George and his colleague worked very hard all day and did a good job.
Unfortunately there were not original floorboards from the front door and across the room which was disappointing for us.

I am extremely happy with the result and the process, the finish is amazing clean straight and highlights the experience. From planning the work with Martin to the installation with Ivan and Andrea, an extreme amount of thought and preplanning was done. The team was extremely experienced and had no problem during the installation even on a very uneven chipboard subfloor. During the Installation there were some small challenges like walls in corridors not being parallel or complexity around stairwell baluster details, Ivan was able to come up with extremely good ways to make it look good.
I could not be more happy with the results!

Lots of excellent reviews for good reason. I had started with a non specialist and immediately had concerns. George looked at some photos and arrived within days to rectify what had been done and also complete all of the floors on my period home. Often working late to get a large job done very quickly with no compromise on quality. Throughout I received expert advise on how to care for my floors and when it was found the floors on my ground floor were ‘fir’ wood he altered the service so that I could show the floors at their very best. Overall very happy 10/10 to George and Rikki . Will be recommending to all my friends

Floorworks team did magic with the restoration of the natural wood floor in my entire house. The job was complex and required creative thinking and very skilled work. The results are fabulous.

I was impressed with Floorworks (especially given my prioir experience with other flooring companies that have high reviews).
They took the time to explain in detail what they would need to do, they followed up by making themselves available to discuss what flooring options were available, pros and cons of different solutions and were willing to be flexible to help get the job done.
We found them to be a very professional company, both on the phone to their office and the guys who came out to do the job... and finally, the actual work they did was fantastic, it looks great, and we are extremely happy with the quality of the work that they completed.
I would recommend them, and I will use them again, when I get the rest of the floors in my house sorted out.

Time wasters. took the day off to meet them, they measured etc, then stopped all comms. They knew in advance it was a small room so should've said no from the start if that was the problem
phoned & emailed several times -nothing

Quick and friendly but generally poor quality. Ended up with a floor more uneven than before. The did their best to make good a long list of snags.

Extremely disappointing from start to end.

- Disassembled the bed and table to clear the floor (which is fine) but then just chucked it in the adjacent room and did not assemble or put things back once done. I had to pay someone to assemble the furniture again.
- Masking tape left around the whole flat after works were done
- Masking tape used was the wrong type (as confirmed by my builders). Blue masking tape should have been used on fresh paint, so paint peeled off my skirting around the whole of the flat. This cost me another day with the painter.
- I made a mistake and paid the invoice the second it arrived from the company. When I informed them on the above, the response was “This is unfortunate, but… sometimes this can happen and therefore we try and inform our clients in advance through the disclaimers on our quotes”…

Future clients of the company take note, they will only focus on finishing their work with full disregard to your existing furniture, items, walls, etc, as they are protected by disclaimer / small print. My advice would be i) not to use them; ii) if you do decide to use them, not to pay the invoice until you’re fully satisfied with the result.

Avoid floorworks.co.uk where ever possible.

We had booked floorworks.co.uk to restore our parquet flooring as part of our renovation project. They provided an initial quotation then sent out a surveyor to check the condition of the floor and confirm the quotation. We accepted the confirmed quotation and scheduled the work into the renovation project.

When the technicians arrived to do the job they had a surly attitude from the moment they got out of the car. They quickly identified the challenging areas of the restore, which had already been identified & photographed by the surveyor. When I highlighted that this items had already been identified and quoted for the they decided the job couldn't be done and walked off site.

I can only concluded the original quotation was to get them through the door and they planned to significantly increase the price.

As you can imagine my renovation plan is now on hold while I identify an alternative supplier.
