Onboard was excellent...office and pre/post cruise less so
Onboard was excellent. We were very fortunate to be on a cruise with only 26 others. The staff were incredible and the cruise portion of the trip was wonderful - the food, amazing!!!; the room - we were in a superior balcony and was fab to have some extra space, not that we spent much time there becuase we were by the lovely pool, often by ourselves (I think had there been more passengers we would have spent more time time).
Next time I would not do the additiona pre- and post cruise days in the cities, the ground team were a bit hit and miss, we had one guide that just woudl not stop talking and filled any silences with ""facts"" that were dubious at best. Ditto with the discovermore tours - one was lovely, much due to the wonderful guide we had for that one, the other was a rip off - a sunset activity where we didn't even get to stay for the sunset or the on short exploration parts - over 1/2 the activity we paid for!!
Once back - the response from Emerald was low to non-existent - seems once they have the money and you have been, they are onto the next customer. (re Emerald in Australia)
