The travel consultant (Elizabeth)…
The travel consultant (Elizabeth) through this company was very reactive vs. pro active. I had to reach out to her to gain more information about the trip, once a deposit was made. Before final payment was due, I didn’t receive a reminder and realized I was almost late for paying balance. I tried to reach Elizabeth, then was told she was on vacation, and finally someone else helped with payment, though had to expedite the payment. I had to reach back out to her about receiving final information for trip, she then told me the delay was due to not having husband’s updated passport, though she didn’t reach out in advance as a reminder, that this information was needed.

Loved the yacht (Angel)
Loved the yacht (Angel), loved the hotel in Santa Cruz. Loved Isabella island. Not so in love with hotel in Quito or hotel on Isabela --cleanliness not up to par, though one in Quito was charming. Did not need tunnel tour w snorkeling on last day in Isabela. Had plenty of better snorkling on yacht with much better crew/safety (though the lunch -- tuna -- was terrific). As far as Isabela, would've liked better guidance. We almost didn't bike alongside the beach through Parque Nationale Galapagos, which would've been a big miss. We were simply told bikes were rented for us. We got no biking direction from our hotel or from the bike rental place (where no one spoke any English). We were told bike rentals from 9 to noon, but they let us have them until 6 pm, which was necessary and very nice.

We also appreciate your comments regarding the hotels and some of the land-based experiences. Galapagos offers different styles of travel between islands and between cruise and hotel operations, especially in more remote islands such as Isabela, where infrastructure and services are naturally more rustic compared to Santa Cruz or to the onboard experience of a yacht.
Regarding the biking experience, this activity was included as a flexible way to explore Isabela at your own pace. Assistance was available to accompany you to the rental location and provide guidance, although we understand you preferred to explore more independently. Since these are local services on a remote island, English-speaking assistance can sometimes be limited, but we’re very glad you were still able to enjoy the experience.
Thank you for mentioning the cleanliness concerns at the hotels. We have already shared your feedback directly with the corresponding properties for their review and improvement.

Brilliant from start to finish
We used Galápagos travel for a 6 day trip to Galapagos and a one day to Mindo in Ecuador. They are a caring company who really seem to want to help you have the best time.
Isabella, our guide in Galapagos was very knowledgeable and interesting telling us about the island’s history as well as the excursions we did. (Scuba diving with Iguana Diving), island trips as well as lots on Puerta Ayora, our base.
In Ecuador Giovanni took us on a stunning trip to Mindo cloud forest, stopping to see hummingbirds up close on the way. Absolutely superb, it was a private trip and took from 08.00 to 18.00 as he didn’t rush us at all. We learnt the reason that we saw so few birds in the forest was because they are only evident early morning, but the waterfall walk was just beautiful.
I would recommend this company 100% for their care, response, quality of contracted third parties and overall professionalism.

One of best trips ever
We were very pleased with the attention paid by the company to any questions and needs we might have had. Katie Beckwith was our agent and always responded to our inquiries in a very timely manner and provided the answers we needed. The guides we had on every leg of our tour were very knowledgeable and provided a great experience. All in all, it was one of our best trips ever.

Very good communication! Very good Naturalists who answered questions. They wanted us to learn about the animals.

Seamless multi destination trip
We worked with Galapagos Travel Center to organize a Galapagos cruise with extensions to the Amazon and Cusco (Machu Picchu). It was our first experience with a full-service travel agent, and it was a very good one. Lorena put together a trip that exactly fit our interests and needs.
All the connections and transfers worked seamlessly. The hotels booked were excellent and the drivers and vehicles superior. We highly recommend the Galapagos travel center.

Our recent journey to the Galápagos Islands and Machu Picchu was truly exceptional—one of the best trips we’ve experienced in 45 years of traveling.
From the very beginning, Katie, our trip coordinator, planned a seamless and perfectly balanced itinerary. She was consistently accessible, responsive, and thoughtful in every detail, which made the entire experience feel effortless.
In the Galápagos, every aspect exceeded expectations. The naturalists and guides were outstanding, and all drivers and transfers were punctual and smooth. Our 4-day cruise aboard the Calipso was a highlight in itself. With a crew of 10, the service felt first-class at every turn. Philippe, our naturalist, went above and beyond—his expertise and enthusiasm created unforgettable snorkeling experiences that were, without question, the highlight of the trip.
In Peru, Miluska guided us through the Sacred Valley with remarkable knowledge and insight, bringing the history and culture to life in a meaningful way. Patricia, our guide in Machu Picchu took extra time with us answering all of our many questions.
Now that we’re home, sorting through photos and reflecting on the experience, we can confidently say this was one of the most memorable and well-executed trips we’ve ever taken. Every detail was handled beautifully, allowing us to fully enjoy each moment.

Excellent!
Excellent staff, good boat (Alya) and overall a great experience.
The staff were attentive, helpful, informative. The small environment (15 passengers + 14 crew) was ideal for the vessel (the rooms were larger than many cruise liners we have been on) .
At the margin we should have done more research on the itinerary as we would have liked to see turtles in the wild (schedules took priority) but got to see them in captivity.

Lorena promptly and patiently answered every question we had! The cruise was a wonderful experience, and we had all the info we needed in advance. They even notified us when an airport closure would impact our our flight (before the airline notified us). I'd highly recommend booking through this company!

Good budget cruise experience
Cruise was excellent - friendly staff and knowledgeable guide. Great food and comfortable cabin with ac and good shower. A good variety of activities. Having to pay for snorkel equipment hire and bus ride from airport seemed unnecessary given how much this cruise costs!
Travel agency were helpful and sorted everything out but there was a little delay at times. Overall though would recommend.

A perfect trip organised perfectly.
What more could you ask of a travel advisor? Gabriela gave us good suggestions and advice. She was prompt and friendly in all our communications, never showed frustration with our dithering or weird requests, bless her.
The printed itinerary was great, travel hints were really good, all our connections worked and there was always a friendly person there to collect us as promised.
The tours Gabriela suggested in the Amazon (Sani Lodge) and Galapagos (Treasure of Galapagos) way exceeded our expectations.
And when illness intervened at one stage, Gabriela was there to support and give advice.
I do not hesitate in suggesting Gabriela and GTC as Ecuadorian tour advisors.
