This company refuses to cancel my subscription! They have taken so much money from me because of this and I am helpless. I lost access to my paypal account so they have told me they will keep stealing my money forever. What kind of horrific company does this to someone who is struggling financially? I am distraught and have no idea what to do.

Edit: It seems I am not able to reply to their response, but their team had told me twice they can’t help me and wont stop the subscription.

I set up a single Donorbox donation page and after combined Donorbox and Stripe fees I'm losing over 6% of every donation. The documentation is confusing and gives multiple different rates for Stripe payments, differing between donation setup page and FAQ. Turns out the "donor pays the fees" assumes the lowest rate but if you end up with a higher rate you still don't get the full donation.

I understand the need for fees on their business model, but a flat 2.95% fee on top of Stripe fees for simple products like a donation page on a website are not a good value proposition given the plethora of other options. I'll be switching my donation page to another provider with lower fees for simple "Stripe wrapper" functionality.

As other reviews report, the user interface is absolutely awful. You have no control over anything. They then leverage on that by harassing you on a daily basis despite numerous requests and formal complaints (copying the charity and the ICO in) to stop spamming/harassing. These people and this organisation are toxic with a capital toxic. Try and do something good in the world and this is the resistance you face. Absolutely shocking behaviour from this shameful organisation clearly set to generously profit only from the most vulnerable - poses a few questions about the type of people they are doesn't it. Thankfully, I'm resilient enough for it not to deter me from donating to other charities but I won't be going anywhere near this payment platform again that's for sure! And if I see their name mentioned I will be sure to let the charity know about my experiences.

I don't trust donorbox because in my personal experience I know a dangerous violent criminal who is utilizing it as he's under investigation for felonious assaults he 100% committed! If he's on it clearly anyone can be on it! I'm not going to listen to the random people leaving good reviews who WANT money lol! I'm going to listen to all the 1Star reviewers because they explain their own Actual bad experiences and don't want anything from me!

I donated to a campaign this week and was shocked to see 4% taken as fees by this platform : that is bloody greedy.

Just looking at recent reviews there are a remarkable number of 5* posts from first-time posters. I'm sure they are all genuine.

Donorbox is such a great all-in-one platform for nonprofits. As an international fundraiser, this tool is perfect for international nonprofits as it supports many different countries and currencies. I am so excited they launched their CRM as it will really help so many nonprofits get organized with their donors to improve both donor acquisition and retention. 100% a Donorbox fan!
