Absolute SCAM. Bought an engine through 3ngines only to find I was now dealing with Engines2you who ‘had’ the engine. Expecting within 5 days. 2 months later no engine. Just excuses and broken promises. Will not answer phone. Just WhatsApp messages to string you along. Neither 3ngines or Engines2you gave a refund on my deadline but luckily my bank agreed it was a scam and refunded me. I have reported the company and owner Lewis Collier to the Insolvency Service, Action Fraud, Trading Standards and the police. They have since taken their website down. About to be struck off from Companies House. DO NOT USE.

DO NOT use this company if you wish to never see your engine again.
They took out engine in October and it was then returned to us but when it arrived back the engine was missing loads of parts, we managed to rebuild the engine only to find it still did not work, we contacted them to no avail, to which point we took them a legal letter.
They then contact us and agreed to fix the engine, they picked this back up in April, and have never given it back, they do not answer the phone, and the garage they was at is always closed.
Dodge company Dodge owner.
We will be heading down legal roots to get the costs back and also looking to get the cost of a new engine covered.

AVOID AT ALL COST

15months later and the van is still left to rot in the yard at their Mill Street, Farnworth unit.

Purchased an engine told multiple times it's getting delivered and received multiple excuses for the delay. engine has not been received after over 5 weeks. Company fails to return messages. Website doesn't exist and on companies house the buisness is in debt. This has cost my business thousands due to the fact I can't operate without my van and the replacement engine has not been received. Payed for 3/5 day delivery. Buisness just ignores your messages for updates. Don't use this company

Ordered an engine on Tuesday and was responding until I sent the money I waited for the delivery day and the engine never turned up and couldn’t get in contact I’ve since been blocked on WhatsApp so tried to contact with my other phone and they responded feeding me with lies trying to blame the courier and since then told me he would get the engine out Friday/saturday well it’s now Saturday and no engine and still being ignored this has held my garage up for a week keep having to move everything around for these cowboys to keep messing me around I have all the photo evidence of this interaction too

Absolute scammers Ordered an engine waited two weeks even though was meant to arrive within 5 working days (any pallet delivery in uk is £60-£90 and delivers within 3-4 days)
They do not reply to phone calls or messages even on what’s app , absolute scammers , sent me the wrong engine and told me to start stripping and replacing parts from my old engine , asked them to get old engine collected and refund issued and it’s been over 2 weeks and engines still sitting in my garage and still no reply from anyone from this company , will defiantly avoid in future if anyone is thinking of buying from these guys read reviews first as I’m not the only one this has happened to , AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

We paid over £1350 for a reconditioned engine from these cowboys!
It took almost 5months to finally get it delivered, and even then it was the wrong thing.
So many excuses and bulls*** given on WhatsApp, even a film of an engine that apparently was ours, but still not finished after months!
The guy obviously thought his voice notes were convincing, even though we didn't.
Firstly, it never was credit or debit card payments as advertised, as the machine was broken apparently. This was a Friday so it couldnt be fixed until Monday. On Monday apparently the man didnt come so bank transfer only, if we wanted our engine...
BANK TRANSFER ONLY
A few weeks before Christmas too. Then no contact from him until afterwards, when he messaged sent a VT saying how he'd had food poisoning so hadn't been in. But he was going in the next day to do the last little jobs.
Next day another VT saying, he went in but put one bolt in and went home.
After new year he then couldnt finish because he couldn't find the tool he needed, so would have to wait to ask 'the lads' if they had ordered another.
A week later- no they hadn't so he would.
2wks later he only found the tool that was lost!!! Really?
Another week and the courier was booked at last.
Another week and the courier hadn't signed it off so it was still in the system not paid for.
Another week and finally it arrives, and guess what....
It was a GEARBOX addressed to IRELAND!
A van was sent to pick it up but never arrived.
1 week later the engine arrived, half built and bits missing. Most of which didn't show up until the mechanic started to fit it. Too late then, the old engine was out.

They were supposed to come back for our old engine, but never have. We did wonder why, but we're looking forward to hearing from him if he changes his mind.
And our car has never ran since it had this engine of theirs, surprisingly enough!

It is currently in the garage AGAIN, getting the fuel pump rebuilt now.
We have bought endless parts to finish it off, and paid hours of labour costs just to get fixed what Engines2u failed to do.
This company should NOT be trading. They WILL rip you off.
DO NOT pay by bank transfer. It is much harder, if not impossible to get back. That's why his card machine didn't work.
At least he had a nice Christmas though, on his customers money we feel.

Please don't be one of them!

I have been chasing dale adams for months over my Ford ranger engine. I must have called them over 100 times and messaged the about the same. No response. If he would like to contact me about this would be fantastic.

Ordered an engine 15/02/2026, paid in full, engine never arrived, the guy takes ages to answer the phone or reply to any messages, he's got a whole book load of excuses as to why the engine hasn't been dispatched, avoid at all costs and I'll be making sure all my motor trade contacts do the same, I've reported the company to all the relevant authorities so hopefully the scammer will be stopped from trading.

Update 01/05/2026- shock no engine, shock no communication. Engine has been sourced elsewhere, have requested a refund again. Will now follow up via legal advice.

Update- engine promised for delivery tomorrow 01/05/2026, should this be the case, this review will be edited to reflect this.

Nightmare, have been waiting over a month for the engine. Refund requested several times ‘can’t afford it’, nor can I. Have sourced another engine from elsewhere which I cannot pay for because my money has been stolen. Gave a final last ditch attempt as our van has been off the road for over a month where we have had no income or when we have the majority of this has been spent out on hire vehicles of on Tuesday begging this be delivered, promised it would be, had missed Wednesdays delivery slot so booked in for today (Thursday), contacted the delivery company with the tracking number provided who said the engine wasn’t ready for collection, when we contacted Lewis he sent a picture of 3 engines on the back of a flat bed, assuming this was being dropped off but the depot still state this hasn’t been received and they are awaiting Lewis instructions. Have got to the point I’ve said I’ll pull out the kids from school and at 16 weeks pregnant will make a 10 hour round trip to collect so we can get some food on our table and keep the roof over our head. Absolute shambles.

We paid £1580 (including delivery) to this company for an engine on 03/02/26. It never arrived so after giving them the legally required time for delivery we have asked for a refund.
Over 40 calls, voicemails, txt msgs,WhatsApp msgs, emails and letters we are still waiting for a refund. If you don’t want to be a victim of fraud DO NOT use this company. Shameful way to run a business.

Don’t reply to messages, have moved premises so bailiffs cannot collect on court order. Scam company do not use!

I am definately not the same customer as 'save the amazon' and no family members have left a review only me - I look forward to recieving the rest of the refund (been promised several times) fingers crossed it happens this time!

A scam of a company they took my money never delivered the engine
Excuse after excuse they used everything from death in the family to the cat died to gods knows what
I took them to court they were ordered to pay but they are an expert scammers they told the court we can only afford £500 the court accepted their excuse but they had no intention of paying the rest which means taking anther court action
I’m sure next time around they will tell the judge they can only afford 20 pence a week SO THEY KNOW THE LAW AND CAN MANIPULATE IT

I ordered an engine from 3engines and paid deposit through PayPal before being contacted by Engines2you to pay the remaining amount. I cleared the remaining amount but then was contacted by Engines2you to pay more as apparently I did not pay for the full engine. The ending then took a week longer than expected to come. When it arrived, my mechanic inspected it and it was clearly faulty. The turbo had excessive play and many things were missing including looms, wires and bolts. The engine was also not turning over properly. Finally, the VIN for the engines are scratched, pointing to the sale of potentially stolen goods. I informed Engines2you and his communication was extremely poor. Eventually he agreed to return the engine. However, it has been over 3 weeks, I have messaged him 20+ times, called him 50+ times and he has not responded. He is meant to arrange pickup for the engine and he still has not done it. This individual is running a scam operation whereby they entice people through 3engines and seem legit by offering "3 months warranty" but in reality they will sell you engines that are not fit for purpose and then stopped responding. I have submitted this to trading standards and will be taking this to court. I will also be reporting this individual to action fraud so that more people are not scammed. Please save your money and stay far away from this company.

I orderd a polo engine for my daughters car it arived wen he said we put engine in runs like new and low miles defently would use a gain 100 percent

We had a great experience with this company. Our car needed a new engine and other shops told us that we'd have to wait till the end of the month. These guys, after hearing the situation, stepped up and fixed our car that same weekend. They worked on Saturday and Sunday night (which they don't usually do) to fix the car up quickly for us. This meant loads to us. The entire team was so kind and kept us updated throughout the process. The car is running great right now and we're so grateful for their hard work .
I will strongly recommend them to friends and family.
