Bad support eWon is not worth the cost anymore
Their products pice increase about 50% in the last 2 years. Their support used to be good but now they created a useless support site with no phone support.
the workflow is so slow and their expertise so bad that eventually my last 3 tech support problem hadto be solve by myself! eWon used to be good but now is not worth it
Their change in terms and conditions is really bad for us
Missed their mail of May last Year that stated that Talk2m Free accounts wouldn't be enough to access Ewon devices anymore.
In contrast to what was stated ( "Rest assured, to ensure a smooth transition, we’ll notify you 3 months prior to the deadline.") we never received any further message.
As of today I found out that we no longer have access.
We have one (1) single Ewon at one customer site. Just got it working May 3rd, 2024. That's right: That was 7 days before the change in terms and conditions mentioned above.
My customer surely will be really happy to learn that going forward that single Ewon will cost him €480,- ex. vat per year. I can't say that I am looking forward to having that conversation.

There are other more honest suppliers providing the same remote access at better value and service
Terms and conditions have been changed…
The terms and conditions have been changed suddenly, leaving us with a huge amount of work and additional costs since we chose to use a new, free account for every piece of equipment. Now, all these accounts will become inactive if we don't add a new Ewon to those accounts or transfer them to a paid account. It is very unprofessional of HMS to force their customers to switch to a paid account. If they did this for new Ewons, fine. But not for existing accounts. Can I bill them for all the hours spent investigating the accounts?

Talk2m free accounts will be suspended…
Talk2m free accounts will be suspended 1 year after buying a new device. The new fees are much to high. This was not part of the deal when I bought it.
Time to sell the devices to pro users and switch to another brand.

Unsatisfying policies
Since this year EWON requires to buy devices each year in order to keep the free service. This change in the policy is abusive and turns my 800 € device. Now I will have to use my cosy VPN as a brick. Indeed, use other solutions much cheaper for this application!

Use of EWONS now requires a subscription
I just got the email that I need to keep buying $1600 EWON devices in order to have access to devices I have already purchased on my account. I have used EWON many times over the years without issue. Making people move to a subscription plan is a big mistake. There are many open solutions with cheaper hardware (like mini PCs and edge devices) that will allow VPN access. There are even solutions to access the EWONs without talk2m. Its too bad they went this route, as the hardware already isn't cheap. This will definitely hurt their business.

What a bad thing to tell customers who have bought a lot of Ewons that their account will be suspended within 3 months.
Time to switch to other brands….

Troubleshooting issues resolved quickly
Had a couple of times where I needed technical support from the team. Their responses were quick and answered my questions and I was able to restore service to our devices.
HMS Great Product and great Team
Great Product and great Team for a very good Business. Wonderfull year in 2023 and 2024 will be excellent.

The product ranges are very reliable, and useful anytime data gathering is needed. Been using them for years without any issues.
Very poor customer support in the US
Very poor customer support in the US. Sometimes it is 1 and a half days before anyone returns my call. Have not had any issues in the past with equipment until lately but when I do I expect a quick response. 2nd issue is it appears all technical support issues are handled by email. This is very frustrating when trying to quickly diagnose a problem involving one of our customers. Might as well place a note in a bottle and toss it into the ocean.

Great and versatile products with very good support
I used different products from eWON on a lot of different fields, from industrial equipement to on the field meteo station. They always deliver to the goal. And if you have troubles, the support team is fast and efficient to reply and help you going through.
