Great bunch of guys
Great bunch of guys, RV was great, had a few problems when we were out on the road but nothing we couldn’t sort out.
These guys were more than helpful from the start to the end of our holiday so I would completely recommend on using them, will definitely be looking them up in the future for more amazing adventures.

First time experience doing Route 66
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the RV and even gave him the nickname “Bil”! From start to finish, we had a great experience and made some wonderful memories travelling aroute 66 for the 1st time.
The only real disappointment was that our pick-up was delayed by two hours. The team did their best to accommodate us and refunded the early pick-up fee, which we appreciated.
We also were told that the linen was missing, and although we were refunded for this as well, we had to spend time shopping for linen ourselves. Unfortunately, this put us more than two hours behind schedule.
Despite these initial hiccups, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Bil and are grateful for the experience. With a smoother pick-up and everything ready to go from the start, it would have been an even better experience!

Unit was worse than expected
Unit was worse than expected, related to El Monte standard. Mileage was high, most of furniture was aged, the linen kits and kitchen accessories were scarce. Check-in and drop-off staff was gently.

Josh was helpful and apologetic for a 2hr wait while our vehicle got serviced at pick up- unfortunately we had no fridge for the 10day trip due to it breaking down (did have freezer).Phoned arts owner , supplied a photo of the serial number as requested he never bothered to follow up .El monte help desk did respond we did a full 12 hr defrost as requested, and no joy and no follow up. Obviously the fridge condensor fan is stuffed.Generator exhaust fell off , no tools to fix it, Warped oven hobs. And no water in fresh tank at first stop.50K miles on clock vehicle was nice to drive.

Not good, if you will have problems
We were extremely dissatisfied with our rental experience.
About halfway through our trip, the water pump broke. We contacted the support numbers that had been provided to us, but no one answered our calls. After some time, someone finally responded via email, but unfortunately that didn't help resolve the issue.
As a result, we no longer had a functioning water pump, which meant we couldn't wash dishes, flush the toilet, or use the shower. These are exactly the basic features you expect when renting a camper. At that point, it was essentially just a car with a bed.
In the end, we were only refunded a disappointing $173, which I find completely inadequate considering the total rental cost was over $5,000.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend renting from them.

We hadden via een organisatie in Nederland geboekt. Bij aankomst kregen we de mogelijkheid om gratis te upgraden naar een grotere camper, omdat een ander stel juist een kleinere wilde. Heel fijn geregeld.
Service onderweg was duidelijk, vriendelijk en goed bereikbaar. We konden altijd bellen als we vragen hadden — zelfs op zondag — en kregen meteen heldere uitleg.
De staat van de camper was uitstekend: schoon, compleet en alles wat we nodig hadden zat erin. De airco werkte perfect, wat echt een lifesaver was tijdens warme dagen.
Ook het ophaal- en inleverproces verliep soepel. We kregen duidelijke uitleg over alle aansluitingen en bijkomstigheden, waardoor we met een gerust gevoel konden vertrekken.

I was very happy with the service at…
I was very happy with the service at Arts RV in Villa Park/Glenellyn, Il! They were helpful and considerate, got me in and out quickly on pickup and drop off. I couldn’t have asked for a nicer RV. I’ve been renting on Memorial Day weekend for 11 years and my second time at with El Monte. Both were my best experiences yet.

Unser El Monte RV Class C Family Sleeper: neu, laut, Achtung Bettlänge!
Unser El Monte RV Class C Family Sleeper hatte Jahrgang 2026 und war in sehr gutem Zustand. Die technische Einweisung in Chicago verlief sehr speditiv und freundlich.
Zwei Dinge, die man wissen muss und uns so nicht klar waren:
1. "up to 7 people" stimmt schon - aber nur, wenn 3(!) davon Kinder sind! In den beiden Betten im Living Bereich kann KEINE erwachsene Person schlafen: die Betten sind viel zu kurz!
2. Ab einer Geschwindigkeit von ca. 55 mph wird es im Inneren derart laut, dass man sich nicht mehr unterhalten kann. Wir sind dann immer mit Gehörschutz gefahren!
Im Bereich Customer Service kann sich El Monte Chicago noch deutlich verbessern: wir hatten vorab drei Campingstühle bestellt und bezahlt. Als wir ankamen, hiess es, es hätte nur noch einen Campingstuhl zur Verfügung. Der zu viel bezahlte Betrag für zwei Stühle wurde zwar erstattet, doch erwarte ich bei einer Bestellung, die Monate im Voraus getätigt wurde, dass sich die Herren und Damen von El Monte etwas für ihre Kunden engagieren: man hätte problemlos zwei Billig-Campingstühle von Walmart besorgen können! Das war miserabler Kundenservice, liebe Nancy!
Preis-Leistung stimmte für uns. Wir würden wieder bei El Monte mieten.
