FSBO is a great option that saves sellers a fortune! It suits sellers who are organised, knowledgeable, confident and enjoy communicating personally. I preferred offering private inspections, instead of doing open houses. Colin and Paul are a great support. FSBO always!

Selling your own home is not so hard in Western Australia. Using FSBO was good because it kept our fees low. There were a few things that we really needed to get right first time and didn't. No.1 is set your price right. This is the hardest. Sorting through the offers is stressful and I ended up getting Keyhive to do that for us and it took away the stress big time. They were great and not expensive. FSBO is a great idea and it generally seems to work very well. The only downside is that the realestate .com.au listing is small and goes to the end of the list of properties using a premium listing. This makes it harder to be found as almost all agents use premium. I ended up upgrading the listing, but that was a big price increase. I didn't realize the basic price will get you less views.

Selling our house with guidance from the team at For Sale By Owner seemed daunting at first but once we made the decision it was a smooth process that gave us a few things to do initially like setting up a date with their photographer which went well and word smithing a description for the ad but with AI that’s not too hard. Easy and effective way to advertise my business for sale.

I would not recommend using this company.

We spent over $2,000 on the property listing, upgraded to the Highlight Package for an additional $6,500, and paid $450 for a Facebook advertising campaign managed by them.

Despite this investment, we never received any reporting on the Facebook campaign and saw no noticeable increase in traffic. To make matters worse, the campaign was not even activated for the first two days after the property went on the market. I had to make multipal phone calls to get it activated.

Communication and follow-through were also disappointing. They forgot to send the promotional flag, and I had to follow up multiple times before receiving a response. While they were very responsive before payment, their service level dropped significantly afterward, with responses often taking 2–3 business days.

The actual cost is much higher than advertised if you want your property to have the same level of exposure as listings from traditional agents. The basic package from For Sale By Owner only includes a very limited listing on real estate websites. To achieve comparable visibility, you are pressured to purchase multiple upgrades, which can bring the total cost to well over $10,000.

The pricing is not as transparent as it initially appears, and the value provided does not justify the additional expense. In my experience, it was a complete waste of time and money.
