The website has a nice design, but a lot of flaws

The website has a nice design and banners, but unfortunately it´s old and not so modern, some things are unclear (for example i still get confused where are DMs).

Another thing is adult content. Like a lot of adult content. Yes, they added a trigger for it, but it happens that on main Browse page shows adult content rated as General. Admins do not even care about users that complain about plenty of weird fetishes and adult content. There was also non-furry four legged animal in 3D that was visible for adult audiences, but admins were like: oh, but this is not in our rules and we accept +18! - and this is how it ended.

I think that FurAffinity has to be more modern with better admins that at least care for the users, especially when plenty of adult content ruin the whole furry fandom´s reputation or remove completely all adult content in FurAffinity, because there are kids and they might not want to see what kind of weird stuff some furries have. And even some adults are uncomfortable with it, gross.

I think that I wouldn´t recommend FurAffinity (reasons above) and if you hate furry adult content, then I think it´s better to move somewhere else, to safe space, such as Instagram or r/furry on reddit.

This website's moderation team is pathetic and petty.

This website's moderation team is pathetic and petty. They have steered the biggest furry website away from being about FURRIES and made it all about LGBT and hard left radical liberalism.

There are multiple disasterous events that have taken place over the course of furaffinity's lifetime that NO PLATFORM SHOULD ALLOW. From Hacks, to Dataleaks, to Harassment and passwords being stolen. Artwork is stolen and no one gives a crap. As long as the person in the wrong was a liberal they come up with any rules or change them on a whim.

If you're "too good" at drawing art, a bunch of lousy scumbags who can't draw a common muzzle say you're using AI and mass report your art out of spite and jealousy, and the moderation team sides with the accuser unilaterally. Evidence doesn't matter to them. There is no due process. You're just permabanned. The TOS Strike system is just a suggestion to them, not a standard.

They allow harassment for any "liberal" reason specifically, and call anyone who draws pokemon pedophiles openly. You can't really delete comments either, and the "community" has had all of the life pulled out of it due to moderators extorting big creators they don't like. The mods can do anything; justice be damned, and your gallery along with it. When they aren't hate watching you, they're false flagging and mobbing artist they don't like, and the mods do nothing about it.

Some creators get shadowbanned for no reason. Others who committed ACTUAL CRIMES are allowed to stay on. If you threaten legal action for the many dubious crimes committed on this site, such as creators Grooming minors (posting fetish art in the 13+/general tab) or scamming people, you are the one that gets banned.

The entire community is a bunch of yesmen who never hold the moderators accountable because they could be banned. You're better off going to deviantart. At least there you won't be banned because someone 'thinks' you used AI just because you're a good artist.

This is the WORST Furry Site, and you must avoid it. It is NOT SAFE

The website is so scummy that they made this review page to hide the 1.2 score on the original one review page that existed before this one.

Furaffinity has now existed for over 20 years. You'd think that's more than enough time for anyone to get their crap together. That's not what the people running the website care about. From the moment you sign up, the contract makes you waive the legal right to sue them, and trust me, you DON'T want that, because the platform is dodgy, and literal pdf files have used it, alongside multiple scammers. It also gets hacked VERY often, so never put any private information on it EVER.

There are many suspect individuals and numerous criminals have been on the website for a long stretch. Content is unmoderated and users are often harassed or permabanned by the moderation team. Many users left years ago because the staff went crazy with their power and banned people for things not even listed in the terms of service. Not only did they ban them, the moderation team then tells them by email "no moderators are to EVER respond to you on any platform or by email". They did this to me, after 9 years on the platform. All because I posted 2 pieces of partial AI (which they allowed at one point; the hypocrites).

The SFW side of the site was intended for 13 years and up, BUT the moderators are hypocrites, so they let all kinds of kinks and fetish art permeate the site. There's so much of it that you can't even block it. Why? Because after 20 years of operation, the moderators STILL REFUSE TO MAKE TAGGING MANDATORY. So lets say that an artist draws the nastiest diaper art and forgets to tag it. Scat and all. If you look up certain pokemon, they WILL be rendered in very sensual fashion. Anything that has "paws" or a butt is hyper exaggerated and has extra focus on it in the general search. They don't even try to block some types of vore.

ANY search you put in will pull up those same erotic art pieces until it is so old that you can't find it, but since the platform has multiple niches, there are somethings you cannot look up without that art showing up regardless. Same goes for any other disturbing kinks and formerly cub art (they allowed) on the platform. If you report any art to the moderators, they will blow you off and permaban you if you try to explain anything; Even if the art piece removed was yours.

Ever notice how there are so few reviews in spite of there allegedly being 1 million users on furaffinity? That's because the moderators run a SUPPRESSION RING by holding your art gallery and favorites hostage behind signing in. If you say anything they don't like on other platforms (very easy on the internet because they're snowflakes), they can, and WILL ban you for any reason. They DO. NOT. CARE. Your gallery will be GONE with no warning!

They never update the tagging system.
They force icons to be a pixel perfect 100x100 pixels, which is obtuse, and they shadow ban anyone they don't like. I was one such user, as one of my art pieces had over 13000 viewers, and the next ones after only had 2000 in spite of me drawing more popular characters. The shadowban was NEVER REMOVED. I posted the same content to youtube. It reached over 250,000 views. I EXPLODED from 600 subs to over 1k with almost no effort. The mods hate me because I threatened to sue them for that stunt, and to this day they are still banning people left and right like this.

Then there are the people they DON'T ban, in spite of being absolute pieces of garbage. One of which was Jasonafex, who allegedly groomed a minor on their platform and went unbanned the whole time, until the whole community was in a fit. They never fire the problematic moderators that screw people over for fun either.

Then there's the MASS BANS. These satanic panic sessions are where the moderators don't get their daily injection of reddit moderation, so they just pass anything, and I mean ANYTHING through the terms of service to ban people. Suddenly, everyone drawing pokemon was at risk of being banned if they did it in "chibi style", because the moderators dubbed it pedophilia. There was the time that all the big content creators were getting harassed and the moderators didn't resolve that. Then there was the time with me getting harassed off their platform and they didn't punish the people behind it.

The ugly truth is that furaffinity is the worst platform for furries and refuses to ever change for the better. What does it say that Dragoneer (the last owner) DIED before they added the ability to change names, or add banners, or that they secretly sold the website to IMVU and told no one about it years ago? The people in charge of this website are 90% of why everyone thinks furries are bad people, because Furaffinity operates as the DeFacto website, and they refuse to fix ANYTHING.

You're better off using Deviantart.
