My experience with Glecta has been very positive. The mock exams were well organised and closely reflected the real exam environment. The feedback provided after the tests was detailed and helped us identify strengths as well as areas that needed improvement. The staff were supportive and the overall process was smooth. It has been a valuable experience and has helped build confidence for the 11+ exams.

My child came out crying
My child came out crying. She didnt understand what she was supposed to be doing as the staff didnt give clear instructions, including about when to start! They also weren't given a break (as promised on the website). She had to sit 3 papers for over 2.5hrs without a single break. In addition to all this, we just looked through the papers which were GCSE level! This was supposed to be 11+. I have run a successful tuition centre for 10 years and I am shocked at how awful this was.

We are sorry to hear that your child came out feeling upset. However, we are unable to identify you or your child from this review, and we are not entirely sure which service you are referring to.
If you are referring to the mock examinations we conducted today across four different centres, all instructions were communicated clearly and loudly before each paper, including when candidates should begin and stop. The children were also asked to raise their hands to confirm that they had understood the instructions, which they did.
Scheduled breaks are provided between papers. The overall session lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes because the papers themselves take around 2 hours and 10 minutes, with the remaining time allocated to instructions, paper collection and breaks. We would therefore need your child’s details to investigate the claim that no break was provided at the specific centre attended.
We also strongly disagree with the suggestion that our 11+ papers were at GCSE level. Our papers are specifically designed for competitive selective-school entrance preparation. Challenging 11+ questions can be considerably harder than standard primary-school work, but that does not make them GCSE-level material.
We have been running tuition and mock examinations for seven years, and a large number of parents have trusted us with their children’s 11+ and GCSE preparation. Their experiences are reflected in the many five-star reviews available on Trustpilot and other platforms.
Children attending a formal mock examination for the first time can sometimes feel overwhelmed or misunderstand part of the process, particularly in a large examination environment. However, it is important that the facts are established before making serious public allegations about the organisation and its staff.
As someone who states that they have run a successful tuition centre for ten years, we are sure you will appreciate the importance of contacting another education provider directly and allowing them to investigate before publicly describing the service as “awful.”
Please contact us with your child’s name, SID, venue and examination code. We will review the matter with the relevant centre staff and provide a factual response.

A huge thanks to Glecta!
We didn’t have much time to prepare for the 11 plus, but the team at Glecta worked incredibly hard with my son. Their dedication, encouragement and dedicated support made all the difference. All the teachers are amazing at Glecta. The teachers are so patient, nurturing and attentive to the needs of my child. They prepared a tailored teaching plan to ensure that he was fully prepared before he took his 11 plus exam.
