We are a community farm shop celebrating the best Somerset has to offer. Durslade Farm is the inspiration behind the farm shop – sharing all that is a fresh and seasonal with the local community, and direct to you, nationwide. On the farm we rear award-winning beef and lamb for the farm shop and we also have the walled garden where we grow a selection of herbs, fruit and vegetables. All of our meat is expertly prepared by our Head Butcher Giles and his team. In addition we have an orchard for cider, a vineyard and bee hives for our own honey and a large selection of wild, foraged foods including wild garlic, crab apples, blackberries – which make up our foraged range. Our commitment to sustainability and ethos in working with like-minded suppliers is what connects us to the different producers we work with – from free range farms where animal welfare and best practice is the highest priority, to companies that use materials that are biodegradable or made from recycled materials. Poor quality Valentine’s Day flowers Bought a box of Valentine’s Day flowers here for my mother was told that they died immediately the next day. Very poor quality and the sourcing needs to be checked upon . To pay £90 for something with no durability is outrageous quite frankly. judging by the reply to reviews they don’t seem to care about anything overpriced garbage
Wrong item containing nuts sent instead of the item ordered
I purchased a beef wellington for Christmas.
It arrived at the correct time but instead of being a beef wellington it was infact a vegan wellington.
I didnt realise this up till after I'd cooked and began slicing into it.
The packing slip, the instructions and all documentation said it was a beef wellington. The only place I could see that said vegan wellington was a small sticker on the bottom of the plastic packaging that I pulled out of the bin after cooking when I was checking.
Given that the vegan wellington contains nuts and thr beef wellington doesn't, this seems absolutely crazy and against all food packaging standards.
Also, a ruined meal which was a big shame on the day.
I was refunded the cost of the wellington (NOT the shipping) but it literally ruined our Christmas day meal. Not a good experience, and a customer lost.

Excellent products
I have ordered several times and always receive prompt delivery. Products are all excellent quality and taste. Could not rate highly enough

customer service poor TWICE
Okay. So their couriers lost my parcel – that happens. But their (anonymous) 'customer service' rep did the absolute minimum – refunded me with no more than a curt apology. You had a chance to shine. You didn't. You've lost a customer.
Ha! Then a boilerplate insincere generic apology. PLEASE show this to your MD. If it was my company I'd want to know how to retain and delight my customers. Two opportunities. Two fails. Two stars? Nah. Just one now.

Tough as old boot leather
Got their chateaubriand and honestly it was the toughest meat I've had in a very long time. Huge wastage from 6 adults who usually demolish meat. Very very disappointing

It is the second time I have purchased wardolf salad on both occasions walnuts where not present expensive for celery and raisins never again.
A Caring Local Supplier
I appreciated the opportunity to order from a local producer and, as hoped, the turkey was very good. We ordered it for the 23rd as being in a remote part of the country we wanted some leeway. It was as well we did because it actually arrived on the 24th, I suspect a dpd issue rather than anything to do with the Farm Shop. Customer service was prompt in following up the delay and the turkey was a pleasure to unpack when it arrived

No Delivery/Poor customer service
I placed a Christmas order on 30 November for delivery on 23 December. On 4 December I received a DPD notification stating they were expecting my parcel, which was cancelled shortly afterwards and was clearly an error. Having received no DPD notification yesterday (22) or this morning (23), I called customer services to follow up. I was told there had been a delay with DPD and that my order was now due on Christmas Eve, supposedly upgraded to a pre 12:30 delivery slot. I explained that I was expecting the delivery on 23 December as originally confirmed and that this was to cater for celebrations on 24 December. The “customer service” adviser who took my call did not seem interested. He then gave me a tracking number with no parcel to track and no delivery showed up on 24. Overall, appalling service with no genuine attempt to resolve the issue or provide reassurance. The only option offered was a refund, which did nothing to address the immediate problem and left me with no guarantee that the order would arrive in time anyway. He showed a complete lack of accountability and basic people skills. He would benefit from a crash course in how to deal with customers, particularly in situations involving missed deliveries and time-sensitive orders. Overall, subpar experience. I wish I had read the reviews before wasting my time and money.

Miss delivery dates and meat expires prior to xmas
We requested a delivery date of the 19th of December and ordered on the 13th of December. Waited in all day for it not to arrive. Received an email mid afternoon stating it wouldn't be delivered till the Saturday, 20th. Had to postpone travel plans to stay home and take delivery.
We ordered rib on beef, for boxing day, expiry 26th December, porchetta for xmas day, expiry 24th December, chipolata sausages expiry 26th December and streaky bacon, expiry 23rd December. All ordered from the Christmas range.
Zero customer service over the weekend. Won't order again. Disgraceful

I queried the price paid considering this and was fairly offered both a partial or full refund. I will use the joint for another occasion and therefore felt fair to accept a partial refund, duly made same day. Much appreciated service but would have appreciated more transparent ordering.
Marmalade tea cake
Marmalade tea cake. Awful. Very gooey, jelly like marshmallow and the marmalade centre just unpleasant. Whole thing overly sweet.
This was a gift but sadly earns the classification of ‘not worth the calories ‘ in my opinion.
Easter cookies also not great. Very tough and chewy with not much flavour apart from sugar.
All together the sweet Easter treats gifted to me were very disappointing after having high hopes !

Rectified a difficult situation.
After a complete mess up by this company, sending out a Beef welIington rather than a Vegan one and ruining mine and my son's Christmas, I have to say that after a few emails, they have done their upmost to rectify the situation, from refunding the initial amount to sending a free Vegan Wellington out to me again.
5* for doing their best to put this right, we are all human at the end of the day!

Slow to respond but helpful when order not delivered
My order didn't arrive, there was no tracking and my email went unanswered. But when I phoned the company they were very helpful and sorted it right away.
Situation has been rectified after 3 months in which I had no replies from them. Since I've had no other option but to write a review they've now refunded me what I was owed.
I've been ordering since covid & everything was always perfect except this time. Received my order last Thurday & 2 items missing. Have sent 3 emails & no reply from any of them. Have rang different times & no one answering the phone. Shocking way to do do business. I know the 2 items were small but it's the principle that counts. Very disappointed. Mary Quail

‘No one at home.’
If there was a zero star option I would have selected it. No success when trying to order 2 ‘Lamb Guard of Honour,’ online. Wouldn’t take payment details despite more than seven attempts. It’s was not because there were issues connecting to the bank, it simply would not allow me to enter any card details. I Really liked the look of the meat so tried to order by telephone on several occasions; again no success, phone not answered.
