I can't believe I can't leave a 0 star review. Been a member for 12 months now, to get access to in demand tcg product or get deals on their Tuesday events. I've never secured anything in demand as they appear to be completely incompetent. IMO, This company couldn't be trusted to sit the right way on a toilet seat, but manages to survive somehow. Don't join their eb plus expecting to get product for your kids as you really have a better chance talking to scalpers.

I will never preorder from eb games ever again. They can't even get stock to their stores on the release date. Now after paying in full my game is not instore and the jb hifi store just up the road has stock available now. If a game has a release date you should make shore you get the stock into the store for the release date.

Scalpers paradise with rude staff to boot. Return to in store only pre orders. That’s the reason I shop elsewhere.

Weaponized Incompetence
I’ve had such foul experiences with this company, even as a child, I was abused by their management
Finally gave up and had them delete my account, after ignoring consumer law for the 100th time and being so immensely greedy
Don’t waste you time with these foul excuses for a business

I'm blocked by their official facebook page for just saying their CEO was lying and still selling products at above RRP.

Actually the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.. I paid 50 dollars to gain access for the wow forever pre order, (while it was still in stock) I went in store and talked to him about it.. so I got the membership expecting I can buy it online as soon as I walked out. My membership didn’t active until Atleast 24 hours later, so I missed out on something I paid extra for, I tried calling them for 2 days got hung up on after 30 minutes 3 times,the 4th call after 28 minutes.. I finally get someone to talk to me, they tell me the person in store told me it was gonna be overnight, ( he did not) why else would I buy it then? if that was my sole purpose of getting it.. but it was their word over mine, and nothing they can do no refund for my membership that I won’t use for anything else… no wow forever collector’s edition made available, absolutely useless. Think this was my last experience dealing with them! I’ll go to Jb-hifi next time.

They used to be great till they decided to lock things behind a paywall of eb plus program, otherwise i have never had a problem with them

The website sucks i tried to sign up and guess what i my stuff 5 times and it said oops we dont allow more then 5 trys to make a account for 5 minutes this is bull shit i hope they get shutdown and maybe let us make account you guys suck i tried to preorder delta reign pokemon and it still would not let me for my dad what kind of scam yall runnin here??? get bent,big w toyworld and zing are better

EB Games made people sign up for yearly subscription to get access to trading cards games just to almost double the RRP of the products. Extremely corrupt. If EB Games wants to stay in business I highly recommend selling at close to RRP and not abuse their customers.

EB Games has completely scammed their loyal customer base. You have to have an annual subscription to be able to buy any of their TCG products, and once you’ve paid for that, you now have to pay double the MSRP for these products, because EB Games decided that because the demand is so high, they can set whatever price they want. It’s absolutely disgusting that as one of the largest retailers in the country for their products, they think it’s okay to hold their loyal customers to ransom like this. They have the some of the largest product allocation, which won’t matter once they go out of business because all of their customers hate them.

Company is going down hill. Zero customer service and rude staff.
Stealing money from people and have no control over stock.

Pay memberships to receive the ability to buy nothing from them and of course they refuse refunds.

I think every EB games is different but my experience recently was amazing. Staff were very friendly on a busy weekend and answered all my questions with patience and a smile. In my personal opinion it feels like management and policies are messing this up for the staff and would recommend visiting in person instead of doing it online.

Travelled 25km to a store today, because they were the only ones with what I wanted in stock. There are 3 closer stores, out of stock. Staff checked inventory - 2 in stock. 2 staff then spent 10 minutes searching the store to no avail. Wasted half my day, cost me money, and I left empty handed.
It seems like every corporate company is the same now. They simply don't care.

Trash. Typical retail trash. And they wonder why we buy from Amazon and eBay.

Went to eb games kawana today.
My ps4 controller was having an issue with the d pad.
Joel, was un helpful, and preoccupied, he offered no solutions for my controller issue.
He did offer a small discount for a trade in, replacement pre owned controller as mine was out of warranty.
As I try to remain loyal as I but the system from Kawana eb games.
No joy.
He sold me a new controller with 12mth warranty.
I asked him on 3 separate occasions if it was the same.
Dual shock , same charge port , exactly like he one he had.
His dis interest in my questions was frustrating at least.
He asked orange or black for new controller colour.
I said orange.
I asked again if it was the same absolutely yes .
I bought it.
Got home home not the same won't charge as the model is different won't connect to my cable from ps4 to controller.
Unlike the one I left him.
If the wasn't enough.
I purchased a pre owned game.
Civilisation 6.
Took to
Counter after buying wrong controller.
Same sales person.
I believe Joel Tuesday 19th May morning shift.
Searched for Civilisation disc for a full 10 mins
Stated he couldn't find it.
As I was watching this genius.
After he couldn't find it I suggested he look under C for Civilisation, it was the first disc in the line.
Could not recommend going elsewhere more.
No advice No customer service no intellectual interaction no outcome.
Now I have to go back and deal with this idiot again to resolve the issue.
As he didn't careless over the phone.
I live 40kms from the store

Wayyy overpriced, even for used games/consoles. My original fat ps3 was in better condition than anything they had in their store and they offered me an amount so low that I felt like slapping them right back.

I'm sorry but this retailer has lost its way. I was always going into EB Games, they were my first choice and I'm a level 4 member. Now I'll never go back, for an electronics Boutique, they have turned into a pop culture merchandise shop, not just my local but all over the Gold Coast. I think EB Games is done, they could at least have the dignity to bow out with Grace and just become Zing pop culture. They're not even a shadow of the previous stores. I'd honestly give zero stars but that's not possible

Iv been a customer and top teir account holder with EB games for 2 decades. I wont ever purchase from them again after the incidents with my last 2 pre-orders.

First time, i recieved a message saying the game was ready for pick up the saleman thought it would be funny to ask for my photo ID(which has never happended before) which i had left in my car and despite me having my phone, the message it was ready for pick up and my account details. He demand i produce my id or i wouldnt get my pre-paid item.

Ths second time, was today. I had pre-paid for a copy of RE9 and told the staff i would be away for work and wouldnt be picking up until monday. All i got today was apology someone had sold my fully prepaid for copy and offered a refund as they had no copies left.

For a business that has to compete against cheaper online services. I find it ridiculous how poorly self aware their employees are and the importance of actually offering good service.

I will no longer be bothering to support the stores physical locations. They are essentially just toy stores now and cant be relied on.
