we got a notice that we owed 80k. Yikes! George and his team got this balance down tenfold. We also used him to clean up my mom’s tax situation that was a mess after my dad passed. In both cases, the costs for hiring Dimov tax 1) paid for themselves many times over and 2) were half of what we were quoted by my spouse’s tax attorney for the same work.
