A professional and understanding company. James is easy to communicate with and makes sure you understand without being patronising. As a lone female my experience of electricians has been blighted by people not turning up or turning up, half finishing a job and feeling uncomfortable with vague explanations and high bills. James has been excellent in ensuring I am aware of what is being done, delivering what he quotes for and returning to sort out any glitches. Thank you.. James is always our to go Electrician. Trustworthy, professional, knowledgeable, tidy and prompt to reply. Him and his team have done various jobs at our house, all of them at a high standard, no issues at all. Highly recommend.

Had problem with smoke/heat alarms after a power cut James came the same day to fix them then he also came back to replace as faulty I recommend Farthings Electrical as quick to respond and do a very good job

Professional and courteous, he went out of his way to fit us in at short notice, and carried out a full and thorough check on the property, which highlighted a few issue to us that we would otherwise have been unaware of. I had to change the appointment more than once due to other work not being done in time but James fitted my job in without any problem, I would recommend Farthing Electrical to anyone and will be using again for my next electrical needs

For some weeks, I have been struggling to find an electrician to check a non-functioning night storage heater. Promises to drop by to have a look never materialised. I finally gave up and googled some words and found Farthings. A short conversation and a promise to come two days later at 3 pm.

Sure enough, a man called James arrived bang on time. No messing about and he was straight on the job. He quickly identified the problem replaced a defunct part and even tidied up after himself.

The storage heater did what it should that night and no problem since.

Farthing Electrical recently installed some external lighting for us. The initial install was completed efficiently and to an excellent standard. Unfortunately, one of the lighting units subsequently failed due to a manufacturing defect - There were absolutely no issues in arranging for installation of a replacement unit.

I have known James since 2018 when he came to wire my new extension, install a new fuse board, chandeliers and downlights. He has since then installed the electrics for my hot tub. Although this job is not his biggest he is very professional in his approach and ensures that the customer is comfortable with whichever solution works best.
