Used this firm as my Dad had used them to make his will so thought it would be best to use all under the same umberella so to speak.
Firstly solicitor queried with my Dad what he was leaving the grandchildren as I have more children than my sibling. Pointed out my family would get more than my siblings family, despite grandchildren all receiving the same money.
My Dad unfortunately passed away around a month later so used solicitors to apply for probate and sell the property. Was asked repeatedly for information already given. Had to chase constantly and then had to chase various other solicitors/land registry due to mistakes made by another firm prior.
When chasing solicitor told me she was leaving. Made a complaint to the ‘top’ solicitor and he passed the complaint to solicitor who was leaving to deal with. Then ended up with said ‘top’ solicitor to replace the one that had left. No communication unless I chased.
Solicitor dealing with estate finally paid out leaving the interest off. I had to point this out. Out of the 4 solicitors used overall within this form the only one any good was the trainee!
