DriveSafe Driving Schools - DriveSafe Westminster Avis 21

I went to the DriveSafe Driving Schools website last night to schedule my teens drive test. There was an option to pay, and because this is different than how I obtained my license years ago, I submitted payment for his drive test. I was expecting to be able to schedule his test myself online since I had just submitted payment, however, after my payment was submitted a screen came up instructing me to call their number to schedule the drive test at my convenience. Keep in mind, that nowhere on this company’s website is there any information or mention of No Refunds if you cancel. Seeing that they have a location close to where I live, I tried to schedule at that location this morning only to be told that the earliest date to test there was November 22nd, and that the Arvada location and Wheat Ridge location were experiencing staffing issues. I was encouraged instead to schedule up in Westminster at 120th and Huron and was told they have a lot more availability. I went ahead and scheduled my teen for a drive test for afterschool on Halloween. My teen found another testing location through another company that is closer to us and asked me to contact them to see if they had anything open prior to Halloween. Well, they did. I called DriveSafe Driving Schools and informed the gentleman that I spoke with that I wanted to cancel the drive test for Halloween, and I then inquired about obtaining a refund. He informed me that the person I spoke to when scheduling the test should have informed me that they do not give refunds, but that the credit is good for up to 2 years in the event my teen fails and needs to re-test. That’s an ironic statement to make. However, after reading the reviews on this location it is no longer that ironic. My advice to any parent or guardian looking to schedule their teen for a drive test, call first, and ask about their refund policy. Life happens, things come up and a company that is so rigid and lacks flexibility and understanding isn’t a company you want to give your business or hard-earned money to. I would advise that you call around other schools and unless you are desperate, stay far away form DriveSafe Driving Schools – Westminster location. There are a lot of other schools in the metro area. Again, only go here if you are desperate. Since my teens drive test was scheduled for this location and your people didn’t inform me of your “No Refund” policy that is conveniently NOT listed on your website, therefore your dishonest business practices have earned your organization this review. To every parent or guardian who reads it, you’re welcome!

The teachers were so awesome! They made it fun for the teens! My daughter and her friends were super nervous for driving school but they ended up actually loving it!

It was impossible to get drive times that my child could attend without missing school for drive times. I even called months ahead of time and still could not find drive times! My son used this same program 2 years before and this was not the case. It was very convenient and service oriented. I get that there was a shortage of staffing this last year, but it was absolutely ridiculous how hard it was to schedule drives. We ended up doing all the drives in one week over spring break, and still had to drive all over Colorado to get the 3 drives. Even though I had called months a head of time to book them

I want to start this review by saying my driving instructor was extremely helpful and did a fantastic job. However the beforehand was frankly ridiculous. The inability to schedule outside of three months puts such a hindrance on getting your drivers license that attempting it is frustrating. Please hire more people so this becomes less of an issue.

Sophie always felt comfortable with her instructor and said everyone was great. She passed her test and is out there driving…I’m surprised at how safe I feel as a passenger—-can’t wait to put my younger child through the same program

We have used Drive Safe with all 3 of our kids as they earned the privilege to drive. Drive Safe has been an excellent service that provided non-Mom and Dad input during the lessons that has really stuck with the kids. We also like that the drivers test can be taken through the Drive Safe offices and staff. I would HIGHLY recommend Drive Safe for any up and coming young drivers.

The drive test was completely deceptive and in no way helped the driver pass.

Each driving instructor, provided realistic feedback for my individual improvement. The instructors analyzed my driving skills. Based on my individual driving skills, I was shown the application of techniques to practice. Each driving lessons, definitely helped to gain self-confidence, to feel comfortable to drive independently the proper way. I am very thankful for the 10 hour driving lessons package.

Trainer is very kind and teacher also good teaching make me understand and pass in 1 time thank you so much

Inconsistency in the instructors. My daughter didn't know what wad expected of her to pass the driving test which led to her failing the first time.

It has been really hard to get his license. Everyone tells me a different thing. Working with the DMV is aweful!! WE had one really friendly lady who gave his his 2nd test. The first guy was not as friendly.

Great experience with DriveSafe. My daughter was very nervous to drive with us, but her driving sessions with the instructor put her at ease! The process was very simple for getting the permit and license!

I had a great experience with easy to understand instructions and tidbits on the things I was doing wrong to help me pass my test.

Love the program - makes parents easy to navigate next steps, etc.

From day one, working with DriveSafe was a great experience. The people I spoke to over the phone were all very polite and informative about the entire process. I am glad to have chose this driving school for my middle son. My oldest went to another drive school in the area and this was a much better experience.

The experience with DriveSafe was overall very good. I felt like my new driver was prepared with what was learned in class and during the one-on-one drives. I felt like the instructors were very informative and helpful. The online system to register for classes and drives was very easy to use, however It was very difficult to schedule drives and the drive test. I would have loved some guidance/suggestion to schedule those way ahead of time as it took us some time to find available times. Overall I would and have referred many family and friends and would use Drivesafe again for another student in the future.

It was about the best driving lesson(s) and experience I could’ve gotten.
