I attended Watford General Hospital for ophthalmology care

I attended Watford General Hospital for my R2 diabetic retinopathy appointment and was seen by Dr Virinder Dhillon. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.
The consultation felt rushed and lacking in empathy. As someone living with Type 1 diabetes and now facing eye complications, I was understandably anxious and had important questions about my condition and future risks. When I asked whether early laser treatment at R2 stage could help prevent progression, I was told that no comment could be made. I left without clear answers or reassurance. More she said we shall wait it to progress to R3 later for any treatment to start I mean how unprofessional.
I also felt uncomfortable with the overall communication style during the appointment. Sensitive health concerns require compassion and patient-centered discussion, and sadly that was missing. Instead of feeling supported, I left feeling more stressed about my eyesight.
I respect the pressures within the NHS, but patients deserve to feel heard, informed, and treated with empathy especially when facing potential sight-threatening conditions.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and helps improve future patient care.

Gone down the nick uncaring

Used to go across the road for my eyes tested.just got letter I now have to go down town to what used to be a shop in the Alhambra centre never been and not looking forward to it..I can hardly walk pains in legs numb feet Barnsley hospital really no how to make Life harder I hate it no help or understanding of the patients as long as they are comfortable disgusting

VERY POOR CARE

The CEO gets a £260.000 salary & the Hospital is a MESS. Failed on the Government Inspection & Review, Patient waiting lists as long as your arm, cuing in A&E 6 - 8 hrs, people in corridors.
How can they JUSTIFY an Ex MID-WIFE this post of POWER, & only works 9-1700hrs 5 days a week
The CEO is NOT CONTACTABLE [OBVIOUSLY HER SECRETARY]. Not even a e-mail address

They make me full out a form for the…

They make me full out a form for the menu of my diet day to day. The kitchen doesn't send out the right meals and the doctors and nurses and orderlies say they have no control over the diet.
They would rather see patients starve instead of eating properly every day.

I was there 2 weeks ago with a bad…

I was there 2 weeks ago with a bad kidney storm pain they put the tube inside and they told me to come seven weeks later week after I was losing so much blood. I’ll go back in there and they told me nothing wrong. You need to come back in five weeks time. I told them I’m in very bad pain and they told me to take 12 paracetamol and ibuprofen and come back on the five weeks time nothing is done not happy

As a fan of general hospital since my…

As a fan of general hospital since my teens I have seen many comings and goings. And it's easy to see 👀 good chemistry. So I must comment on the jack Brennan and Carly chemistry, which is amazing and can't look away jaw dropping. The character himself exudes the look, charm,and charisma to make it work and makes it strong/ unstoppable and impossible to look away but this new actor that is replacing him to play jack doesn't have that look, charm or same charisma and is not doing justice to the character that the first actor created. It's like trying to replace tony Geary as Luke 👏 hard to do. I hope this isn't the final replacement for jack if the original jack Brennan is not coming back 😕

Maidstone hospitals excellent team

I attended Maidstone hospital on 22nd July for a wrist operation and arrived in time but had to wait four hours before I was taken to the anaesthetics room, which isn’t very acceptable but also isn’t what this review is about.
Once I was taken to the anaesthetics room, I was introduced to an excellent anaesthetics team who was very friendly and efficient.
Once they had completed the block anaesthetic on my arm, I was taken through to theatre…. Once here, my operation was successfully completed by a most excellent surgeon by the name of Mr Sehjal.
This review is to offer thanks and appreciation to such an excellent team who worked so well, put me at ease throughout and completed the difficult tasks of the day so well.

Professional Care

I had the pleasure of visiting the Hospital 🏥 on 22nd July for a preop assessment and I was really impressed with the Angles who provide such a great care professional service lovely personality right across the board well done to the entire preop team starting with Receptionists and right through to the nurses etc really high standards in care and efficiency very clean comfortable and warm surroundings Thank you Michael Ryan 😀

DISGUSTING!

This is where this country is at., my wife's operation cancelled at 5.09pm and told will do our best to offer you a new date and if condition gets worse to contact you GP. Absolute disgrace and also told are younger than other patients so less likely to die but if want to pay £10k then I will do privately. This surgeon is only interested in money and I'd like to get him struck off the NHS register. This hospital is appalling and I hope I never get ill and have to go here. I will find the name of this surgeon and make an official complaint as don't really want him operating on my wife anyway and I will pay for her to go private and trust me will not be him that does the procedure. He should be ashamed of himself!

I rang 111 and was told to attend…

I rang 111 and was told to attend Barnsley General hospital because I was in massive pain in my stomach and I got there at 8pm and I didn't get to see a doctor until 4-30am and he told me I needed to be admitted because it sounded like appendicitis so they took me to a ward and I was there a few more hours before the doctor came and I was still in chronic pain and never offered any pain relief so the doctor just pressed on my stomach and said i don't think it's appendicitis so you can go home and buy some pain killers over the counter. I am still in lots of pain
