Three years on a problem arose with the inverter. They came and fixed straightaway.

In October 2025,my aim was to max out solar production and add battery storage on my property in Ramsgate through a second system in parallel to a May 2014 16 panel 4kW system installed by a different firm. My aim was to provide a rapid ROI, eliminate future electricity bills and develop a reliable income stream in our retirement years. ElecTech added 31 panels, initially, but then, in December, a further 20 panels, on multiple buildings. Due to the number of arrays and desire to maximize production, I needed two full Tesla Powerwall batteries (6MPPTs). ElecTech also added a Tesla EV Wall Connector 3. All works were carried out efficiently and at very competitive prices. Post-installation support was exceptional. I separately commissioned them to install a second array on my daughter's new build home in Larkfield, Kent (20 panels in four rows on a very challenging 47.5 degree slope roof). Exceptional skill was required to achieve that. That also involved a Tesla Powerwall 3 and Tesla battery. All these works were done with great customer service, cleanliness and aftercare. I'm now considering the possibility of having this firm carry out further works on my property in Ramsgate, after extensive further construction of outbuildings: a third system that would require further DNO increases in permitted export and raise my total panel count to 93 with an annual production of nearly 40 megawatts. I wouldn't dream of getting any other firm to do that work.

I first heard of Electech through the "Which?" Trusted Trader scheme and requested a quote for the supply and installation of a 16 panel PV system with hybrid inverter and 6.5 kWh battery.

Their figures stacked up well against quotes from local PV installers, despite the distance from their HQ to my home location (approx 200 miles).

The installation was carried out in April 2023 and the work was completed in a single day with minimal disruption. The team took time to discuss the location of the equipment and to install the cabling to minimise the visual impact of the job. Inspection, test and compliance certification was supplied within a couple of days of completion to enable export of surplus power to the grid.

In April 2024, there was a follow-up visit from the Microgeneration Certification Scheme to review the quality and compliance of the work carried out by Electech and the assessor commented on the neatness of the installation.

In April 2025 a fault developed in one of the isolator switches which rendered the system inoperative. Electech responded positively and very quickly, sending an engineer within 3 days to replace the faulty switch, together with a similar unit elsewhere in the system to minimise the risk of a further failure.

In September 2025 a second 6.5 kWh battery was installed, bringing the total offline capacity to 13 kWh. This additional capacity is used in conjunction with cheap overnight tariffs to minimise power imports during the darker months of the year.

The team at Electech are knowledgeable and most helpful and I fully recommend the company.

I first found Electech on Facebook where i was impressed with the 50+ Q&A responses regarding solar panel and battery installation from potential clients responding to their advert.

I then subscribed to Which? online where Electech's name popped up as a trusted trader, so i was happy to ask for a quote alongside egg and heatable.

Electech were the most competitive and we did the deal.

The istallation of my 18 panels, Tesla Powerwall 3 and Zappi charger took just two days, which apparently was a tricky job due to the setup of my house (end of trerrace Victorian house in Southend).

The onsite team were knowledgeable and courteous. Nice chaps! They help with the setup of the apps you'll get with the powerwall and zappi.

I do recommend getting as many panels as possible, as i have now not just eliminated my electricity bill, but I've now started exporting my excess solar to the grid for profit!

Why the Powerwall 3? Even on cloudy days I can download all the electricity I need on the cheep overnight tariff from Eon Next in about two hours and this will power my house all day with plenty to spare. I can even download electricity at 6.8p/Kwh between midnight and 7am, then sell it back to them at 17p/Kwh! The powewall handles all this so i can collect the money.

Even in early March I'm making £3-4/day. Summer should be awesome.
That should be a cheeky little cheque coming my way around Christmas time.

I have solar panels and batteries installed on my property few months ago by Electech Installations and have to say that from the initial visit to the installation and couple of service calls after that, the company dealt with everything very professionally and with a speed! Within couple of days I had all the information to make a decision for the installation and week later I had the job done within a day. Their scaffolding company was also very quick and I didn’t have any aggravation throughout the whole process. And afterwards when one battery turned up to be faulty they came and replaced it without any problems. Also helped us with the installation of the smart meter. Overall excellent service.Definitely will recommend them to my friends.
