Stuart Hodder at Evolution Podiatry Avis 

The treatment at Evolution podiatry is exceptional. I has some verruca treatment with Stuart and he is very professional as well as easy going. The clinic is quite far from my house but I never mind the journey as I love the treatment Evolution podiatry provides!

I had such a lovely experience with Stuart when I visited to discuss an injury that had been interfering with my running. Although the injury was healing well, Stuart offered me invaluable advice about why it could have happened, took time to analyse my gait and talked me through how to avoid it in the future. I learned a great deal and Stuart has a very friendly and attentive manner. I would definitely recommend!

Just one visit has been life changing. Friendly, expert, great up to date equipment for diagnosing, and lots of good solutions, tips, advice and follow-up. I was given some insoles, exercises, diagnosis, and shoe suggestions which have meant I can do so many things I couldn’t and my pain is managed. Great suggestions on how to manage the condition in the long term and liaised with my GP. Amazing value for money.

Really nice clinic. Dr Hodder listens well and reassures on any doubt or concern. The person at the reception (always the same when I came) was always so lovely and always smiling. I had insoles with some exercices and we did some changes when we realised it was not enough. In summary, amazing and would come back if needed !

I had a toe nail injury due to hiking through a gorge and my toe nail almost got detached thanks to not wearing hiking shoes. It was the first time I experienced such an injury and was really nervous not to mention a bit scared. I saw 2 podiatrists before and was not happy with their approach and service. When I met Stuart he reassured me that it will all be okay. Chatting away while he worked on my feet. He was perfectly gentle and knew what he was doing. I would highly recommend Stuart for his experience and professionalism. Excellent service and I wish I went to him earlier.
The clinic was in portobello and it was really nice and clean. Highly recommend him.

Calm place quick procedure

Stuart treated my daughters verruca of which we are grateful to him for. He has such a lovely disposition that my daughter felt instantly at ease with him. I’m just starting treatment with Stuart for my own stubborn verruca and have faith in his knowledge and ability to help me get rid of it.

I came in and after explaining the issues that my flat feet were giving me, I was examined and from the observations we could see it was potentially the source of the knee pain I get occasionally due to the way my feet cave in while walking (and running) as well as the amount of force travelling up my leg when my feet land.

All the options in regards to the types of insoles I could get were presented to me which I appreciated considering cost is a factor I needed to take into account. After having already purchased and used generic insoles I went ahead with the custom ones.

I am now just waiting for them to arrive at the clinic but based on the examination and reviewing the issue with Stuart I was satisfied with the appointment as my issue was looked at promptly and a solution which may provide some correction/relief to my feet was provided which I am content with.

Excellent customer service from receptionist and outstanding professionals working there especially Dr Stuart. Who makes a treatment to my little issue and all my pain was gone.

I cannot recommend Stuart Hodder and the team at Evolution Podiatry highly enough. For a long time, I’d been suffering from an ingrown toenail. The toe itself was looking really purple and angry as the nail burrowed deep into the flesh, causing it to bleed. I was too busy to make an appointment with my GP, which would have required multiple visits: an initial consultation, surgery and follow-up. So I phoned Evolution Podiatry, and they were able to fit me in the following day. But what was perfect – the whole thing was done in a day. I turned up at their premises off the Portobello Road, was welcomed by two friendly and helpful receptionists, and then twenty minutes later, Stuart was performing surgery on the toe: giving me a local anaesthetic, cutting away at a large section of the nail and putting phenol on the nail-bed to prevent further growth, before applying an immaculate, and comfortable dressing. Stuart was friendly and relaxed, his consulting room is spacious and full of natural light, and it was all so easy, it felt more like having a haircut than getting surgery! It took roughly an hour, Stuart sent me away with a big pile of adhesive dressings so I could continue to keep the wound clean, and two months on, it has healed and the toe looks (and smells) immaculate. Stuart has sent me an e-mail every few weeks to check that the toe’s OK, and that there’s no infection, but it’s all been fine. It’s odd looking back at how painful and unpleasant the toe was compared to how comfortable it feels now. And it only took an hour to put it right. Thanks, Stuart.

I sustained an injury to my left foot whilst playing football & after a visit to my local A&E I was told no bones were broken . A few days passed & I decided to seek a second opinion, after a google search I found out luckily enough Stuart’s clinic was a stones throw from my home. After a quick diagnosis he informed me I had in fact fractured my fifth metatarsal & mapped out my road to recovery with a rehab plan. During that period Stuart stayed in touch via email checking in on my progress & reassured me of any doubts I had along the way regarding the healing process.
