The word "Sofrito" is Spanish and means to lightly fry something, such as by sauteing or stir-frying. It’s a technique that the Spanish colonists brought with them when they settled in the Caribbean and Latin America beginning in the late 1400s. It's a fragrant blend of herbs and spices used to season countless dishes, such as stews, beans, rice, alcapurrias, and occasionally meat.

Ordered the Adobo seasoning. Excellent product. Used it as a dry rub on roast beef for a catering job. Once I opened my package, the smell hit me immediately. This will definitely be a staple in my seasoning cabinet.
Tried the Es adobo for the first time while making lasagña, using only this seasoning and of course the Encanto sofrito and i was pleasantly surprised. Great, great flavor. I will no longer go without this in my kitchen, heavenly sent!

Truly amazing..The flavor is phenomenal a must try, On whatever you want to put it on & or marinate with. I mean Whatever!!
