CAVEAT EMPTOR, ''let the buyer beware'' This amateur business at the cost of £150 English pounds not only ruined my two draylon suites and beige carpet within an hour but also refuse any repayment or blame.
All weekend after the operative left (Tom) I returned home from work where my wife had trusted Tom and left him to do his alleged work.
On my return home my cushions were scattered over my rear lawn to try dry them, my carpet was marked (no protective footwear worn) and water was visible on top of my sofa.
I rang the 0800 number spoke to Mike told him of my distaste. I would not have the operative who attended back, he said he would send somebody different on Monday at 3:30. I rented a de humidifier drew 4 litres of water out Saturday a further 2 on Sunday, at this stage we re examined the suites having not being able to use our lounge all weekend, none of the marks we wanted to be taken out had been removed, our lounge stunk of damp and tide marks were all over our cushions and pillows.
Come today Monday 9th Sept Tom again turned up after I specifically said he was not to return to my premises and also turned up half hour early when I specifically said I would meet him at 3:30pm from work. Tom was very apologetic for the job he had done and admitted his actions and his appliance faulty. His faulty appliance he told me had been reported to his line manager that Friday morning (Beggars belief) He also said we deserved our money back and that he would contact Mike his boss. Mike does not give out refunds he told me, in this instant Tom had protective footwear on his feet, I told him he wasn't coming in my house anyway and had to explain to him by the time he walked up my drive into the house his feet would be dirty anyway- He didn't seem to comprehend this. I was told I should be happy with them turning up with a working machine to do the job again I said I would not let them back in my house and I wanted a refund. Embarrassed Tom offered me £120 cash, I told him to get Mike on the phone and I would get my card ready as he said a full repayment was due.
PLEASE ALL BE AWARE. This company does not give refunds for shoddy work. The inexperienced operative Tom was beside himself with his head in his hands, I asked him to leave my premises and told Mike on the 0800 number (His line manager apparently) that I will take this matter further. My wife is very upset, we have managed to get the marks out the carpet through a third party. Our 4 year old suites are ruined. Please watch this space. I am starting small claims courts proceeding tomorrow and will keep this thread informed. Please please I am not the type of person to complain. Bad company, bad management - Tools that don't work. Inexperienced operatives. I will not let this go unanswered. AGAIN BUYER BEWARE.
