We ordered $30k for doors and windows

We ordered $30k worth of sliders and windows from First Impressions and this was only the back of the house. The rep Nick came out and spoke to us about our options. We added screens and handles to the outside sliders and we’re told screens come with the windows. We were told 8 weeks for delivery but that went way over with out any follow up from anyone there. I had to call 5 to 6 times just to hear I will call you back and they never did. When the team came out for the installation. Not a single piece of furniture was covered up. Dust covered my home from top to bottom. I just wanted them out when they were done so I could spend the next few days cleaning up after them. There were two broken screens, the doors are installed backwards and 5here are no handles on the outside sliders. I have been calling and calling and Evin will not return my call and they are telling me I have to pay $600 more for the correct screens that they miss ordered.

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your doors. Our goal is always to provide a quality installation and ensure our customers are satisfied with the finished product.

Your doors were installed in accordance with the signed written agreement, and upon completion you signed the completion certificate acknowledging that the installation was completed according to the terms of our agreement.

Even though the installation was performed as agreed, we have still made efforts to assist in resolving your concerns. As discussed, we offered to reverse the doors for you; however, reversing the doors will prevent the existing screens from operating properly due to the configuration and design of the product.

In an effort to accommodate your request, we have offered to replace the screens at our direct cost of $600, while also absorbing all labor costs associated with reversing the doors at no charge to you.

We believe this is a fair and reasonable solution and demonstrates our commitment to customer service and goodwill. Please let us know how you would like to proceed.

Outrageouly bad service and no follow…

Outrageouly bad service and no follow up, stay away from this place if you value your money,
I bought double front door and door handles (aka pulls) from them.
Be aware that this company only sells the hardware, the install and painting they farm out to 3rd parties,
I had issues with the paint after a few month, painter ghosted me even though he gave me a 5 Years warranty.
One of my door handles started to come loose. It took 2 months to schedule an appointment for technician to come out with a dose calls and many missed appointments. When he finally showed up the technician came with a small Allen wrench and told us the screw is stripped and he would have to cut off the handle to replace with new. It would cost $1000 nor under warranty because the screw is stripped.
I called the store at least a dozen times, no call back was ever received and they also ghosted me.
This place has no interest in doing anything but sell the doors and hardware, they don't care about their customers at all.
STAY AWAY!

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. I ended up having to hire my own carpenters to fix the doors that I bought from them. $10,000 spent on doors and Randy wouldn't return my call or respond to my emails. Run fast and far from this place. Here is a list of what went wrong - it's pretty sad...

• 4 doors came completely damaged. Two were sent for repair and were damaged AGAIN on delivery. I ended up having to pay my own carpenters to fix the doors.
• I never received the door that I ordered for the linen closet. I ended up making my own door out of cabinet material.
• None of the doors came with roller catches or even the cutout for them. We had to cut the tops of the doors and install.
• My pivot hardware was never installed in the one door even though I was charged for it. Then the hardware was lost and finally after many calls/emails/texts it was found and delivered back to me. Still never installed in the door and no cutout from the factory. I had to do all of this.
• 2 of the doors came warped.
• Almost half of the screws were missing from the hinges. When I inquired about it – I was told that you guys ran out of screws, so you put in as many as you had. I ended up having to buy my own and install them.
• A couple doors have both gold and silver colored hinges on the same door which is weird. I ended up swapping for the same color/matching hinges.
• One door was made with the incorrect swing.
• More than half of the doorstop was installed backwards. On the same door (out of 3 stops) you might have two that have the rounded edge showing and one that has the 90-degree edge showing. It was all over the place. I don’t think a single door had all of the stops in the same direction.
• 2 doors had the incorrect jamb size. We had to custom make our own jambs on-site.

In response to your reply - the refund amount was for a missing door. Shawn committed to me that the other items would get repaired and never did. You are lucky that you aren't getting sued.

22, 2021. Furthermore, you agreed to have your carpenters fix the minor issues and accept a credit/ refund of $648.28 to resolve any and all issues related to your purchase.

Unmatched customer service

We had a fantastic experience with the First Impression team. Chris is stellar. The transparency and attention to detail easily separated them from the rest. I’m the midst of the slew of supply challenges, they stayed nimble with trying to secure inventory. The fact that they were willing to recommend other businesses in lieu of inventory shortfall says it all. To be honest, our decision to wait for them to get inventory was predicated on their integrity and trust. Absolutely plan to come back again as well as recommend to friends.

This company was a pleasure to work…

This company was a pleasure to work with especially our sales rep Stanley who walked us through everything step by step and took time to explain all aspects of the door and accessories and answered all of our questions and was clear he had in depth knowledge. Our installation coordinator Linda was also great to work with and always kept us up to date on the status of installation and the installers DMAC were also exceptional including the recommended door painters. Was a great experience process from start to finish!
