Apart from slow, cryptic support...

Disclaimer: It is true that Fluctus Support is slow and cryptic, but apart from that...
In my own experience, you cannot find better hosting anywhere for the same money (at least not on the Fluctis Premium plans) if you know what you are doing and can deal with some very-brief support responses that can be frustrating when they leave you having to figure some things out on your own. Overall, I began with a Realm a little over two years ago, then tried McProHosting for a while, then installed Java and Minecraft alongside a website I manage at BlueHost, then moved to VPSCraft with a true VPS (CentOS and cPanel as well as Minecraft to manage), then ultimately landed at Fluctis where I can run 20 players lag-free on 4GB for $15.00 per month. Those are the hard facts in my own case, and all else is mere commentary!

Used their services in 2014. Stopped with their services back in 2014. Al of a sudden they charge me in 2018 while not using their services since 2014. No response from their customer support.

Terrible Scam Artists

Terrible have been with them for 5 years. Recently requested a refund on a minecraft server after 6 hours of purchasing as to put it off for a couple months. They reply to the ticket with their going to contact a supervisor then no replys and then they close the ticket. Stay away from them . Save your money

I've been with this company for a total…

I've been with this company for a total of 1 year now. I hosted my server 2 years ago on Fluctis, and I left for a reason. Now coming back, hoping things have changed, it has gotten even worse. The support is ABSOLUTELY awful, and very unprofessional. You have to wait around 15 hours for a first reply, and after that, they leave your ticket hanging for days. The server breaks almost every day, so you can't start it up or perhaps even shut it down, and they do NOTHING to help out. THE worst experience I've had. Definitely do not recommend. I understand, that it might be appealing, as it's so cheap, but please save your time, energy, and money, and try looking for something else. This company is an absolute fraud.

Terrible

First off the control panel is just bad and i bought a 1gb server and I was the only person on it and it was using nearly all of it up. I asked for a refund and they havent even responded back yet it been almost 3 days now .

When i was sent the email confirming the ticket i sent them it said that their support isn't open 24/7... but on the front page of there website it says "24/7 support"

Cheap but Bad Host

Cheap but Bad Host. My MC Server shuts down like every few days, everything is so slow to boot up and shut down. It caused much headache. It is definetly worth investing more money into a better host, like I just switched to Bisect Hosting and I found that I was missing out on a much better service.

The product you pay for here is a budget product don't expect a perfect working server.
the same goes for support it's slow but if your patient and dont mind working some hours this can make a decent running server i have gotten all problems i have had resolved in 2 days which for the price i wont say is bad said that the uptime is not 99% more like 70% so be aware of that. the server runs better on my computer but this is easier with friends

I use fluctis for my minecraft servers as its nice and budget for high amounts of ram. However don't buy a server from this company if you are expecting top quality servers with the best up-time and fastest speeds because this wont be it ! What they do offer however is a very affordable easy to set up service (I got instant set up), I have used many mods and they run fine but i have had to upgrade but the support nicely gave me a coupon to do so.

-The Minecraft Panel-

The panel they give you known as simply "minecraft panel" is by far the best panel i have seen to date definitely user friendly but would like to see more mod options added for people who maybe cant upload mods them selves due to reasons such as internet or even general knowledge of how modded servers work !

The Support is great when he (I'm pretty sure its one guy as i have only ever got a message from one guy named Adam) gets back to you but it can take a day maybe days before said person gives you a response which can really be annoying if you need help or the server is broken !

Performance

When the server runs smooth its awesome but i have had problems with crashes or generally not good connection so have to take 4 points away for the experiences ive had. (There premium service might fix this issue as the ip is dedicated)

Overall should buy there servers if you're on a tight budget if not look elsewhere and go for them fastest speeds (They do offer a premium more expensive servers which use ssd and offer dedicated ips but i have never used this service)

I hope you budgeters find this helpful :)

Server would not work at all, their control panel was completely unresponsive and support tickets were completely ignored. Worst of all, this was all on day one, as the server only worked for the first 5 minutes after payment, and stopped working afterwards. Never ever even attempt to use their services because they are indeed a complete and utter waste of money.

Disgusting

My explanation for this review is given in the support ticket which i emailed to them a few hours ago. My situation is explained, and just know that this hosting company has a reputation for ignoring and stealing from their customers. To sum up the support ticket I sent them, I paid them money for a server, the server failed to work - after sending them a few tickets about some issues I was having, their non-expert staff became frustrated because they didn't know what to do and started ignoring me to avoid helping me on issues they didn't know how to resolve. I threatened them with a charge-back claim and they continued to ignore me. Absolutely appalling service, which is very slow and often unresponsive. Yes, I really mean it! Most of the time when they don't know what to do, they just stop answering you. Staff are extremely rude and abuse their power, too, like explained in this situation.

DISCLAIMER: Please excuse my mild language, I became very frustrated with them after they continued to ignore me, now closing in on a full day without an answer.

I didn't know if I should submit this to the technical department or not, because I am constantly ignored over there. This might honestly be the exact same person who has been rudely ignoring my tickets that have been crying for help, but I really hope it isn't. To whomever this may concern, I'd like to make it clear what this hosting company has done to me. On the 7th of April I decided to try to purchase a server with a hosting company whom I had an eye on for a very long time. A well-made website with catchy prices promising me everything I was looking for. I purchased my server yesterday, and found that I couldn't even log into the control panel. I messaged the support team and they told me to calm down and they reset my username for me. Once I had logged into the control panel, I had found it increasingly hard to navigate around it, for whatever reason. I tried running my server, starting it, restarting it, stopping, killing it, I tried everything, and it still didn't turn on. I messaged the technical support department stating the issues I was having. I didn't mean for the title of my support ticket to sound the way it did, being, "I can't login, and my money is being stolen as we speak by you guys." To my surprise a man named Stephen replied making it clear that I shouldn't be referring to you guys as thieves. I described the problems I was facing and received very poor support - even he didn't know what was wrong with my server. I kept encountering problem after problem after problem, and I just found that I couldn't continue like that. After a few hours after purchasing the service, I filed a cancellation claim stating that I don't know how to use their control panel, that the support was very poor for my level of knowledge on server hosting, and that the server wouldn't even turn on. This same man read my claim and told me that the problems I was facing had absolutely nothing to do with him, and that it was all my fault these problems were occurring. What was funny was that my support ticket for my issues were never answered, yet when I filed a cancellation claim to get a refund because my server wasn't working, he was extremely quick to answer me and shine the light on the fact that he was superior to me, and that everything that had happened had all been a result of my lack of knowledge and, as quoted, "Ability to tell him what's wrong with the server". I filed the claim for a refund out of good intention. I paid for a service and it was not working - considering the support team, or specifically, this man named Stephen, was not answering me and helping me with the issues I was facing. it wasn't like I was being immature with my money, and I regretted what I bought just because I don't understand what an economy is. No. I wasn't getting what i paid for and I deserved my money back. He rudely answered me telling me that there was absolutely no issues from his side, and he told me that I'm not getting a refund for what I paid for. I replied reinforcing the very aspects that were not working, and the issues that I was encountering in an effort to strengthen my reasons for asking for my money back. He continued to ignore me. By night, I had become fed up with the fact that he had previously answered my tickets very quickly, and now he was failing to even answer them. I messaged him again saying, "Hello?". He answered me quickly, telling me that this was not a live chat and that I should stop demanding support, because he had several other people who he had to attend to, also stating that my situation was not of a "high priority". I became furious when he said this. He took the time and effort to quickly reply to me telling me that he doesn't have to time to answer me, yet in the time it took him to write the reply, he didn't even bother to talk about any of the issues I was facing. By this point, I was sure that he was purposely ignoring my tickets so that he did not have to provide me with help for what I have paid for. I messaged him back telling him that if he was not going to answer me and help me, I would file a charge-back claim through my credit card company. Guess what... he didn't answer me. I messaged him that over 16 hours ago, and he still hasn't answered me. I then messaged him another message telling him that I was sorry for the way I acted, something a customer should not have to say to a business - I was just scared.. scared that I was not going to receive support for what I paid for because he was purposely ignoring me now. I told him I'd wake up the next day and hopefully things would be better. I tried to be nice, the nicest I could to someone who was treating me unfairly, even though I was handing him my money for a service that didn't even work and that he didn't even want to help me with. I hoped he would have answered me this morning. I slept good that day knowing that I had made things better with him. I hate being rude to people, but sometimes when there's money involved, you have to be a little harsh on the support you receive because you are entitled to a service. I was just happy I had made things better with him. I woke up today and things were not better. the support ticket had been opened approximately 12 hours ago as of this point, and it was not even answered. Now, I've just given up. I don't know what to do anymore, I don't know what to think. He had cancelled my service for me, even though I had messaged him within 24 hours telling him that I was okay with me not receiving a refund, and that I would be more than happy to keep the server if he helped me. But, no.. he cancelled my service and ignored all my tickets, so now I have put in my money and have had my entitlement stripped away from me like a dog. I just don't understand how it could be easy to do something like this to your customers... there is absolutely no excuse to why he is not answering me, because the homepage clearly states that there is an absolute maximum wait time of 7 hours.. guess that isn't true for the disregarded customers who pay their money just to play Minecraft with their friends. As we close into a day of not being answered, the thought lurks in my mind of calling my credit card company and easily asking for an investigation. I have screenshots of every single support ticket and the replies he sent me, and I've reviewed the T.O.S. of my credit card company's regulations on charge-back claims, and found that I am in a superior position to be eligible of receiving my money back. I wait though.. I wait that in all this disgust and cruelty, there will be someone who will help me. But there isn't. Perhaps the very man who has been disregarding me, abusing his position in this company, and harassing his own customers is the very person reading this right now, and I solely hope that you understand how I'm feeling right now. What did you think I was? Some immature child who would shut their mouth after having their money STOLEN from them, something he reassured me he wasn't doing on the first support ticket I opened. Guess you really are the thieves now.. I'm just asking for what I paid for. From this point on, 24 hours. If this support ticket is not appropriately answered within 24 hours, then I'm going to force my money out of your cruelty. Something I know my provider will do for me. In no way is the situation your putting me in legal, so I hope your happy. Give me what I paid for and we can forget this happened, just don't steal my money and ignore me.

Good for the price

Although the quality of the servers may not be the best, you get what you pay for! FluctisHosting is really cheap and suited my needs perfectly. If you need a refund, despite people complaining, they were very considerate with me and refunded my payment within 4 hours of opening a support ticket.

My only complaint would be it takes ages to join the server and, even then, people don't have the best ping.

Absolutely horrible hosting and support.

I bought one of Fluctis' premium minecraft servers with 4 gigabytes in the start of February. At first, everything seemed to function fine, until i got a very small influx of players (5 players at peak times).

This is when the bad experiences started to pile up. The server TPS went down to 10-15, even though RAM usage was under 1GB.

I asked their support, and said they could move me to a new location, which i did, hoping i was on a damaged node.(i also upgraded to 6GB ram, which didn't help)

It did not help. So i went ahead and tested on my own personal system, after hours, if not days, of testing with different plugins toggled off, and on my own personal system, the server ran well.
This was when i made the decision to move to a new host. On the new host, which is about the same price - everything works fine, with no TPS drops at 20+ players, on even less than the 6GB ram i had at Fluctis.

I then asked for a refund, the 14th of February. After giving a reason for my request, i was told my ticket was sent to a supervisor. I haven't gotten a response, even after asking for a response three times.

So it is about three weeks ago i asked for a refund, with no answer at all.

EDIT:
A day after posting this, an threatening to dispute the money through PayPal, i got a refund.
This will also make me put my rating from 1 star to two.

Very happy!

They have been offering me very satisfactory service for the past few weeks. Will certainly stay with them. Support can be a bit slower but always get my problems solved.

Worst. Hosting. Ever

I ordered a garrysmod server, and it turned out to be quite the worst experience I've ever had. They do not let you configure any files, which results in no steam updater, which means your server isn't updated and cannot be run. Can you imagine any hosting that does that? And after contacting their superficial support, they just kept on asking me about the issues over and over again, providing absolutely zero help.
When I told them to give me a refund, they said no. Only after opening a dispute ticket with PayPal, they told me to cancel the ticket and they will refund. But paypal policies state that do not cancel tickets before refunds are handed otherwise you won't get a refund.

BOTTOM LINE: THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND DON'T GIVE YOU ANY PROPER HOSTING.

Customer Service that might have once been there

The server is good when it works. But when it doesn't, it takes ages from them to do anything. Also, they give you false information like "it will be working in 30 minutes", day passes and nothing happens. It can easily take a week if the "node" you happen to be on "fails". Or you will receive something other technical gibberish as an excuse. The support is online like 6 hours in a day and you might have to wait 18 hours to receive any response, and that can be something as informative as "it seems to be working".
The price was cheap, that's why we took it. Looks like there is always a reason for that. Pay little more and get a server with proper support, you won't regret it.

The best Minecraft host period.

I have been using Fluctis on-and-off for the past couple of years now, and they are superb! They have a really nice control panel for their Minecraft servers, and the prices are very reasonable, with regular coupon discounts available. They also accept Bitcoin, which is a big plus. When I need a Minecraft server, I look no further than Fluctis.
