Earwax removal with endoscope microsuction and ear irrigation in Northampton and surrounding areas, also offering home visits in areas within 60 mile radius. What are common symptoms of earwax build up? -Earache -Difficulty hearing -Itchy ears -Dizziness -Ear infection -Sounds such as a high pitched whistle in the ear(s) How do we remove earwax? Our Clinical Audiologists offer the full range of safe and effective earcare techniques for wax removal including Microsuction, Irrigation and Dry Tools. Microsuction is the gold standard of wax removal. Earwax removal is a treatment where the Audiologist removes earwax using a suction device whilst looking into your ear with an Endoscope which offers a clear view of the ear canal making it easier to remove earwax. How long does it take? In most cases it takes up to 15 minutes to perform microsuction on both ears. It is very important to sit as still as you can during the procedure. The ear canal is very small and it is in very close proximity to the eardrum. Even small movements can take the ear canal image out of focus and so prolong the appointment duration. Is microsuction safe? Ear microsuction is the safest and most effective procedure for examination and treatment of the ear when performed by experienced and well-trained clinicians. Does microsuction hurt? If microsuction is performed by an experienced clinician, the procedure is unlikely to be painful. The main issue that the patients notice is the sound of the suction probe which is reasonably quick to become accustomed to. We use extra fine tips for suction of wax very close to the drum, in order to avoid excessive exposure to suction noise. If you suffer with infection of the outer ear canal then the infection itself could be uncomfortable and so microsuction of the infected ear canal can be painful. However, microsuction of infected debris and wax from the external ear canal is the most effective treatment for external ear infection (otitis externa), along with antibiotic drop useage if the cause is bacterial. You can help reduce some of the discomfort by taking your preferred painkiller an hour prior to attending your appointment. Earwax softening advice It is highly recommended you use Olive Oil Ear Drops at least 3 days prior to an earwax removal appointment. We advise that you dispense 2/3 drops/squirts in the affected ear(s) to ease the wax removal process. We recommend the Earol Olive Oil which is available to purchase at most pharmacies over the counter.

Highly recommended. Abdul was professional and reassuring and explained what he was doing as he was doing it. It took about 25 minutes in total. So pleased to be able to hear properly again.

I was completely deaf for a week until…
I was completely deaf for a week until I went to Abdul. He took seven minutes to unblock my ears, he showed me videos as he was doing it and explained every step.
The procedure was completely painless, and at the end of it , I could hear again!!

I would say microsuction is so much…
I would say microsuction is so much better than syringing. Really quick, efficient and the man was freindly, I would go again when I need to and recommend others do the same.

I called on Monday morning as my…
I called on Monday morning as my daughter had pain in her ear and lots of itching, earwax cleaning managed to fit me in on the same day as I lived close by apparently, Abdul came to our house and we were given a chance to look inside the ear first and we seen all of the wax stuffed in there, then he removed it with very little pain, my daughter can now return to school. He was very reassuring and kept us informed for the whole procedure.

Unable to hear in left ear for over a…
Unable to hear in left ear for over a week and unable to remove blockage myself so gave these go and got in the same day and sorted me out . Highly recomended and very helpfull and proffesional.
