They cannot be sharpened, tips break constantly, & they smear. Buy "gardener marker" pens, which allow small crisp writing & did well with the freezing, smearing, boiling tests I put them through

Very Happy with my choice of plant identification plates
I was looking for long lasting plant identification name plates and these are perfect. They stand up higher and are tilted so you can see them. I chose to spray mine white, wrote on with both types of your pencils. Then I sprayed with a clear coat. They look great in my gardens!!
I ordered 30 at first and went through them in a day. Then I ordered 100 and now I'm getting ready to order more as I'm out again! Had no idea I had that many plants to mark.

I like using the labels in my garden…
I like using the labels in my garden and they came promptly with no damage. It is really great that they are made in America and not another country so when you buy from this company you are supporting made in America.

Thank you, Pat. For the zinc nameplates that you got, the best marking product is a grease pencil. We sell them or you can get them at your local hardware store. Write on the nameplate and set out in the sun for a day. The marking will "bake" into the nameplate and should last for years. We hope this helps!
