The preparations for the application were very demanding for me personally, as I had to prove my relationship with my future wife from Morocco (through photos of trips to the mountains, restaurants, cultural activities, WhatsApp video evidence over an extended period, photos with my partner's family members, etc.). Everything is explained fully and clearly at the beginning, then you go onto picking where and when you'd like to get married, also collecting and sorting out documents. With regards to documents, they have to be strict to make sure those documents will get accepted by the AFL, but they make sure they're always professional and helpful with it. They want the process to be as swift and relaxing as much as you do.

Once the documents are all sorted, they'll help you getting a place to stay, recommended things to do during your stay and will check up on you to make sure everything is okay. My husband and I got married in Odense, which was a beautiful place that I would definitely recommend.

If you have any questions about anything, just ask and they're more than happy to help. They also respond within the same day, fairly often within the hour (with the exemption of out of hours and weekends which is completely understandable). Even after your married and the whole process is done, if you ever have any questions in the future, they're always there to help.
