Excellent experience with Gascoigne Halman who sold our house for us. Highly efficient, communicative and very helpful advice all the way through. I met Markus Jolleys initially for the valuation who took care and time in forming his opinion and explaining the valuation, market, strategy and overall process. I subsequently dealt mostly with James Coppock in the Wilmslow office who was extremely helpful, always available and very responsive, conscientiously tracking progress of all parties throughout the sale process to ensure everything stayed on course for completion. I highly recommend Gascoigne Halman, Markus and James on the basis of my experience.

Told the woman named Susan that I would be a student working in my holidays off uni whilst getting a mortgage. Been lead on to sign a lifetime fee of 600 pound to use there advice for the next 6 month for unlimited advice. Now being told she didn't know I was a student when I have clear evidence on my side I told her. Lawsuit imenent. This firm will lie to get money Out of you. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, GO EPSEWHERE.

Everyone tells you how stressful house moving is but for me Gascoigns in Poynton completely took control of then situation for me and totally took the stress out for me! I can’t recommend them highly enough! I’ve bought and sold with lots of different agents over the years and Gascoigns in Poynton are the only agents I’d recommend on and use again. My house move journey has by no means been straight forward either but Jo Owen Nicole and Alison completely took control of the situation for me and even supported me with my onward purchase through a different agent. Jo even contacted me on her days off to support me through the process so it’s no surprise she’s created such a winning team!

Awful service from Gascoigne Halman in Poynton. We were buying a house through them, and were significantly misled over the severity of a flooding incident. We were sent photos that deliberately downplayed the incident, and were also told incorrect information over the phone about which rooms flooded.
We were so concerned about the incident and that we did our own research into the local area to find out how bad it was on other roads nearby. We then recieved a phone call from Joanne, the Poynton branch manager, having a go at us for doing our own research, and claiming we should just trust what them and the sellers were telling us. She accused us of questioning their characters. It was highly unprofessional and insulting.
When we advised Gascoigne Halman that due to this we couldn't proceed with the purchase, they never even acknowledged the fact, or any of the correspondence we had had.
Just never heard from them again.

Great service from prompt and effective marketing at a good price through to highly professional process management when the chain got somewhat frustrated towards the end. Have used them before and will use them again. Thanks to Markus and Lucy.

We recently sold our house through Gascoigne Halman in Wilmslow. The whole team provided a well joined-up service at all levels.
Whilst the conveyancing process proved to be tortuous Gascoigne Halman provided great support, with a special shout out for Lucy who proactively worked closely with all parties to help to drive the transaction to completion.
Highly recommended.

I have used seven or eight estate agents in the area and I have to commend Peter Gregg and Amanda Titterton at the Chapel-en-le-Frith office as the best in the region. Pete and Amanda dealt with my sale with efficiency, politeness, discretion and friendliness in the face of some considerable difficulties. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Our dealings with James at Wilmslow Branch of Gascoigne Halman was excellent. In particular the communication was both regular and informative as it kept us up to date with developments at all times.
James went the extra mile on completion by bringing the keys to us as our move a relocation.

They say moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do in life and whilst this was definitely true for us, our experience was made less stressful by dealing with Lucy at the Wilmslow branch. Her professionalism was second to none. The purchase nearly fell through on a couple of occasions but Lucy really went to bat for us going over and above to ensure the purchase went ahead. The after sales service received was also fantastic. I can't recommend Gascoigne Halman enough and especially Lucy.

We sold our house through Gasgoine Halman, Wilmslow. They were extremely professional and attentive to all requests. From the individuals who showed our house to prospective purchasers, through to the office staff, particularly thanks to James Coppock and Markus Jolleys, we felt like they really looked after us and everyone at the branch was up to speed on how the sale was progressing. Really impressed and would recommend to anyone thinking of selling their house.

I have dealt with Gascoigne Halman for a few house sales/purchases and I always find them professional and friendly to deal with. They are happy to help provide advice when requested, and have always managed to find a sale for me at the price I wanted.

Both myself and my parents sold our properties through Gascoigne, looked after by James Coppock and the team. As always fantastic support and delivery along with a very honest approch to ensure we as sellers and for myself also a purchaser of another property through James a simple and effective service. We were delighted with Gascoigne Halman’s service, when buying a property through them. They always went over and above. In fact I think our purchase might have fallen through but they kept it all on the rails. We will sell our house with them if we ever move. Dominic is fantastic. He always knew everything about the chain, and did loads to keep it all moving forward.

Absolutely fantastic experience with Lucy and the rest of the Wilmslow team. We chose to buy and sell with Gascoigne Halman and the whole process was a breeze. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Frances Mason used our family to pump up other offers for the seller. She confirmed after a long and arduous process we'd had our offer accepted. She then encouraged the vendor and buyers carry on viewings in our opinion to gazump us. She knowing didn't send out a memorandum of sale to us for 5 days whilst getting other parties to outbid us. After we paid for searches etc Frances informed us someone had come in with another bid.......from there played us off as an auction for bidding. Then told us we didn't get the house. The next day it was put as STC for the other buyer. Something she refused to do for us in 5 days. She openly admitted on the phone she knew of another bid hence when she didn't do the memorandum of sale.

She let us pay for searches while using us a pawn. It was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with any kind of company. There was no remorse and I don't know how she sleeps at night for a little but extra of commission.

Openly trying to get improved offers and more viewing whilst sending us acceptance confirmation and letting us pay fees is a very very underhanded trick.

Really good service from Dan in sale brunch. I was in sales all my life when you see a good honest person it’s very nice to deal with. Julie the manager was very helpful as well . Thanks Again.

I would be very wary of letting these guys manage the rental of anything! Purchased a property via gascoigne and Halman, that has previously been tenanted (managed by gascoigne and halman), and it’s been a horrible experience. When we viewed the property it was filthy, so offered full asking on the agreement it be professionally cleaned. When we moved in, not only was it still dirty but we quickly discovered it had a serious flea infestation! When I flagged the flea issue to the chapel offIce they were helpful and did try to arrange pest control, but it was ineffective and 8 weeks on we still Have issues- the pest control guy thought the issue must have been untreated for many many months as the infestation was so bad! I don’t know what kind of checks they do on tenants, or how regularly they inspect their properties, but allowing a lovely new house to become absolutely infested under their management absolutely amazes me. Be very wary if you are considering them as rental agents.

Review re: Sale branch. We've just bought our first house, with GH as the agent. We had to deal with lots of companies and individuals throughout the process - very few were as helpful as the team in the Sale branch. They were really helpful from the first viewing to completion, especially during a period when we were finding it difficult to motivate both sets of solicitors.
