Reported fault within 6 months – furniture collapsed within 9 months
I purchased a chest of drawers from Furniture Next Day and the quality was extremely poor. Within six months of purchase the drawers were no longer functioning properly and the unit was already starting to fall apart, so I contacted the company to raise the issue.
Despite reporting the problem early, the company refused to take responsibility or provide a solution.
The situation only got worse and by March 2026 – around 9 months after purchase – the entire chest of drawers collapsed and had to be dumped because it was no longer usable.
A piece of furniture like this should last years, not months. The product was clearly not fit for purpose.
I attempted to pursue the matter through the Irish small claims process, but because the company is based in Northern Ireland the case could not proceed there. Despite this, the company still refused to engage or resolve the complaint.
The most disappointing part of this experience has been the lack of accountability and customer support. When a product fails this quickly, a responsible retailer should stand behind what they sell.
I would still welcome the opportunity for the company to resolve this matter properly and stand behind the products they sell.

It's ok. But not as advertised. I ordered early in the day and did not expect to get it the next day, and I didn't. I didn't get a reply for two days then was told it would come in a few days. Then they sent it earlier without telling me. I guess I don't like the deception. Change your name to furniture in 4 days
