This review is to counter act the review given by Lewis Quinn below, this gentleman tried everything to place EMI Heating into disrepute, after this going to court and EMI Heating Ltd winning the case due to all supporting evidence and Mr Quinn failing to attend court, the Judge awarded in the favor of EMI Heating Ltd. The Court as ordered Mr Quinn to remove the false post and he as failed. EMI Heating Ltd is communicating with Trustpilot and stating we are looking at taking Mr Quinn for loss of earnings, due to the false allegation below.

This is a small family and friend run business. The people are nice to talk to and quickly make you feel like you can trust them. I am new to house renovation. I have only just recently bought my first home and have little time to do my own DIY. I bought an old barn conversion that needed some updates. I wanted to get some good under floor insulation and new roof insulation. I was convinced to follow advice and get a new boiler and new radiators. Although they did not recommend all new radiators, I ended up deciding to have a full refit. So sure was I that all would be well that I actually left my home key with Lee and his compatriots whilst I went away to Italy for some business. When I came back, things seemed to be great and the works were soon to be done. Before long, everything was done and the final invoice was to be paid. On Friday evening at around 6:30pm they had concluded their works and I was asked to be as prompt as I could about my final payment. I was told that this invoice would have the VAT in it (An extra £2.5K I was not planning on). I pushed back because in all of the quotes they had been 'incl. of tax.' Lee admitted his mistake but said, "if we meet half-way, I will take off £1k in your next job." At that point I was going to get them to decorate my house and do some flooring. I trusted enough at this point to agree. A few days later I was getting a EICR for the house as I was planning to rent it. They highlighted that they would need to be quite a job to be done as they would need to replace all of the downstairs spots and some upstairs due to them not being fire resistant. I mentioned I had just paid for the second floor lights to get fire resistant caps (F-Caps). The Electrician looked at my incredulously and said that they were not there when he looked. Later that day I was having an Energy inspector come to reclassify the energy certificate on the house (again for rental purposes). He told me he could not find any evidence of underfloor insulation. I watched him after having removed carpets and sporadically place his metal ruler through the floor boards and to hear it touch the floor underneath.

I was enraged but left it a couple of days until I called Jasmine who was/is the installations manager. I told what had happened and she said she would get back in touch ASAP. The next morning I received an email from Jasmine saying that not having the 48 F-Caps (£432) was an honest mistake and that they would be there in a day or two to fit them. As to underfloor insulation she confirmed that they had done this. After seeing the energy certifier look for the UFI and not able to find evidence of this, I became very concerned that this company had done me out of a lot of hard earned money. As an example of their mendacity, I asked where they got access to do the UFI under the kitchen as it was so neatly boarded there that it seemed like nothing had happened. I was told they did so through the hall way. I lifted the carpets and floors boards to discover/confirm their lies. That part of the house has brick walls from the footing right to the roof rafters.

When I discovered this I told them that I did not want to see them on my property again unless they gave me the money back for the works which they had not done. Although they wanted to come and install the F-Caps (£432) they were not open to refunding me my £1100 for the Underfloor Insulation and my overpayments for their VAT trick (£770).

I am in process of taking them to Small Claims Court. This is the type of company that continue to change its name and internet sites and so whilst I am somewhat sure I will not see a penny from them, I am going to try.

As to the works which they carried out. I cannot commend them anything above a high-school competency; without regard to right-angles, taste or imagination.
