BEWARE! I was guided to the First Step website instead of the Vermont Secretary of State. I paid $165 too much for my LLC renewal and they auto renewed. I received no benefit from First Step. I am also bizarrely no longer listed as a business in the State of Vermont even though I paid the $200. THIS IS A SCAM.

Fraudulent Mail
They defrauded my wife's business. They lie, state the renewal is overdue, and that the fee is $200+$100 late fee. Renewal fees are $25. The state of Michigan has a known scam posting about this company on their LARA page. They are supposed to be reported for mail fraud if letters are received.

This is a scam. They masquerade as a Secretary of State for LLC renewal site. Then tack on an extra $200 as their fee. I was duped. Be careful you don't do the same.

I feel I was tricked into believing I was working with my state to renew my LLC. Firstep did pay my renewal fee of $18 for me, but charged me $175 for that service!!
