The website is terrible. You would think a company that routinely collaborates with big name artists would be able to run a website but apparently not. It refreshes every 5 seconds, ads cover a large portion of the screen, when I click on an annotation the page jumps to another section of the lyrics. I hoped it would run better with an ad blocker but no it didn’t help at all. Moderation is a whole other problem. For a site that’s main feature is providing community annotations for lyrics, it feels impossible to actually be able to do that.

Genius is the go-to place for reliable information about almost any track. You’ll find lyrics, annotations, background context, and references there. There’s nothing comparable at this scale.

Artists and fans contribute annotations that add a unique layer of insight. For anyone who appreciates music beyond just listening, Genius is an obvious first stop.

I’m not sure what the complaints are about. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

What Works :
The core idea is solid — crowdsourced annotations on song lyrics, poetry, news, and documents lets users explain subtleties like samples, interpolations, references, wordplay, and rhyme schemes.
The verified artist feature is genuinely useful; Nas was the first verified artist and used it to post explanations of his own lyrics and comment on other rappers he admired.
That's legitimately valuable.
The crowd-sourced annotations are pretty high quality — people know a lot about their favorite artists and their references, and are proud to display knowledge through the IQ score system.

The problems:
Zero monetization strategy. Genius doesn't generate significant revenue and has no ads, unlike competitors like AZlyrics and Metrolyrics.

Lyric dependency. Lyrics continue to remain the major source for the site's 3-4MM monthly unique visitors.

They haven't successfully diversified. Poetry and news annotations exist but feel secondary.
Community trust issues. There's documented friction with how they treat editors and moderators — the site relies heavily on unpaid contributors who essentially run the platform, but compensation and communication have been problems.

Search visibility struggles. Google now shows lyrics directly in search results. Genius has to convince people to click through rather than just reading what Google surfaces.
News Genius failed. The News Genius platform was controversial because it allowed annotations to be added to websites without the webmaster's consent, and as of 2023, the website hasn't been updated since 2016.

Bottom line: Genius is a genuinely cool platform with real cultural impact, but it's stuck between being a community project and a business. The core annotation experience is good, especially for music, but they've never figured out how to scale beyond lyrics or make money without compromising the vibe. It's a museum piece that works — just not a growth story.

Ich habe den Invictus X8 von Genius gekauft am 11. 2023. Leider war meine Erfahrung sehr enttäuschend.

Nach ungefähr einem Jahr trat ein deutlicher Mangel auf: Der Staubsauger hat eine sehr schwache Saugleistung, kleine Partikel und Staub bleiben auf dem Boden liegen, und beim Zurückziehen oder beim Ausschalten spuckt das Gerät sogar einen Teil des Staubes wieder aus.

Der Hersteller hat das Gerät zwar einmal ersetzt. Allerdings trat beim Austauschgerät nach etwa einem Jahr exakt das gleiche Problem wieder auf. Das deutet aus meiner Sicht auf ein grundlegendes Qualitäts- oder Konstruktionsproblem hin.

Besonders enttäuschend ist jedoch der Kundenservice. Anstatt eine faire Lösung anzubieten, verweist der Hersteller lediglich darauf, dass seit dem Erstkauf mehr als 24 Monate vergangen sind, und lehnt jede weitere Unterstützung ab.

Für ein Gerät in dieser Preisklasse ist es nicht akzeptabel, dass der gleiche Defekt nach relativ kurzer Zeit erneut auftritt und der Kundenservice keinerlei Kulanz zeigt.

Aus diesen Gründen kann ich dieses Produkt leider nicht empfehlen.

Sollte der Hersteller eine faire Lösung anbieten, bin ich gerne bereit, meine Bewertung entsprechend zu aktualisieren.

Annotations often reflect popular opinion rather than accuracy, which can affect reliability. There are also concerns about content being uploaded without proper verification.

It used to be a great resource, but with more focus on extra features, the overall quality has declined. With better moderation and transparency, it could improve again.

I am the legal guardian and authorized representative of the artist HaVexy. Recently, an individual uploaded the entire “Ear Blessers” album to Genius without authorization, falsely claiming it as their own work.

Genius did not verify the identity or rights of this user before publishing the album, which resulted in our original recordings being distributed without consent. This oversight allowed a third party to misrepresent copyrighted material and mislead listeners.

I hope Genius strengthens its verification and content review process to prevent unauthorized uploads in the future.

Wie lange muss man diese Werbung im Fernsehen eigentlich noch ertragen ? Man wird belogen und betrogen. Mein Geld kann ich auch so zum Fenster rauswerfen!!!

Everything sucks. They keep suspending my accounts for no reason, I don't know why. I hate them, one star, there are so many Reddit reviews on how bad it is, I recommend checking it out.

Die Pfannen sind der letzte Mist.
Das Werbung nie die Wahrheit sagt ist ja bekannt.
Aber diese minderwertigen Produkte sind einfach lächerlich.
Die Beschichtung ist ein hauchdünnes nichts.
Hitzebeständig ist auch etwas anderes , Pfannen biegen sich mittig hoch , Das keine Zubereitung mehr von irgendwas möglich ist.
Beschichtung löst sich nach sehr kurzer Zeit und landet im Essen.

Reinigung und Pflege nach Herstellerangaben wurden stets Eingehalten.

Diese Mängel sind bereits nach ca 2 Wochen aufgetreten.

Garantie wurde mir verwehrt mit der Begründung das Ich zu blöd bin für so ein Hightech Produkt.

so etwas (oder so eine Schweinerei) habe ich noch nie erlebt und bin mittlerweile ein Nervenbündel. Glücklicherweise hat DHL nun den Betrag erstattet, sodass ich Ihnen das Geld überwiesen habe - aber das, was Sie mit Ihren Kunden machen, spricht jenseits von Gut und Böse.
Das schlimmste ist jedoch, dass man keinerlei Kontakt mit Ihnen aufnehmen, weder mit Ihnen noch mit Ihrem Rechnungs-Abrechner (im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes).

ich habe am 20.10.2025 Feelevita Nutrition Kapseln bestellt. In der Werbung wurde eine 30 tägige Rückgabegarantie versprochen. Nach kurzer Zeit stellt ich fest, dass dieses Produkt überhaupt keine Wirkung zeigt. Daraufhin kontaktierte ich GENIUS da ich nicht genau wusste wohin ich die Lieferung senden kann. Eine Mitarbeiterin von GENIUS brach nach kurzer Zeit einfach das Gespräch mit mir ab. Soetwas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Auch auf meine Email hat bis heute niemand geantwortet. Daraufhin habe ich die Ware einfach an eine der beiden Adressen gesendet. Nach ein paar Tagen kam die angebrochene Tablettendose zurück.Ei roter Zettel lag bei mit dem Hinweis: Aus Gründen des Gesundheits- und Hygienenschutzes kann die Ware NICHT retourniert werden, wenn das Sicherheitssiegel beschädigt oder entfernt wurde. Nur wie soll ich ein Produckt testen, wenn ich es nicht öffnen darf??? da mir dann die Retoure nicht mehr erstattet wird??? In der Werbung ist davon keine Rede.Antworten auf meine Fragen erhalte ich nie. Bin gespannt wie lange die Rückerstattung dauert

Leider habe ich die Tabletten nicht vertragen und habe sie somit auf eigene Kosten zurück versandt.

Wir haben ein 3er Pfannenset von Genius gekauft; nach 3 Monaten waren alle Pfannen trotz vorsichtiger Pflege zerkratzt und unbrauchbar ! Auch die Böden waren verbogen und wurden von der Induktion nicht mehr erkannt ! Reklamation wurde trotz Garantie abgeschmettert, Kommunikation minus 10 ! Mein Rat Finger weg von diesen Schrottprodukten ! Unterirdisch !

Auf gut Deutsch gesagt, der letzte Dreck die so angepriesenen Cerafit Pfannen.
Habe sie in den zwei Jahren zweimal reklamiert wegen kratzer an der Keramik Oberfläche. Das erste Mal wurden die Pfannen anstandslos getauscht. Jetzt kurz vor Ende der Gewährleistung nach zwei Jahren sind meine vorgebrachten Reklamationen aufgrund “nicht sachgerechter “ Benutzung. D.h. die neuen Kratzer zaubern sich rein und die verfärbte Oberfläche die jetzt auch alles ankleben lässt, wäre meine Schuld…

Sauber Genius, erst Dreck verkaufen und dann dem Endverbraucher die Schuld geben ohne sich eine Pfanne im Original angesehen zu haben…

Ich kann nur sagen… Finger weg von dem Mist lieber bisschen Geld sparen und Qualität kaufen… wer billig kauft, kauft zweimal!

Artikel wurde nur teilweise geliefert.
Nach eine 3 Monaten kam der Anruf von Genius wir liefern in den nächsten Tagen .Inzwischen sind 3 Wochen vergangen nicht kam .Rechnung mit Mahngebühren .
Rate jeden ab bei den Unternehmen zubestellen . Die ganze Werbesendung in Fernsehen ist nur Betrug. Habe nachgeforscht das gleiche Produkt bekommt man bei Temo in China. Werde jetzt mein Rechtsanwalt einschalten.

so nun kam zum dritten mal über Amazon, dass ich den Topper 180x200x9cm in einen Karton mit 60x60x120 packen sollte, dieses nicht funktioniert.
