Excellent service from start to finish very happy

I have been with Fresh Solar for almost 4 years now. The journey is what i can summarise in 2 words "Simply Lovely".
Sales/Installation:It all started with a sales person (contractor) who tried to sell what he felt was right for him, but with talking to the Engineering head and Head of company, we stuck a good deal with few solar panels and Givenergy Battery System. I have not had any issues with scaffolding installation and removal like how others have quoted. It was a smooth sail, installation team came in and did a very clean work and very professional.
Few months after installation, I reached out to support team for increasing battery capacity and my experience with Support, Dan in specific, got a very economical quote and the second installation went very smooth. There was a small glitch in terms of wrong connecting cable, but the tech chap kept us informed and got the right one procurred in 2 days time.
The biggest highlight for me is when I got a 3rd party EV charger installation through Octopus done, they complained of solar installation cable obstructing path to route the cable, it was just a quick phone call to support explaining the situation and Dan accommodated the necessary tasks by fitting in my work in a tight schedule just to ensure octopus guys could do their installation. I am really greatful for this to be done in the offer window else I would have ended up paying higher price for the charger.
The next one being when Givenergy went bust, i am still running the batteries and inverter just with the help of Fresh solar support. In the current volatile market, lessons learnt is you just don't buy, you invest in the the after sales and support which play in a vital role in a investment which should last a decade.

Tony the surveyor/salesman explained things clearly and didn't over estimate what we could expect. He was also very helpful sorting out a problem with the scaffolding at the rear of the house. The installation was done in a day and we have used very little electric from the grid since, proberly due to having a 12kw battery. The scaffolding was up for nearly 4 weeks,but we were told to expect it to be up for a while. It has even provided enough electricity to charge our car (it is sat on our drive a lot as we are retired).

Great service from end to end. Really knowledgeable fitters who did a super job, incredibly neat and to time.

David visited and quoted for our system, he is fantastic and very knowledgeable, a great person to have as the outward facing member of the team.
We waited around 6 weeks for install which unfortunately had to take 2 days rather than 1 as the electrician called in sick but Fresh sorted someone to attend the next day which was great.
Waited 3 weeks for the relevant certificates to come through but all seems to be working well now.
Only complaint is regarding the scaffolders which I appreciate is outsourced but they made quite a mess of the lawn dropping the scaffolding poles directly on to it taking chunks out of it which I addressed directly with the scaffolding company.
I would recommend this company.

The sales and installation stages were handled well and completed on schedule. However, the post-installation support has been virtually non-existent. Despite the system being installed nearly five months ago, I have still not received the DNO certificate required to export electricity. Consequently, the energy generated during the sunny summer of 2026 has largely gone to waste. Following a series of excuses, the company has ceased responding to my emails and calls. This level of customer service is unacceptable and has significantly undermined an otherwise positive installation experience.

They were there from start to finish. I have had of other companies not issuing documents needed but Fresh done and issued all smoothly. Install guys were amazing. The Sales person even followed up afterwards 5* from me

What a great team at Fresh Solar. Dave King was so patient with us when designing the system and providing a quote. Beth Taylor the Admin Manager I communicated with was on the ball and very helpful with any query I had, providing clear, prompt and precise responses. When the installations engineers arrived they again provided an excellent service explaining what they were doing and setting up the apps for the system.
Full marks to all at Fresh Solar - I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Sales/Survey Guy was excellent. It’s a shame that the others didn’t follow. Installers unreliable and very messy and didn’t clear up after themselves. Scaffolding company awful. Damaged our satellite dish and had to pay to get it fixed. Overall, yes we have the solar panels etc but would I recommend this company. No! There are better around.

Ordered solar and battery via Costco. Installed within 4 weeks on agreed date. Installation completed to great standard by personable and professional guys, kept informed and all certs now received to enable outgoing tariffs

Apparently they give vouchers to 5 star reviews... so take those with a pinch of salt.

What a disaster of a company. Stay as far away as possible. Sales people are very convincing.

- Quoted for 14 panels. They couldn't actually get 14 on (I understand that its challenging to guess) - but then still sent an invoice for 14 panels.
- Very poor communication
- Told scaffolders the wrong information so the scaffolding was wrong and they couldn't do the job. Had to wait weeks for the job to actually be completed
- No removal of scaffolding. Just sitting there weeks later.

Avoid this solar company, there's plenty others.

When the installers came out, they discovered that they couldn’t quite fit all of the panels they had planned for (minor annoyance, but wasn’t a big deal).
However, the scaffolding that they said would be up for approximately 2-3 weeks is still there a few weeks after, with no communication from them as to when it will be removed. I’ve even sent them notice of myself being an involuntary bailee, with a deadline this week after which I will begin looking for a buyer for said scaffolding. Still no response from the company. Very unprofessional.

Edit: contact was through the exact channels that they had previously instructed me to use. It is not my issue if their departments do not communicate with each other.

Fab experience end-to-end. Leo visited to talk us through the idea, no pressure, all very simply laid-out. Communication was clear, everything was done when they said it would be, and what's best of all is that we can see on the app how much we are already off-setting our carbon footprint! I can't recommend them, and especially Leo, enough

Decided to use Fresh Solar through costco. Steve, the engineer doing the layout on my roof was great, but things went downhill from then on. Delays for installation. One missed day and they came 3 separare occasions to install everything. Equipment itself is excellent. 9 months later, decided to install ev charger. Cannot get hold of anyone for support.

Excuses include my emails were going to spam, admin email address is unmanned (if so, how do they deal with queries?) My emails were sent to 3 different people, so all 3 went to spam apparantly, but as soon i sent a complaint and ask for compensation, response was immediate, didnt go to spam....also being told that i should have gone to the manufacturer of the equipment. They basically ignored my request for help.

Luckily, after hours and hours of scouring the Internet I found the solution, which would have taken Fresh Solar 2 mins to give me.

UPDATE: Fresh solar still do not acknowledge lack of support. I fail to see how all my emails to 3 different people can all go to spam. My first email had a response, they should have been able to help from the very first one as it had all the details necessary for simple instructions on how to fix issue. I spent time and money on unnecessary resources to try and fix this problem due to lack of support.

Update 2: after reflecting on my experience, I have changed from 1 star to 3. Although my experience with ongoing support was non-existent, the hardware itself is amazing and Fresh Solar used quality products on my install.

I have been trying to contact Fresh solar for some support for more than a month. We bought a house with one of their installations already in place, but the account was bound to the previous owners. I have requested that it be reset to us, but only half of that has happened. I have tried calling them on multiple occasions, on every different option, and literally no one has answered the phone. This should be an easy solution, but with contact only by email, and delays in answering emails its very frustrating. I want to be able to control how much goes to the grid and how much goes to our batteries, but its currently impossible until they have reset everything. I have edited, as Dan on support has now got back to me and we are resolving the issues.

Recommended by a friend and delighted with the service. Every step was timely, efficient and good communication. Roy Rodrigues our initial contact was able to answer all my questions and provide information and guidance on the systems available and what would best suit my needs plus his ongoing support is reassuring. Solar panels and battery from installation to being able to export to the grid took 1 month which is very speedy and a good indication of efficiency of this company. Products installed are of excellent quality and meet my needs. I appreciated the discussion with the installer on the day about exact placement of equipment and importantly they were efficient and professional. The finished product looks neat and tidy with wiring cleverly hidden under roof tiles or neatly in ducting which is thoughtfully placed. I feel confident in recommending this company to others.

The representative Roy Rodriguez came to us to give an estimate with a very detailed account of what we were getting and what we could expect from the system and answered every question with a non biased opinion. Installed 3 years ago.
With these details we decided to pay with finance as we would pay for panels and not power, this works really well when the sun is out with very low power bills.
Roy's after sales service is exceptional with any queries answered by him or the company.
An extremely professional approach from all members of the company and would highly recommend to anybody thinking of installation.
Even after 3 years we still get continued support with the associated app.

Met Roy Rodrigues from Fresh Electrical solar and found him to be very knowledgeable and helpful, he had some excellent advice and great ideas where to have the panels placed and how it would work etc.
Roy kept us informed every step of the way and the work carried out was done to a very high standard.
I would definitely recommend this company and Roy to anyone.

We are now looking at having another battery fitted.
