The company was first established in February 1995 by Adrian, Julian & Seb Bavetta as an independent family run wholesaler and distributor of non-pharmaceutical OTC healthcare products to the independent pharmacy sector in the United Kingdom. Since its modest beginnings as a small, newly formed set-up, the company has grown rapidly and has today become firmly established in the pharmacy marketplace as a progressive and professionally run organisation. From its early days selling a small range of basic orthopaedic supports, the company now markets a high quality and diverse range of healthcare products – almost all under the company’s own patented Fortuna trademark. In total the company currently sells 2,500 product lines including orthopaedic supports, wound dressings, eyewear articles, mobility aids etc. to over 5,000 independent pharmacies across the whole of the United Kingdom. The company has adopted a strategy of combining the roles of both producer (though not manufacturer) and wholesaler; this business model removes one layer of administration and provides a clear advantage over more traditional competitors. The ability to locate, design and purchase products from anywhere in the world has only become possible for smaller companies with the recent developments in information technology. As an organisation, the company is committed to applying this global and technological approach to a market segment which has until now been relatively untouched by these new developments. The company operates today from Northgate Business Centre, a smart trading estate in Enfield, North London and conveniently located close to London’s M25 Orbital Motorway and North Circular Road. The site consists of an overall trading capacity of 34,500 sq ft (Warehouse 22,000 sq ft / Offices 12,500 sq ft). The group as a whole currently employs 70 members of staff in a variety of roles throughout the United Kingdom.

Nothing to do with us guv!

If you have a problem over a product , you dont get a reply to help ,you are told that the problem is in the hands of the Product Development team. It has been since last year! They must have thousands of products they are developing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.And dont have the time for common courtesy

Plasters are not very good

Plasters are not very good
I purchased some fortuna plasters and needed to you one for my son who cut his finger. I have to say the plasters are very poor quality, they do not adhere very well in comparison to elastoplast which is the brand I usually use. I would not recommend fortuna plasters at all.

Old fashioned tat

Fortuna products look dated and cheap, however I purchased a knee support on the recommendation of shop staff.

The product looked cheap when I took it out of the horribly designed packaging and only after a few days use it stretched so much that it no longer fitted.

Since then I've purchased a different support from another company and the product is much better.

My advice to the company is that you need to update your products and packaging.

Worst After Sales Service

My aunt, an old overweight disabled person, who lives in London, bought from this company a wheel chair, worth 3,000 pounds.
She just tried the chair for a couple of minutes in their premises and thought it is ok.
Going home and after 1-2 days she realized that it is too small for her ( as said she is overweight).
She is trying since then to contact them, me also from abroad ( I live in a different country) but no one wants to speak us, especially Mr. Sheehan, they guy that sold her the chair and emphasized to her that she can call him anytime if there is a problem.
Always cheap excuses that he is in a meeting, left messages on his voice mail, still waiting for him to contact us.
What a terrible after sales service. This is the way you treat disabled people? Get their money and disappear?

We are not involved in the sale or distribution of wheelchairs, and unfortunately, we cannot assist with your aunt's purchase. I recommend double-checking the contact details of the company where the wheelchair was purchased. If you have their invoice or receipt, the correct contact information should be listed there.

I hope you can get this issue resolved quickly, and that your aunt receives the support she needs.

Great product and quick delivery

I ordered easily online and my product came very quickly. The elbow supports were such a good price too.

Poor customer liaison leaving me out of pocket.

Had a frustrating week dealing with their Customer Service person, who saw my complaint regarding a faulty product as a great inconvenience. The product being replaced, as I was told, as a goodwill gesture rather than simply because it was faulty. Passive aggressive customer liaison contact. I was asked to return the product, AT MY EXPENSE, despite supplying detailed photos, and with a simple 'this is not a service we cover' comment when I requested reimbursement.
Update - in response to the reply below: In seeing my disappointment with your response, you couldn't just do something small that would have appeased me? It is far less about the cost than the company attitude to customer satisfaction. And now my unwillingness to recommend / buy further products from you.

Impressive Customer Service

I ​made a very brief telephone call ​to Fortuna Healthcare's Customer Services​ ​​with a question about one of ​their product​s. The​y​ could​ not deal with​ it and so I left it at that. I was surprised and impressed, therefore, when a few hours later one of the company directors rang me to say that he felt my query had not been properly addressed and, as a result, fully and very helpfully dealt with my questions.
