Fourcourtspress Avis

Delighted with the service provided by Four Courts Press and the lovely emails sent before and after my book's arrival. Delighted with my surprise also. Will definitely use this company in the future.

Outstanding from the time I made my inquiry about my book.

There was one copy remaining of the book. Fourcourts Press located it in their US distribution office. It was shipped very quickly and arrived in immaculate condition.

I will definitely use them again.

I pre-ordered a book from Four Courtspress. I got an email letting me know when to expect the book. It arrived early, well wrapped, with a lovely note and a nice surprise. Overall it was a great service and I look forward to ordering from them again.

Excellent, friendly staff, easy to use form, great book and free chocolate!

An excellent service from start to finish. Received an email the same day I ordered advising me my order had already been posted and what post it has gone out in. The book arrived fast and well wrapped. Very happy with my purchase, will definitely be ordering again from this seller.

Great fast delivery and a free gift which was a nice touch as well.

I pre-ordered a book that was currently out of stock and that was due to be reprinted. I was delighted when the book arrived much earlier than expected! I had been emailing Four Courts Press prior to this as well and they answered all of my emails very quickly. Needless to say the service was excellent and I'll definitely be back to order more. Thank you very much!

Anthony Tierney and Four Courts Press deserve a 5-star review for service, quality and variety of academic publications available and for their professionalism and prompt delivery, environmentally sustainable packaging and the thought and attention to detail that goes into processing each order and communicating with purchasers. Highly recommended as a supplier of excellent academic publications on a wide-range of subjects, and for the quality of service.

AS I unwrapped my recent book purchase from Four Courts Press, I had the feeling it had been carefully handled and securely packaged. Service is very efficient with a personal touch. To discover a bar of chocolate was an added bonus! Definitely a publisher apart. A joy with whom to do business.

The perfect combination: brilliant books, and an excellent experience buying them online. I've now ordered a number of times from Four Courts, and I've never been less than delighted by the quality of the books and the ease of ordering them. But with the latest book I ordered, Anthony of Four Courts went above and beyond: along with a beautifully produced festschrift for John Waddell, People, Prehistory and Past (do buy it!) there was a bar of chocolate in the packaging. Another perfect combination!

Quick friendly and professional, I highly recommend Four Courts Press.

I’ve purchased several times directly from Four Courts Press, who are wonderful to deal with. They have been very efficient and helpful on each occasion, prices are fair, packaging secure and postage is prompt. Last week I received a lovely surprise of complimentary chocolate with a book I had ordered the previous day. They should be very proud of themselves for providing a wonderful service, I certainly will deal with them again. 📚

Quality production and wonderful, personal customer service directly from an independent academic publisher. On the recommendation of a colleague, I ordered Caricature and the Irish by Nicholas Robinson. The book is beautifully produced and the contents a must for my own research and curatorial focus. I have signed up for the Four Courts Press mailing list.

I was seaarching for a special book and came across the possibility to buy it from Four Courts Press. Anthony was kindly informing me about the status of my order and when the book arrived, I got a small present alongside the book - a tasty chocolate :-)
I highly recommend them!

I purchased a book from Four Courts Press. The service was excellent and the book arrived very quickly. Would highly recommend them.

I purchased a book from Four Courts. The printed copies apparently arrived at Dublin a little earlier than expected, and Anthony Tierney immediately put one in the mail to me in the USA, so I received it more than a month before I expected to. It was a thoughtful thing to do, much beyond the ordinary range of customer care.

i have been wanting a copy of this great book for a long time and i am so happy to have got one it is a very useful book and helps to further trace other information about the members concerned with their service numbers.very pleased

I ordered Jim Herlihy's book on The RIC and it arrived prompt with a lovely bar of milk chocolate. There was a special offer if ordered before a certain date, but I missed that date due to the recent storm. But Four Courts Press recognised that and refunded me Euro15 without any prompting..a lovely gesture from Anthony.

Excellent service fast dispatch /delivery/ packaging fully recommend

Exceptional Customer Service!

I ordered this book as soon as I heard it was being reproduced in late 2024. It is a very handy referral book for genealogy in particular and great if you have had a member of your family in this organisation. I received an email from Anthony Tierney of Fourcourtspress before Christmas apologising for a delay in producing the book. It needed to be scanned outside of Ireland to achieve a top quality finished book as it was being reproduced from an older book. It is obvious that Fourcourtspress have extremely high standards. This process was going to cost more however unlike most businesses Fourcourtspress were not going to pass on this extra cost to it's customers. What fantastic customer service - You would not find a more honest and customer focused company anywhere. I have the utmost praise for Fourcoutspress and I will certainly purchase more books from this amazing company in the future. Highly recommend them and in particular Anthony Tierney. Thanks so much.
