Dirty all over.Town Centre is a joke.Rally driving on all roads however its us the tax payers fault for driving on the roads we pay to be maintained.
Report a pot hole and the council send someone to measure it and report back."It's not large enough to repair just yet"

Doncaster has the worst performing council in England - how embarrassing . This shows time and again by what appears to be the same people from st ledger and council who mistreat the public . Shocking way in which public are spoken to on telephones, threatening nasty letters sent out totally unjustified. Bullying, and untruthful . My advice for anyone dealing with them is ensure you have all communication in writing, have everything recorded and evidence communication to protect yourselves. Doncaster. Council employees you are not above the law and can be made accountable and responsible for their actions. A new citizens advice is required to enable the public to have access to free legal assistance to end the many cases of mistreatment by certain council employees, it is a shame also for the good employees there that they are lumbered with a dysfunctional group destroying Doncaster council. The sooner the bad eggs are sacked the better. You are paid by the public to do a public service you are not there to bully, intimidate, lie, mis use, or abuse the public. This council was so bad it was put in special measures , are you going ( back) in those measures ? And what are you doing about your rogue staff chief executive ??? Paid 168000 plus per year to run this council which is once again dripping into special measures.

I have not visited Doncaster town sorry I should say city center for many years so on return last month when I met up with an old friend. The difference between how it used to be and how it is now is one that makes me sad and very angry . when I went to college (where it use to be in the waterdale) and might I say in my opinion much better had a vibrant feeling to it students helped cash flow in shops and cafes through the bad times in the 80s and 90s the central library was so full of students you had to reserve tables for study it was that busy then of course there was st James swimming baths where before or after college one could enjoy the facilities of a proper vintage pool . The town center was such a busy place you had trouble finding a car park space . Then there buses which brought coach loads of people to do their shopping as it was quite rightly recognized that in South Yorkshire Doncaster was the best In fact the whole of Doncaster town center then had a energy which is certainly absent which I don’t think will ever return judging by the number of vacant shops why Doncaster council chose to put their eggs all on one basket so to speak and centralize
In the French gate shopping center is beyond me neither is the rush to pedestrianise the whole area of the town . What is the point when there are no pedestrians. If they were going to centralize they should have started with the old coop store . Such an asset nobody in the council picked up on I worked there in the 1970s when it shut they should have brought the markets into the center yes it is ok where it now but one can see footfall is no where near where it use to be. So yes on the of my return I feel very sad indeed the jewel in the crown of Doncaster has been lost never to be recaptured .

One thing that makes my blood boil is ignorant people and this council are experts at that ..
Wether that be Wellbeing , the cheif executive himself , their housing department " St leger homes " and child services this council is pig ignorant.
Whenever any question is asked where they know they are at fault they ignore you .
Too damn ignorant to answer emails or even a simple question without lying.
They all stick together and lie through their back teeth to defend their cronies no matter what .
Prime example , lie about information stopping me getting details under the freedom of information act , lie and say " ST LEGER HOMES " is nothing to do with the council when shown official letters from ST LEGER HOMES stating they are owned and controlled by this council .
Insulting my girlfriend because one of their social workers lies about my girlfriend makes sick allagations about her and makes irrelevant sexual remarks about my girlfriend's daughter in their court report .
" i'm sure the social worker may be some kind of paedophile ? "
And when you ask to come in to discuss the situation (complain) they ignore you .

Cannot manage their homes themselves, set up an ALMO called st leger homes to manage stock, between these two incompetent organisations cannot get the works completed on high rise blocks in a timely manner or ensure contacting correct residents regarding issues & booking appointments for issue not aware of then expecting me to chase them!

We have just taken a sofa to Conisborough waste disposal site on crookhill Road and had fantastic service from John the team leader. He could not have been more helpful.

I drove in a bus lane for a few seconds as I was not familiar with the road and got fined, what you do not realise is I will never visit your grubby little city again and will tell people for many years not to bother, same as skegness, take me for a cash cow and karma will take that poxy £35 fine and lose you thousands in future revenue

The local council education and complaints team need investigating ,I have been harressed for a total of 5yrs since I signed my child out of their twisted system,to homeschool. I have been harressed, slandered my human and parental
rights violated,defamation,ganged against, fraudulently maliciously fined nearly £2000,and labelled a criminal, intimidated, humiliated,my complaints sabotaged by the appalling DMBC complaints team ,that humiliate and laugh at genuine serious complaints,( regarding a malicious referral to SS , using dirty BLATENT, slanderous lies with words such as mentally ill extremely aggressive, aggressive rants , combative) going against also their whistleblower policy... These malicious,violating dirty criminal liars , ABUSERS, ARE NOT BEING HELD ACCOUNTABLE WHAT SO EVER,they all stick together,and when you cannot afford a solicitor,it permits this FILTH to violate an INNOCENT citizen as they so choose... This malicious, disturbing behaviour could cause a person to commit suicide ,and they want OUR CHILDREN on their register .. how twisted is that.. I will be protesting this appalling unwanted mental and emotional distress these so called professional s ( lying ,violating abusers) are continually and disturbingly getting away with, especially the corrupt fines ( STEALING off innocent parents,using their acts and statutes which require consent))

If you gave them a business, it would be bankrupt within a week, in Elmfield park, there is a small bungalow, which use to be for the park keeper, when he left it was in perfectly good condition, it is now destroyed, this is the mindset of Doncaster council, everything they touch turns to ruin. In Hyde Park about 10 years ago, they sent a letter around, saying, if you do not have your rubbish bin out on the correct day, we will take it away, so one Sunday 2 lorries turned up, and took away 50 bins approx, on my road alone. since that day there has been a massive rubbish tipping problem in the area, its like at school when the teacher says be good or we will take your toys off you, thats how they see the public, naughty children, now they have to pay workmen to clear the alleys every week, employ someone to come and take pictures of the rubbish and put yellow tape around it ,saying crime scene, and send endless letters to the community about fly tipping

Useless muppets. Can't budget so rip of motorists .

I would give zero stars if I could. I’ve been emailing licensing for over a month daily and I get no reply. I know they under resourced and struggling but over a month to reply to an email. I wish I could have a job in the council I would the mess that they’re in within a day

My son is being charged £5 an hour for district heating he complained lve had to give him over £100 to help him the council said he's lying my children don't tell lies lve seen the meter readings myself he's telling. The truth

It is a shame for " THE CITY of Doncaster " That there is NO SINGLE CHILDMINDER to do drop offs and pick ups from Central School Atlas Academy! There is many childminders around but not even one in the City Centre!! Such a shame for Doncaster Council who requested a City Status, but can't even provide a help needed. There must be done some improvements in this area as it is a City right ? !

They have now started hiding parking sings and giving tickets to people. I parked where I have always done few weeks ago, and got a ticket... the signs (recently put up) was behind a tree!
It is impossible to make them understand that it is not right to do that...

DMBC Housing standards, another tax payer funded department that is not fit for purpose.

After 2 years of ongoing problems with an appalling estate agent who are unwilling to fulfill their legal obligations in order to maximize profit, I contacted DMBC housing for help.
After numerous attempts I finally got through to arrange a visit to the property. An officer came to inspect the property and talk to me about the issues we were having. I was told someone would be in touch. The weeks passed ,repairs were still not carried out by the estate agents and I still had no response from DMBC. I rang DMBC back multiple times to no avail. The phone would just ring with no answer. I would leave numerous answer phone messages with my details for a call back but nobody called. On the rare occasion someone actually did answer they would take my details and say someone will call you back. Nobody called. I decided to email the department instead only to find they have blocked their own email address so it is impossible to contact them by that method too.
Eventually after weeks of frustration i was able to arrange a second visit to the property. The same officer as before came out and agreed something must be done about the issues we were having.
The estate agent in the meantime carried out some repairs but not all and we are still to this day without heating.
I still have had no update from DMBC after two months so have had to chase it up once again only to be put through the same frustrating process. They don't respond to your answer phone messages and if they answer the phone at all they just say someone will ring you back. They don't!
I have tried complaining to 736000 who transferred me through to the housing standards department after I tried all afternoon to no avail, only to have my details taken and be told 'someone will ring you back'. Guess what? They didn't bother. Rang them again today when I eventually got through only to be told there is nobody to take my call can they take my details they'll ring me back!!!

Rang 736000 again to complain only to be told I will have to fill in a form online with up to a ten day wait for a response if you get one at all.

It seems DMBC housing standards has no intention of tackling dodgy estate agents and landlords. They obviously don't want you contacting them to report these things. If they did they wouldn't make it near impossible to speak to someone or block their own email address from incoming traffic.

Today 30/09/ 2022 just seen a Doncaster grass cutter turn a lawn to mud in Wadworth

I’ve lived in Doncaster all my life and it’s getting worse. The smell and filth in and around the centre is disgusting. The only clean area is where the council offices are, the rest of the town and surrounding area is filthy and stinks to high heaven. I walk into to town(only if I absolutely have to) using st Mary’s bridge and regularly pass people smoking cannabis while pushing prams. This is apparently acceptable in Doncaster. The antisocial behaviour is just accepted in and around the villages of Doncaster, I know this as I’ve reported illegal motorcycles being ridden up and down playing fields on numerous occasions and the problems remains. If you’re planning a visit to Doncaster, I’d go to York or Lincoln instead.

St ledger homes are wasting millions. The complaints team cover up, consistently and are sneaky liars.

Their men are lazy, cannot mix concrete. No pride in their work. Every interaction is a long drawn out process. They have internal teams all trying to screw the other team over so not to pick up work. Leaving the Tennant in the middle trying to get things done being passed from pillar to post.

Never speak over the phone get it written down in emails. When you put a verbal complaint in, you end up recieving a response to a random matter you know nothing about. All emails are indexed and archived, voice calls are not.

The complaints use the same excuses to mitigate their poor performance. They claim they tried to ring your phone even though you have not had a call and cancel jobs, inspections.

Inspectors never inspect your lucky if they even get out of their van.

Third parties don't provide value for money, the council never ensures their work is acceptable. They pay for loft insulation and cavity wall to contractors who take the money but don't do the work. Inspectors sign this work off having never got out their car. Maybe their weighed down with brown envelopes in their pockets.

Thousands of Doncaster homes are cold because they have fake energy certificates. They dare not tell their tenants the contractor who was paid to drill holes and fill the cavity. Did a crafty and didn't fill the cavity but sealed the holes to make it look like they did. The council found this out around 2013 but is suppressing this to hide their incompetence and protect their image.

Infact this is a nationwide scandal all over the country billions of pounds have been scammed. National government is aware but doesn't want to acknowledge it. However as gas has quadrupled this problem needs to be addressed.

The inspectors don't use equipment correctly on purpose so as to not create new jobs. Like £5000 thermal imaging cameras so they can claim there's nothing wrong with your insulation. When there is, always ask out side professionals industry standards. Their men are lazy and will never suggest a solution if it requires them to work. However I found if you say I spoke to a builder who suggested this needs to be done they will do it. But they will never volunteer the solution. I found you get 5 mins in your home shrugging their shoulders. And 1 to 2 hours sat outside in their van reading their newspaper. Which when you put a freedom of information request to see how much the call out was its disgusting how much was charged.

I've brought this up with UKIP and Conservative councillors who know but say there's nothing they can do. If they enquire they can say there was people sat in the van they can invoice £450 for. Even though they don't get out, mostly no-one was sat in the van. Labour Council, Labour mayor its all corrupt, masons, secret dinners. It matters not who you vote there all the same.

Inspectors or tradesman knock quietly then run to their van so they can cancel the job claiming your not in.

They don't give proper notice before coming so your not expecting them. If your not in the job gets cancelled.

They all cover for each other, their playing catchup to correct poor work which should have been done properly first time.

What I have noticed is recalls have to be done with their own money. So they raise another fake job to invoice for to pay for the work to correct their bodge jobs.

Your M.P.s and local councillors are meant to hold them to account... they are usless. They know about the problems but say there's nothing they can do. How can this be so? How can this be allowed to continue?

They even lie to your M.P.s when you complain, they even refuse to give you information in freedom of information requests. They deny it exists when it does, especially when it makes them look incompetent.

Donny gate never went away

They are a law unto themselves, and they can do as they please. How can council tax be increased to pay for this service. The service is abysmal, they spend more time and effort protecting their image than addressing the underlying corruption and mismanagement. I wish this energy was directed into service delivery.

Now covid is being used as an excuse, the service was poor before covid.
